From the 1960s until the end of the Obama Administration, the borders of the conservative movement were very clearly understood. This was true even as, or perhaps in part because, the movement was growing more and more sclerotic. Trump played a key role in breaking up this ossified Republican establishment, but he wasn’t the initiator. The structure was already hollowing out, and Trump’s victory in the 2016 primaries only administered the final push. The rain came down, the floods rushed in, the winds blew and beat against that house, and great was the fall of it. After the collapse, we didn’t simply aim to re-build. We set ourselves to the work of building a new movement—leaner, stronger, and custom-designed for the powerful new storms we face. Elements of the old guard have recognized the need for something new and brought their wisdom to bear on the new coalition. But many have “self-deported” or been replaced. Step #1: Dehumanization The first step in any eugenics-based program is to dehumanize a targeted population. After all, it is much easier to kill or exploit a victim who has been dehumanized and demonized. We have seen many instances of this: . . . Neither is Facebook or YouTube. They are giant media companies that dominate and control the flow of speech throughout the world. A new California law that targets medical professionals for spreading purported COVID-19 misinformation is not only unconstitutional but has already been weaponized against doctors for sharing their informed judgments on treatments and risks, they claim. The notion that one need withhold any and all forms of putative treatment or therapy as one approach in addressing Covid-19 or its symptoms, is a principle which functions under the philosophy of a ‘controlled experiment’ (i.e. medical experimentation to confirm an approach as sound/unsound). As a result of such control-versus-test experimentation, we now know that there exist a variety of viable treatments for Covid-19 and in particular, its dangerous secondary conditions.2 3 4 Doing nothing as it turns out, was an unsound approach to the majority of Covid-19 cases. ‘Long Covid’ for instance, is a set of thromboembolic injuries which resulted from exactly this illegitimate ‘there are no treatments – you should have been vaccinated’ control-oriented philosophy (yes, this amphibology is intentional).5 6

Ely: Should you save a dying stranger if you know they eat MEAT? Oxford philosopher controversially argues that it’s ethical to let them die because of the suffering they cause to animals (and he’s not even a vegan!)

Letting meat eaters drown is ethical because of the suffering they cause to animals, an Oxford University academic has controversially argued. Dr Michael Plant, a philosopher focusing on happiness, who does eat meat himself, claims that, according to some moral philosophies, it can be justifiable to let people like himself die. His argument stems from a conflict of what he says are two commonly held beliefs. The first is human beings have a duty to rescue each other when doing so comes at a trivial cost. For example, jumping into a pond to save a drowning child but ruining your clothes in the process.

The second belief, Dr Plant claims, is it is wrong to eat meat because of the suffering animals can experience in factory farms. Livestock, like chickens, can often be kept in cramped, dirty conditions before they are slaughtered. He says this conflict leaves people who subscribe to the second belief in a morally interesting position if they encounter someone who eats meat drowning in a pond, and that allowing them to die might, in fact, be the lesser evil. […] ‘I argue that, if meat eating is wrong on animal suffering grounds then, once we consider how much suffering might occur, it starts to seem plausible that saving strangers would be the greater evil than not rescuing them and is, therefore, not required after all.’
