NOTABLE QUOTES

President Trump on 12/24/20 tweeted: Twitter is going wild with their flags, trying hard to suppress even the truth. Just shows how dangerous they are, purposely stifling free speech. Very dangerous for our Country. Does Congress know that this is how Communism starts?

President Trump tweeted on 12/26/20: Our $740 billion defense bill is a gift to China, Russia & Big Tech. It fails to terminate the internationally dangerous Section 230, won’t allow us to bring our troops back home (where they belong), renames & destroys our forts & National Monuments, & makes 5G almost impossible!

President Trump tweeted on 12/24/20: I saved at least 8 Republican Senators, including Mitch, from losing in the last Rigged (for President) Election. Now they (almost all) sit back and watch me fight against a crooked and vicious foe, the Radical Left Democrats. I will NEVER FORGET!

Daniel Wattenberg managing editor of Just The News wrote: On Christmas Eve, a federal appeals court upheld a lower court ruling rejecting President Trump’s claim that the Wisconsin Elections Commission acted unconstitutionally in the guidance it provided on “missing or incorrect absentee ballot witness certificate addresses, voters claiming indefinitely confined status, and absentee ballot drop boxes.”

Joe Biden’s holiday message: Here is the simple truth: our darkest days in the battle against COVID are ahead of us, not behind us.

Rush Limbaugh responds to Boden’s dark holiday message: [I]f I were president-elect of the country, it’s the last thing I would say. Even if I believed it, I doubt that I would put it this way. But I don’t believe this anyway. Our darkest days are ahead of us? What a bleak way of looking at things. … We Americans have adapted to our problems. … Our freedom has allowed our adaptability. If disaster is coming our way, we don’t just sit there and endure it. We come up with ways to avoid it, to beat it back, to overcome it, but we don’t just sit there and accept it. And, as such, we don’t just resign ourselves to the fact that they’re living in the darkest days because we, at least to this point, still have the greatest degree of freedom of any people on earth. Now, it’s under assault and under attack and we all know this. But I don’t believe our darkest days are ahead of us. I never have. People have been asking, “You’ve always told us you’d tell us when it’s time to panic. Is it time?” It’s never time to panic, folks. It’s never, ever gonna be time to give up on our country. It will never be time to give up on the United States. It will never be time to give up on yourself. Trust me.

Eruc Utter contributor to American Thinker wrote: The U.S. has, simultaneously, come unmoored from its Judeo-Christian origins, eschewed its shared history and traditions, and lost its MoJo, its Johnson, its testosterone. (The latter may seem incongruous with the former, but it is not.) We have been so accommodating to everyone and everything but ourselves and our way of life that we have forgotten who we are. We do not want to offend those who wash up on our shores, so we subject ourselves to extremes of political correctness and identity politics, even as we give them money and a chance. In doing so, we have lost our shared identity, our cohesiveness, our religiosity… and our soul.

PRESIDENT TRUMP

Bawer: An Essential Man
In this climactic battle of our decades-long culture war, we need to win—or be prepared to lose in ways beyond imagining. Once upon a time, there was a president called Ronald Reagan—a model of decency and probity, at once great and self-effacing, who, above all, was truly in love with America and saw it as his sacred mission to preserve and strengthen American freedom. During his eight-year tenure, he revitalized the U.S. economy, snapped us out of what his disastrous predecessor had referred to as “our malaise,” and helped bring down the Soviet Union. Then he walked off into the sunset. And for the next seven presidential terms, we had to make do with mediocrity and self-dealing. Both parties were dominated by crime families—sorry, I mean political dynasties. The Bushes were uninspiring. The Clintons were pure slime. The 1960s had introduced a toxic counterculture rooted in reflexive oikophobia. It had grown apace ever since. The Bushes did nothing to resist it; Clinton himself was very much a part of it. In a famous speech at the 1992 Republican convention, Pat Buchanan warned that America was in a “culture war”—a “war for the soul of America.” He was right. But he identified the primary enemy as gays. In fact, the culture war had nothing to do with gays. It was about, among other things, . . . […] Meanwhile the real enemy within grew apace, all but unopposed. […] All seemed lost. Then Donald Trump came down that shiny escalator, introducing a campaign with a simple slogan: “America First.” At first his candidacy . . .

