They will stop at nothing to indoctrinate children, making them mentally weak and easy to fool and manipulate. Creating, well, the perfect Democrat. In parts one and two of this series, we’ve examined how Democrats and their poisoned ideology have declared war on America’s children. If anyone has any doubt as to the intention of the Progressive left to poison the minds of children and ruin their future, look no further than America’s teachers’ unions, especially Randi Weingarten’s American Federation of Teachers.

Historically working in tandem with the Democrat Party, teachers’ unions are intense advocates for curriculum that does not include basic knowledge to get ahead in life. Rather than actual education, its agenda includes social justice propaganda, racial division, climate change dogma, and promotion of sexual deviancy. Why would public school teachers and their unions place such emphasis on what many people consider to be a radical agenda to confuse children too young to fully understand what they were being presented? Teachers in public schools are planting seeds in the minds of kids to accept that confusion, gray areas, uncertainties, anxiety, and panic are natural occurrences in life. This allows for kids to grow up into dysfunctional adults, unable to handle the realities of life and, therefore, ideal subjects for government control.

Tapson: The Real Agenda Behind ‘Banned Books Week’

September 22-28 is Banned Books Week, an annual event organized by the American Library Association (ALA) to bring together “the entire book community – librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers of all types – in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas.” That sounds perfectly unobjectionable until you realize that Banned Books Week 2024 is actually about the Progressive “book community” uniting to push the normalization of gender ideology and the breakdown of any community standard for obscenity. Launched in 1982, the event ostensibly is designed to bring national attention to the ongoing threat of censorship, but in fact the focus behind it today is to demonize parents and Right-wing politicians as fascists and book burners for expressing concern about schoolchildren being exposed to shockingly pornographic books available in school libraries. The truth is that not one of those parents or politicians is calling for a book ban – all of the challenged books are merely a click away on Amazon or stocked in local bookstores – but merely to keep this unsuitably adult material out of the hands of children.

Several representatives questioned whether USPS would be able to handle election mail during DeJoy’s testimony in front of the House Appropriations Committee’s Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government. His testimony comes on the heels of concerns, including from the National Association of State Election Directors, about USPS being able to process and deliver the millions of ballots.

Anderson: Harvard Referred 68 Encampment Participants for Discipline. Now, With Classes in Full Swing, None Are Suspended.

The report, released Thursday, admonishes Harvard for failing to impose “meaningful discipline on antisemitic students who engaged in conduct in violation of University rules, including participating in the Harvard encampment, occupying a campus building, and disrupting classes.” Fifty-two of the 68 student encampment participants referred for discipline, for example, are now in “good standing,” according to the report. Fifteen are on probation, and one is on leave. None are suspended. The revelation suggests Garber will not take a harsher stance toward anti-Israel protesters than his predecessor, Claudine Gay, who infamously declared during a December congressional hearing that “calling for the genocide of Jews” may not violate Harvard’s harassment rules.

No more diplomatic games from Biden and Blinken. President Biden has seen enough. On Sept. 26, the United States joined nine other countries and the European Union to demand a three-week ceasefire across the Lebanon-Israel border. “It is time,” the group said in a statement, “to conclude a diplomatic settlement that enables civilians on both sides of the border to return to their homes in safety.” I’ve consumed a lot of multilateral mush during the Biden years. Never have I encountered a statement as disingenuous, deluded, and feckless as this. Notice who signed it: the United States, Australia, Canada, the EU, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. Not Israel. Not Lebanon. And, most significantly, neither Hezbollah nor Iran. The terrorist army and its patron aren’t mentioned. How do you negotiate a ceasefire without naming the belligerents?

Taleblu: Iran ‘takes the win’ in the Middle East

If anybody has learned how to “take the win” in the Middle East since Oct. 7, it has been Iran. More than a month has passed since Iranian officials promised “bloodlust” and revenge against Israel for the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. And while the threats continue, no attack has materialized. It may be tempting to think the increased U.S. military presence in the region is the reason behind this delay. But success rather than fear is the more likely driver of Iranian restraint in this instance. And that’s a problem.

Politically, the Islamic Republic is benefiting from a contradiction at the heart of how the Biden administration sees the Middle East. Since Oct. 7, U.S. officials have stressed that Washington seeks both “de-escalation” and “deterrence.” But conceptually, to bolster deterrence, a willingness to escalate must be perceived. Conversely, to foster de-escalation, one might inadvertently create conditions in the mind of the adversary that erode deterrence.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has disclosed in a report that tech giants are collecting massive amounts of data from their young users. The FTC report published Sept. 19 expounded on how social media and streaming companies endanger children and teens who use their platforms. It also showed how “the tech industry’s monetization of personal data has created a market for commercial surveillance – especially via social media and video streaming services – with inadequate guardrails to protect consumers.”

Why it matters: Trump’s announcement — during a press conference at Trump Tower in New York — also comes one day after the former president accused Zelensky of making “little, nasty aspersions” toward him. Driving the news: “It’s a shame what’s happening in Ukraine, so many deaths, so much destruction. It’s a horrible thing,” Trump said.

Dueck: Defending J.D. Vance

He’s decidedly not a traitor to his class. One of the many left-wing lines of attack against vice-presidential nominee J.D. Vance is that he’s “not authentic.” Biden’s former press secretary Jen Psaki recently used those words when she warned that “the American public can sniff inauthenticity.” They certainly can. So by all means let’s discuss J.D. Vance, his liberal critics, and the issue of authenticity. In the summer of 2016, the left-liberal media praised Vance’s book Hillbilly Elegy as an honest, timely reflection on white working-class poverty, providing clues into why these traditionally Democratic voters embraced Donald Trump in the primaries. The New York Times, for example, called it “a compassionate, discerning sociological analysis of the white underclass that has helped drive the politics of rebellion.” In the closing chapters of his book, Vance describes grinding his way through a big state school—The Ohio State University—and then being accepted into Yale Law. Upon arriving in the Ivy League, he realizes he’s in an alien environment. Vance is a state school kid from an obscure place—a low income, conservative, straight white male, low church Protestant. In Middletown or at OSU, this wasn’t considered strange. In his first year law class, however, there’s almost nobody like him. Vance describes what he calls “culture shock” at Yale. The Lamar Advertising Company rejected a billboard design from Catholics for Catholics that contained a prayer for Donald Trump. […] After receiving the billboard location proposals from Lamar, Flamenco said she attempted to negotiate the costs of placing the design, at which point Kuermaier purportedly claimed he couldn’t offer any discounts because the company classified CforC’s billboard art as a “political ad.” Flamenco said she contended that the design was part of a “Prayer Campaign for Country and Leaders.” She claimed the Lamar executive responded by saying CforC could get the discount if it removed Trump’s face from the billboard. […] CforC claimed in a press release this month that its “volunteers have identified the actual billboard location [in Milwaukee] that was canceled” and “report[ed] back that the opposite sides of the agreed upon boards contain pro Kamala Harris advertisements.”

Gerstein & Cheney: Rudy Giuliani permanently disbarred in Washington, DC

In a one-page order Thursday, the D.C. Court of Appeals did not directly address a bar committee’s recommendation in May that Giuliani be disbarred for pressing a legal challenge to the election results in Pennsylvania without factual support for the claims.

Instead, a three-judge panel of the D.C. court found that Giuliani failed to respond to an order requiring him to explain why he shouldn’t face “reciprocal” disbarment after a New York appeals court’s decision to strip him of his law license in that state. The D.C. court temporarily suspended Giuliani in July 2021 after being notified of a similar suspension in New York.
