NOTABLE QUOTES

Bruce Thornton contributor to FrontPage Magazine: But another dubious idea has developed to justify our and Europe’s porous borders: Replacement Migrations. Pursuing this short-sighted idea will accelerate the dilution of national identity, an outcome progressives fervently desire as a mechanism for transforming our Constitutional order of divided government, federalism, and unalienable rights into technocratic rule by a “managerial elite.” Those technocrats’ utopian ideals like “equity” an “social justice” will further compromise the rights and freedoms of others.

Nidal Hasan, Islamic terrorist Fort Hood shooter who murdered 13 people: “We Have Won!!!”

Peter Boghossian Portland State University Philosophy Professor wrote in his resignation letter: It has transformed a bastion of free inquiry into a Social Justice factory whose only inputs were race, gender, and victimhood and whose only outputs were grievance and division.

Joy Pullmann contributor to The Federalist: Being forced to wear a mask is being forced to communicate that I support treating COVID-19 as if it should take priority over everything else in life. That’s not only false, but evil.

Fletch Daniels contributor to American Thinker: We were literally funding research by our biggest geopolitical rival on how to turn a harmless virus to humans into one that could wreak chaos in human populations. Mission accomplished.

Jimmy Kimmel the not so funny late-night comic: “Dr. Fauci said that if hospitals get any more overcrowded they’re going to have to make some very tough choices about who gets an ICU bed. That choice doesn’t seem so tough to me. Vaccinated person having a heart attack? Yes, come right on in, we’ll take care of you. Unvaccinated guy who gobbled horse goo? Rest in peace, wheezy.”

Sundance contributor to The Last Refuge: A vaccinated person is, as a consequence of their decision, in an irreversible frame of mind. Once the vaccination has been injected into a persons body, there is no turning back; the Rubicon has been crossed, the event horizon closes, there is no retreat. Any conversation or debate about vaccine efficacy or long-term consequences with a person who has accepted the vaccine must be weighed accordingly. The no-retreat baseline can, often does, form the origin of anger and vitriol, particularly in unstable leftists -who are, by nature of their ideology- professional blame-casters and prone to emotional responses as a matter of disposition. Therefore, it is better to avoid the topic entirely (if possible) and retain your peace of mind.

Christopher Bedford contributor to The Federalist: And nothing — nothing — is more sacred to the left than abortion. Having long shed the “safe, legal and rare” lie of the 1990s, the abortion of children has achieved an Arc of the Covenant-like status, with all who touch or even approach it becoming worthy of pitiless destruction. Simply speaking of it without active celebration is heresy.

REMEMBERING 9/11

Malanga: When Flags Waved
The stirring response by New Yorkers and Americans everywhere to the 9/11 terrorist attacks is a reminder of what the country used to be—and can be again. One of the dominant media narratives in the immediate aftermath of September 11, 2001, was that the attacks had transformed New York and America forever. CBS called its documentary on 9/11 The Day That Changed America. Newspaper columnists wrote pieces with headlines like, “We Are Different Now.” Walking the streets of Manhattan in those days, it wasn’t far-fetched to think this way. The attacks had exposed New York and other great American cities as “soft” targets. Every parked truck could be loaded with bombs, every plane in the sky was a potential missile, and plenty of angry, evil people around the world were ready to attack us. Newspapers warned that some Manhattan businesses had already started renting space outside the city; one of New York’s most important industries, tourism, seemed gone for the foreseeable future. But while memories of that sky-blue Tuesday morning are seared into the minds of those who lived through it, 9/11 changed America and New York much less, it turns out, than we imagined. Yes, we still wait in airport lines to be X-rayed before boarding planes. Survivors still feel the absence of those they lost on that day. And in our efforts to root out terrorist bases overseas—to fight what George W. Bush would proclaim as a War on Terror—we began wars that resulted in occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan spanning two decades. With the recent ongoing disaster in Afghanistan, it’s as if everything has come full circle—and right on cue.