Powell: The American David
One of President Trump’s most prescient statements to the American electorate leading up to the November vote was, “They’re not after me, they’re after you, I’m just in the way.” The question that everyone should want to fully grasp now is, who is the “they” that Trump has repeatedly referred to, and what do they want to do to you and to America? This “they” goes beyond the Democrat Party and Joe Biden. Biden is not only a weak political leader, but many are just now learning for the first time after the election, because of pre-election media censorship, that Biden family corruption ranks up there with the Clinton family crime syndicate. A recent poll by McLaughlin & Associates now shows that 4.6% of the Joe Biden’s supporters would have voted differently had they known about Biden family corruption. The media ignored and censored two separate Senate committee reports in September, documenting the details of large payments from numerous foreign government-related entities to Hunter Biden and holding companies under his control, with most fund transfers coming from relationships that originated while Pops Joe served as vice president in the Obama administration. What this says about the power brokers behind Biden who knew everything about him is that they prefer a weak and compromised leader, who is easier to control and influence so as to assure that their interests and goals are carried out. They own Joe Biden. […] Should this presidential election stand, we should expect more attempted rule by Saul Alinsky’s “ends justify the means” Rules for Radicals and Marxist-Leninist playbooks of class conflict and the vanguard’s use of false flag causes and front groups.

LIBERTY OR TYRANNY: THE DECISION IS OURS

Founding Father Samuel Adams: For true patriots to be silent, is dangerous.
Founding Father and second president of the United States John Adams: But a constitution of government once changed from freedom can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.
George Orwell, 1984 author wrote: We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it.

Millions of Americans may come to resemble Winston Smith, the defeated hero of Nineteen Eighty-Four, who at last accepts the calm…..

Kimball: Constant’s Liberty, Ancient and Modern
s this most peculiar year wends its petulant and morose way to the end, I find myself returning to some signal apostles of liberty. The unrelenting static of our time can make it difficult to appreciate what those sages of yore had to say. But as we continue to quiver obediently in place, bemasked, shunning our fellows almost as assiduously as we shun common sense, I think back to some anatomists of the totalitarian impulse—George Orwell, for example, who would have been surprised to discover that his searing portrayals of tyranny have been adopted as how-to manuals by the new lobotomized Left whose maliciousness is exceeded only by its ignorance. I think, too, of the Swiss-born French writer Benjamin Constant, whose famous essay “The Liberty of Ancients Compared with that of Moderns” (1819) is as pertinent to our concerns today as it was in the immediate post-Napoleonic era in which Constant wrote. […] He begins by elaborating the distinction named in his title, between liberty as understood by the ancients and liberty as understood by us moderns. In brief, ancient liberty was freedom to superintend the political process. Ancient liberty, he said, “consisted in exercising collectively, but directly, several parts of the complete sovereignty; in deliberating, in the public square, over war and peace; in forming alliances with foreign governments; in voting laws, in pronouncing judgments; in examining the accounts, the acts, the stewardship of the magistrates; in calling them to appear in front of the assembled people, in accusing, condemning or absolving them. But if this was what the ancients called liberty, they admitted as compatible with this collective freedom the complete subjection of the individual to the authority of the community.” In contrast, modern liberty eschews, or at least abandons, direct involvement in the political process for the sake of a more or less inviolate sphere of individual discretion. For us moderns, Constant wrote, . . . That seems pretty clear, even uncontroversial. But Constant has more to say.

