Even McCabe calls it “undeniable” that GOP members were the target. But he adds a bizarre note of obfuscation about the FBI not really knowing “what that shooter was up to,” or what his true objective was. This seems to align with the Bureau’s creepy and outrageous decision not to classify the horror as the politically-motivated attempted mass-assassination that it so clearly was, instead categorizing it as an instance of ‘suicide by cop.’ Under pressure, the FBI finally re-classified it as an act of domestic terror last month, years after the incident. The resulting report found that five masks were contaminated with bacteria, parasites, and fungi, including three with dangerous pathogenic and pneumonia-causing bacteria. No viruses were detected on the masks, although the test is capable of detecting viruses. The analysis detected the following 11 alarmingly dangerous pathogens on the masks: . . . Specifically, Pelosi had attempted to use a procedure called “suspension of the rules” — which requires a two-thirds supermajority of the House to succeed — to pass two highly controversial pieces of legislation. One, the LGBTQ Business Equal Credit Enforcement and Investment Act, would have allowed for LGBTQ-owned businesses to get favoritism in lending in much the same way minority-owned businesses may. The other, called the Equal Access to Contraception for Veterans Act, would have facilitated government-funded access to abortion drugs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). After an effort led by Biggs and other House conservatives like Reps. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) and Chip Roy (R-TX) among others, the bills failed to achieve the two-thirds necessary to make it through the House and were stopped from passing the chamber for now. […] According to the roll call of the votes on the House Clerk website, both votes failed. The LGBTQ bill failed after garnering 248 votes in favor with 177 opposed and five members not voting. The VA abortion bill failed by a wider margin, getting 240 votes in favor with 188 opposed and two members not voting. America needs to set aside sentimental concerns for an outdated alliance or Russia’s internal affairs and focus on our shared foreign policy interests with Russia—which include containing China. […] Biden’s one-on-one with Putin was more important because NATO and the American foreign policy establishment view Russia as a threat. The head of NATO said relations with Russia were the worst they have been since the Cold War. Even so, Putin described the meeting as “constructive” and business-like, and Biden agreed, saying it was “positive.” Biden has been especially critical of Russia, having earlier mocked Putin as having “no soul” and describing him as “a killer.” More than a matter of foreign policy, anti-Russia sentiment was also central to the Democrats’ criticism of Trump’s 2016 victory—what became the Russian collusion myth. Everyone in the smart set is anti-Russian these days. Good meeting or not, there is an anti-Russian consensus among the American foreign policy establishment that spans both parties. Yet the Biden team seems incapable of seeing any domestic terror threats on the political left. Their aim is directly at right-wing groups and causes, which unsurprisingly dovetails perfectly with their goal of remaking our whole country. And they’re not shy about saying so. From the strategy: That means tackling racism in America. It means protecting Americans from gun violence and mass murders. It means ensuring that we provide early intervention and appropriate care for those who pose a danger to themselves or others. It means ensuring that Americans receive the type of civics education that promotes tolerance and respect for all and investing in policies and programs that foster civic engagement and inspire a shared commitment to American democracy, all the while acknowledging when racism and bigotry have meant that the country fell short of living up to its founding principles. It reads like a press release from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, not a serious look at the dangers we face. But the left has never seen a “problem” that didn’t need a serious dose of more government control. So, in their usual mode of not letting a crisis go to waste, they are crying havoc and letting slip the dogs of state power. More strategy: . . .

The Federal Reserve has significantly increased its expectations for inflation this year following massive government spending from Democrat President Joe Biden. On Wednesday, The Federal Reserve “considerably raised its expectations for inflation this year and brought forward the time frame on when it will next raise interest rates,” CNBC reported. “However, the central bank gave no indication as to when it will begin cutting back on its aggressive bond-buying program, though Fed Chairman Jerome Powell acknowledged that officials discussed the issue at the meeting.” Officials said that increases in interest rates could come as soon as after the 2022 midterms in 2023. However, they previously said that interest rates would not increase until at least 2024.

Federal immigration officials in Arizona plan to place in a hotel migrant families who have illegally come across the U.S.-Mexico border as part of an effort to avoid openly releasing people onto the street, according to a border mayor. […] Yuma Mayor Doug Nicholls criticized the plan in a phone call Tuesday, saying he believes the plan to rely on a hotel “actually encourages” more people to make the journey to the U.S. and cross the border because migrants “know how they’re going to be released to an American hotel where they get room service and other — whatever’s going on.” […] This latest hotel that ICE is moving families into in Arizona is being funded by an $87 million contract that ICE gave to Family Endeavors in March. The contract was awarded without a competitive bidding process and was supposed to house 1,200 people across seven hotels in preselected cities in Arizona and Texas. Yuma was not on the list, and ICE has not shared why Family Endeavors is veering from its plan.