BEHIND THE DEEP STATE

Margolis: The CDC Just Made an Orwellian Change to the Definition of ‘Vaccine’ and ‘Vaccination’
For your entire life, you’ve known that when you get vaccinated, you’re protected from a particular disease. You’ve probably been vaccinated for such diseases as polio, tetanus, measles, diphtheria, and others, and you no longer have to worry about them, because the whole reason your parents took you to the doctor to get those shots was to protect you from those diseases. Polio, in particular, has been completely wiped out in the United States thanks to the immunity created by vaccination. This is why the CDC says that vaccines provide immunity, which means that we can be exposed to a disease without becoming infected by it. At least they used to. A recent change on the CDC website should disturb all of us because it appears that the CDC is trying to change how we understand vaccinations. Here’s the “Definition of Terms” for Immunization as captured on August 26, 2021. I’ve highlighted the key points. […] Here’s the “Definition of Terms” for immunizations now, which was updated on September 1, 2021, with changes highlighted. […] Is this part of the Biden administration’s efforts to make the public accept regular COVID-19 boosters by changing how we understand the purpose of vaccines?

2020 ELECTION

Hoft: HERE IT IS – Full Report from Canvassing Work Completed in Arizona’s Maricopa County
173,104 lost votes and 96,389 ghost votes. Lost votes are those votes where people voted but their votes were discarded. Ghost votes are those votes cast by someone other than the voter assigned to the vote. Dead voters accounted for a significant number of these anomalies.

Hoft: HUGE UPDATE: Voter Integrity Groups are Analyzing Video Evidence of Ballot Trafficking on Massive Scale in Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan
According to John Fredericks, investigators now have video of 240 leftist operatives he called “ballot traffickers” dumping tens of thousands of ballots into drop boxes in the middle of the night in locations across Georgia. The leftist operatives were identified making numerous drops in the middle of the night. They were filmed emptying their backpacks of ballots into the drop boxes in the middle of the night. Ballot harvesting is not legal in Georgia. This was criminal behavior caught on video! True the Vote and OPSEC Group have copies of the video and are promising to release it in the near future. […] The document says that True The Vote has spent the last several months since late last year collecting more than 27 terabytes of geospatial and temporal data—a total of 10 trillion cell phone pings—between Oct. 1 and Nov. 6 in targeted areas in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Texas. The data includes geofenced points of interest like ballot dropbox locations, as well as UPS stores and select government, commercial, and non-governmental organization (NGO) facilities.

CALIFORNIA’S GUBERNATORIAL RECALL ELECTION

VDH: Recall the California Ideology
A careening Golden State is heading for a colossal train wreck. Voters will have to pick between the incompetent engineer or the private passenger rushing into the cab to get the engine back on track. California once was run by alternating conservatives and mostly centrist Democrats. True, paleo-liberal governors like Pat Brown greatly expanded the welfare state. But they also believed in pushing integration, building freeways, dams, aqueducts, and power plants, while preventing forest fires, directing the mentally ill into state hospitals, and ensuring the state enhanced the housing, timber, oil and gas, nuclear, and agricultural industries. So why and how would anyone deliberately destroy that heritage?

Showalter: Desperate Democrats wheel out Obama to try to save Newsom
Things have got to be bad for Democrats right now as they desperately try to whip up the vote to save the job of California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom in the Sept. 14 recall election. They called in Joe Biden, president of the United States, who is set to make an appearance for their man this week. They called in Kamala Harris, vice president of the United States, longtime Newsom pal, and former California senator, who showed up for appearances Wednesday. Normally, when you’ve got the president of the United States campaigning for you, it’s a wrap. The big guy makes an appearance and the voters come running. Big Guys don’t often do this, and that makes this all the more special. But something doesn’t seem to be happening, so now they’ve pulled out their real ace in the hole, Barack Obama, . . .

FAUCI’S VIRUS: IT’S POLITICAL

Shurkiss: A censored biologist views the COVID vaccine debacle as part of a ‘noble lie’
During a viral pandemic, the public health authorities may conclude that the best policy is to vaccinate as large a percentage of the population as possible, providing, of course, a vaccine is available. Once a threshold of the vaccinated is reached, the thinking is that herd immunity will kick in and eventually drive the virus to extinction. Here’s where game theory comes in. The health authorities view vaccination as being for the overall good. However, many individuals will refuse taking it as all vaccines have risks associated with them to one degree or another. In Weinstein’s hypothetical example, the non-vaxxers are relying on others to assume the risk of vaccination while they ‘free-ride’ on herd immunity. But if enough people free-ride, the desired threshold of the vaccinated is never reached. To counter this, the health authorities feel they must do what they can to get as many people vaccinated as possible. This includes using blatant falsehoods and scare tactics. The authorities feel justified in lying, putting out misinformation, and censoring opposing views. It’s all for the common good, they tell both themselves and their political master. Deception like this can fall in the category of the”noble lie.” A good working definition of a noble lie is that it is an untruth deliberately propagated by the elite to maintain social order or to advance an agenda. With the current Wuhan virus pandemic, the noble lie is looked at by the powers-that-be as a prerogative of the government and public health officials to be employed in emergency situations. Even if you accept that for the sake of argument, Weinstein notes a further problem. The entire premise of a noble lie falls apart when outside interests have captured the institutions of public health and use this prerogative to deceive to advance their own selfish agendas unbeknownst to the public. To my eye, this is the situation we’re in. Big Pharma and other outside money sources like the Gates Foundation have unduly influenced (corrupted) organizations like . . .