Populist Press; Tucker Carlson, Third Positionism, and the Albatross of Fascism
If you’ve been paying attention to prime time cable news, which I would not blame you if you haven’t, you’d notice Tucker Carlson dominates the evening. Perhaps many of you still think of a young Carlson with a squirrely bowtie on CNN debating James Carville. However, the Tucker Carlson that broadcasts weeknightly these days is nothing like that young geeky kid. Carlson is a firebrand now. He has been quietly advocating for what seems to amount to American Third Positionism. This is edgy territory for a prime time cable news host. Third Positionism, which is a mixture of populist social conservativism and nationalist economic policies, has long been used by hardcore ethnic fascist parties throughout history. Carlson recognizes this and is careful about the way in which he approaches the topic. Third Positionism does not have to include racism and xenophobia. But it so often slides into it. With all the chatter of Carlson entering the political arena, he must navigate the waters of populism and the Third Position carefully. Lest he give his political opponets all the ammunition they would ever need to bury him in an election. The Third Position is a political movement born out of the turmoil of 20th century Europe. It was presented as a middle ground between Western bloc capitalism and democracy and Eastern bloc communism and authoritarianism. It both borrows from both while being highly critical of both. Tucker has been walking this line for some time now.

DiPuccio: How Progressives Are Dismantling America’s Foundation
Undergirding the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution is a set of philosophical principles that are under assault by Progressives. These founding principles, derived mostly from the Federalist Papers, provide the lens through which we read and understand the Constitution. Without this lens, the meaning of the Constitution and American law becomes putty in the hands of every special interest group. Progressivism seeks to replace the founding principles with a new set of doctrines based on the tenets of social justice — a system which elevate the rights of “protected classes” (non-whites, LGBTQ, women, etc.) by subordinating the rest of society. This so-called “just society” is not the kinder, gentler America that Progressives promise, but a dystopia where the rights of the many are trampled, dissenters are punished, and government has nearly unlimited power and scope. The examples that follow are selected from my recent eBook, The War on America’s Founding Principles: How Progressives Are Dismantling America One Plank at a Time. Inalienable Rights. The assault on America’s Founding Principles begins by dismantling the inalienable rights upon which our nation is built. An attack on these rights, which are endowed by God rather than the state, is an attack on our entire constitutional system. The first inalienable right, according to the Declaration of Independence, is . . .

FIGHTING FOR ELECTION INTEGRITY

Rep.-Elect Boebert Joins House Members Who Will Object to Electors on Jan. 6
Congresswoman-elect Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) made an official announcement on Thursday that on behalf of her constituents she will object to Electoral College results in the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress. “Guided by the US Constitution and my responsibility to my constituents, I will object to the Electoral College results on January 6th,” wrote Boebert in a Twitter post. Boebert was criticized for the post by a news analyst and writer who accused the freshman congresswoman of “bombastic symbolic acts” to further her congressional career. Boebert responded, “Newsflash: I’m not here to make a career for myself. I’m here to save our country from socialists.” The newly elected Colorado lawmaker has also been an outspoken supporter of the Second Amendment.

(12/22) Neff: Arrests Possible – Senate Requests Contempt Order Against Maricopa County Supervisors
A judge will hear arguments Wednesday afternoon on why a State Senate committee wants a court order to hold Maricopa County officials in contempt, given that the legislature has had the same power for nearly 100 years. Judge Randall Warner of the Maricopa County Superior Court was asked Monday by Senate President Karen Fann and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Eddie Farnsworth to order Maricopa County’s Board of Supervisors to “comply in full” with two legislative subpoenas related to the 2020 General Election. County officials announced last week they would not meet a Friday deadline set forth in the subpoenas. The Fann-Farnsworth special action complaint was filed one business day after Maricopa County officials asked another superior court judge to quash the legislative subpoenas for being unlawful. The complaint seeks expediated handling of the case as Congress meets Jan. 6 to certify the U.S. Electoral College votes.