Pullmann: The Top Reason I Hate Masks Is They Force Me To Live By Lies
Throughout the last year, I’ve read a lot of masking arguments but none that broached my top objection: mask mandates force me to communicate what I believe are very dangerous lies. Even if masks ultimately do provide some small reduction in coronavirus spread without imposing additional harms, a contentious claim, to me that is almost beside the point. The point is the security theater, which assumes that drastic government micromanagement of our lives and indefinite curtailment of our liberties are not only ever acceptable but in fact the moral thing to do. I’m not talking about high-risk situations like nursing homes or hospitals or the homes of cancer patients, where I am willing to mask and sanitize and so forth for the chance it may indeed protect highly vulnerable people. I’m talking about in normal life, in public settings. Despite what people have been shanghaied into assuming, these are low-risk environments and should be treated as such. Far above and beyond any health considerations, masking is a symbol. It is a talisman, a ritual, a communication of premises that I utterly reject. Being forced to wear a mask to me is the equivalent of being forced to wear a T-shirt that supports legalized abortion, which I believe is mass murder.

GOP

Colvin & Gruver: Trump to Endorse Former Liz Cheney Ally to Challenge Her
Donald Trump is backing Harriet Hageman, a Wyoming lawyer, in a primary challenge against GOP Rep. Liz Cheney, Politico reports, citing three unidentified people with knowledge of his plans. The Associated Press also confirmed Hageman as Trump’s choice, citing one unnamed source.
Trump’s pick for someone to challenge one of his most vocal Republican critics is seen as his most important endorsement so far in his post-presidency. […] Trump met with Hageman last month as he assessed the potential candidate pool, hoping an early endorsement would help clear the field and prevent a crowded primary that might be advantageous to Cheney’s chances.

Sundance: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is Following The Exact COVID Protocol Recommended By U.K. Senior Vaccinologist Sir Andrew Pollard
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is continually under blistering attack from those who exploit the politics of COVID-19 without regard for health or safety. However, as you will see below in comments delivered today by DeSantis and previous (non-criticized) opinion from the U.K. Vaccinologist in Great Britain, Sir Andrew Pollard, what the Florida governor is doing is EXACTLY what the Director of the U.K. Oxford Vaccine Group has recommended for all world leaders. Evidence around the world is showing that vaccination will not stop the spread of COVID-19, and it will, as a result of a vaccinated approach, continually mutate into ever-changing variants. […] Listen to the leading U.K. Vaccinologist in Great Britain, Sir Andrew Pollard, and contrast these recommendations with the approach the Florida Governor is taking . . . In essence, both Dr. Andrew Pollard (Director of the U.K. Oxford Vaccine Group) and Dr. Malone, a U.S. leading expert on pandemics, state that variants of the COVID-19 virus will continue to spread throughout the population regardless of vaccine status; and the virus will continue to evolve into more infectious but less deadly or pathogenic strains. There simply is no way to vaccinate the population and stop the spread of COVID variants, because the vaccinated will contract and spread the virus just like the non-vaccinated. The vaccine approach should be targeted to the elderly and those most at risk from a respiratory virus.

SECOND AMENDMENT UNDER ASSAULT

Overstreet: Ammo Alone Won’t Keep You Safe. Here’s What To Do When It’s Hard To Find
The Biden administration’s decision to stop the importation of ammunition from Russia—which it claims is in retaliation for that country’s attempted assassination of a political opposition figure—has some supporters of the right to arms chafing. However, it is relatively inconsequential, the ammunition shortage it compounds has been mostly the fault of hoarders, and its effect can easily be minimized. […] Fifth, while a lot of ammunition is needed for serious practice over time, the most efficient way to improve one’s firearm skill—in terms of the time, money, and energy invested in relation to the return on that investment—is without ammunition, by what is commonly referred to as “dry firing,” the required safety precautions for which can be explained by any competent instructor. According to former Army Special Forces soldier Mike Green, whose company, Green-Ops, conducts defensive firearm classes and dry-fire clinics in Northern Virginia and South-Central Texas, “dry-firing is the most often overlooked element of a comprehensive training program. But it shouldn’t be. It’s simple and almost cost-free.”

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING FOREIGN POLICY

Ross & Beyer: Koch-Funded Quincy Institute Joins Communists To Demand Biden Administration Lift Sanctions on US Enemies
The Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft is joining a coalition of civil society groups that call for President Joe Biden to roll back sanctions against Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, and Cuba. Forty-six organizations, including two avowedly Communist groups, on Tuesday submitted a letter to Biden that urges him to implement “significant” changes to the United States’ sanctions policy. The U.S. Peace Council and International Action Center are openly supportive of Communist and totalitarian regimes. […] “We write to urge you to complete the administration’s sanctions policy review as expeditiously as possible, to make its findings public, and to implement significant and structural changes to U.S. sanctions policy,” the letter reads. […] Another signatory, CODEPINK, is waging a campaign called “China Is Not Our Enemy” to oppose the Biden administration’s pending arms sales to Taiwan. Many of the group’s arguments echo Chinese Communist Party talking points.

Kredo: Biden Admin Seeks to Waive Sanctions on Assad
The Biden administration is expected to waive sanctions on Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad to facilitate an energy deal with Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon, according to congressional sources briefed on the matter. The administration wants to waive portions of the bipartisan Caesar Act, which applied wide-ranging sanctions on Assad for his war crimes in Syria, to facilitate an energy deal with Arab nations that would provide the Assad regime with a financial and political lifeline. […] The Biden administration would have to waive key sanctions on Assad in order for the deal to go through. As Biden and Democrats in Congress signal a willingness to back sanctions relief, Republican foreign policy leaders say removing sanctions on Assad will embolden his Iranian backers as well as Hezbollah. Indeed, Hezbollah itself . . .

CHINA: AMERICA’S MORTAL ENEMY

Regan: China to provide Afghanistan with $31 million worth of food and Covid vaccines
Hua Chunyin, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, said the decision was announced during the first meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries and would be “for emergency use to the Afghan people.” […] Speaking at the foreign minister’s meeting in Beijing via video link, Wang also said the United States and its allies were more obligated than any other country to provide economic and humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people. Following the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and subsequent Taliban takeover, Wang said the US should “assume their responsibilities” in the country by helping ensure its development and stability while “respecting the sovereignty and independence of Afghanistan,” Xinhua reported.

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING AMERICA

Margolis: Too Little, Too Late: Millions of Biden Voters Regret Their Vote
According to the latest Zogby Poll, one-fifth of likely voters say they regret their vote for Biden. Zogby says that “on the surface it doesn’t seem like much, especially if you look at the three quarters of likely voters who did not regret their vote,” but it actually matters a lot. And I agree. “Why does this matter?” Zogby asks. “If you take into consideration the size of the electorate, and how the last two Presidential elections [2016 and 2020] were decided by tens of thousands of votes in a handful of battleground states, this could really hurt President Biden’s chances in 2024.”

Thornton: Suicide by ‘Replacement Migration’
The Biden administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan is also worsening our already dangerous immigration crisis. Tens of thousands Afghans are being brought into the country, with little serious vetting to discriminate between those who served loyally with our troops and intelligence agencies; and those who just want a better life or have more sinister motives. This new influx comes on top of the one million migrants who have crossed our southern border just since Biden’s inauguration. All these new migrants are being dispersed throughout the country at taxpayer expense. This process of transforming American identity and its defining political principles and virtues has been going on since the feckless 1965 immigration bill, which provided entrance to family members of immigrants, multiplying their numbers by as much as a factor of 8. The political and economic motives for this weakening of our border have likewise long been obvious––voters for progressives, cheap labor for free marketeers.

Levine: White House planning to withdraw ATF nominee
Chipman is currently a senior policy advisor to Giffords, a gun control group, and faced an uphill battle to Senate confirmation as President Joe Biden’s point person on firearms regulation. Sen. Angus King (I-Maine) had previously told the Biden administration and Senate Democrats that he was not supportive of the nominee. Other moderate Democratic senators, including Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Jon Tester of Montana, have also remained noncommittal on the pick. Chipman, meanwhile, faced universal opposition from Senate Republicans. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell described the nominee as an “anti-gun extremist” and asked for the White House to withdraw his nomination. The White House declined to comment on the imminent yanking of the nomination. It’s unclear when the formal withdrawal of Chipman’s nomination will take place, though it could happen as soon as this week.

Foldi: Voters Concerned Trillions in Domestic Spending Will Fuel Inflation, Polls Show
President Joe Biden is working to pivot away from the Afghanistan crisis to focus on his domestic agenda, but polling suggests American voters are sensing a looming economic crisis. Ninety percent of registered voters reported paying more for goods they regularly purchase, according to a survey of 1,200 people commissioned by Heritage Action, a conservative group. Only 29 percent said their personal finances are better off today than they were a year ago, and 65 percent believe that Biden’s multitrillion-dollar plan will worsen inflation. The Biden administration has made a concerted effort to pivot to domestic policies this week. The White House press briefing on Wednesday opened with a discussion of plans to tackle inflation and an explanation by Biden’s top economic aide Brian Deese that the spike in grocery prices was overblown. The administration also released a plan that it said will alleviate the rising costs of meat, which it believes is driving inflation concerns.

THE CORRUPT & DANGEROUS DEMOCRAT PARTY MEDIA INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

Daniels: It’s the Story of the Century, and the Media Yawn
Never before in human history has a global pandemic resulted in the dismemberment of first-world economies, highly divisive universal vaccine and mask mandates, education-stunting school shutdowns, and the isolation of entire societies to the point of extreme mental health damage. Throughout all this, the media have remained incurious as to how this historic misery happened. […] . . . the fact that Saint Fauci is the director of an organization, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, that provided U.S. funding on “gain of function” research to the tune of nearly $600,000 on several types of coronaviruses at the very lab where the leak happened may well be the biggest story of the last fifty years. Gain of function is shorthand for research that adds a new function to an existing virus, which in this case is the rather inconvenient function of infecting humans. We were literally funding research by our biggest geopolitical rival on how to turn a harmless virus to humans into one that could wreak chaos in human populations. Mission accomplished. That’s an earth-shattering story that fully vindicates Senator Rand Paul, who has been at the forefront of this, even as he was lyingly insulted by the guilty Fauci himself.

A CHURCH IN CRISIS

Cashill: Is Pope Francis Trying to Kill Catholicism?
The most prominent Catholic leader in Texas, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, the archbishop of Houston-Galveston, made headlines this past week. On the very same day the Supreme Court decided not to block Texas’s new abortion laws — an excellent opportunity for a headline-making quote — the good Cardinal used his bully pulpit to prohibit the Latin Mass in certain Houston parishes. Cardinal DiNardo, alas, was taking his cue from the top. In July, Pope Francis put his thumb in the eye of those faithful Catholics dutifully trying to ignore his ongoing flirtation with the anti-Christian Left. He issued an Apostolic Letter cracking down on the Latin Mass, the revival of which over the last 30 years has been the greatest boon to American Catholicism since Fulton Sheen discovered television. Pope Francis, a Jesuit, gives individual bishops the power to “regulate” the Latin revival. That said, papal dictates such as “take care not to authorize the establishment of new groups” leave little doubt about his long-term intentions. The pope’s gesture struck many Catholics as so gratuitously self-destructive that it revived the old joke, “What’s the difference between Baptists and Jesuits?” Answer: “Baptists know they’re not Catholic.”
Some background is in order. In the 1960s, . . .

BOOK RECOMMENDATION

Tapson: ‘Unseen’ Terror
Coincidentally, a new thriller novel is now available that addresses the subversive Islamist threat that already exists in America – not a fictional one, but the very real and insidious presence here of the Muslim Brotherhood. Before turning to full-time writing, the book’s author, Jeffrey James Higgins, had a varied and extraordinary career in counterterrorism and international drug law enforcement, as you will read in our interview below. […] Unseen: Evil Lurks Among Us. In it, a rookie detective on the trail of a serial killer in Washington D.C. has his eyes opened about an even greater danger – Islamist infiltration in the nation’s capitol. I reached out to Higgins with a few questions about the book and his work.