WUHAN FLU: IT’S POLITICAL

Prager: The Sovietization of California
There is no question that America is becoming, if it hasn’t already become, two countries. I am writing this column upon returning home to California after five days in Florida. For the first time since my first trip to Los Angeles in 1974 and moving there two years later, I dreaded going to California. […] Yet, here I am, sitting in a state where corruption reigns (one of the leading Democrats of the last half-century told me years ago that politicians in California are window dressing; the real power in California is wielded by unions) and where, for nine months, normal life has been shut down, schools have been closed and small businesses have been destroyed in unprecedented numbers. During these last five days in Florida, a state governed by the pro-freedom party, I went anywhere I wanted. First and foremost, I could eat both inside and outside restaurants. At one of them, when I stood up to take photos of people dining, a patron who recognized me walked over and said, “I assume you’re just taking pictures of people eating in a restaurant.” That’s exactly what I was doing. I even took my two grandchildren to a bowling alley, which was filled with people enjoying themselves playing myriad arcade games as well as bowling.
None of that is allowed almost anywhere in California. It is becoming a police state, rooted in deception and irrationality.

(Arizona) ADI Staff: Maricopa County Health Official Admits Manipulating COVID-19 Deaths
Conspiracy theories have spread across social media since COVID-19 hit America that doctors, hospital and nursing home administrators, and medical examiners are adding COVID-19 as the primary cause or a contributing factor on death certificates based solely on a positive test result. But while Dr. Greg Hess of the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner insists that’s not the case in his county, at least one public health official revealed earlier this month that some bureaucrats appear to be cooking the COVID-19 books in Maricopa County.

CHINA: AMERICA’S MORTAL ENEMY

Winters: ‘Gone For Good’: Chinese State Media Chief Threatens Pompeo With Same Fate As Persecuted Uyghurs
Chen Weihua, China Daily’s European Bureau Chief, threatened U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo with the same fate of groups persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party, promising he “surely won’t be spared.” Chen functions as a mouthpiece for the Chinese Communist Party, as China Daily is owned and operated by the regime’s own Publicity Department. […] Chen insisting Pompeo be treated akin to China’s Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, and Falun Gong devotees constitutes a severe threat, as the regime has persecuted members all of the aforementioned groups.

Cochran: CHINA’S “Three Warfares”: Influence Operations and the People’s Liberation Army
The People’s Republic of China is engaged in a long-term, wide-ranging strategic competition with the United States and its allies. The 2018 National Defense Strategy of the United States characterized China as a “revisionist power” that seeks to “shape a world consistent with [its] authoritarian model – gaining veto authority over other nations’ economic, diplomatic, and security decisions.” While China’s near-term goal is to achieve regional hegemony in the Indo-Pacific region, its long-term goal is “displacement of the United States to achieve global preeminence in the future.” China, the Strategy noted, pursues a comprehensive all – of – nation strategy to assert power through a combination of military modernization initiatives, predatory and coercive economic measures, and influence operations. Influence connotes an attempt to . . .

Schaeffer: Arizona Gov. Ducey to China: ‘Lots of opportunities’ to exploit ‘our defense industry, mining and ores’
The video is shocking. As Americans only begin to wake up to the reality of just how severely compromised their political leaders are by a communist superpower, Arizona Republican Gov. Doug Ducey’s alarmingly frank language resounds like thunderclaps. “We just had a great meeting with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce just now. And, very exciting, lots of opportunities, including public-private partnerships. I’ve mentioned semiconducters, electronics, aerospace, our defense industry, mining and ores that we do…. So I think from the franchise business to the aerospace and defense business, we would like to do more business with China, with Chinese business people.” That is Ducey speaking directly to the Chinese state-run media organ China Daily in July 2017. There is no nice way to spin this. An American governor is captured on video offering up this country’s sensitive military technology and natural resources to a communist foreign nation. China Daily posted the astonishing interview clip onto YouTube titled “Arizona Governor Discusses Chinese Investments.” The interview was conducted at a China General Chamber of Commerce Welcome Luncheon Forum held during the 2017 National Governors Association meetings in Providence, Rhode Island. […] Yes, Ducey is keen on selling our nation’s precious water resources to the thirsty Asian giant as well. The more one kicks over this rock, the worse it gets. In 2015 […] AVIC is controlled by the communist Chinese military. And with very good reason. Bloomberg reports: . . . […] Now we know why Doug Ducey certified fraud-riddled voting results in his state. Now we can see why he was biting at the chomp to play his part in illegitimately installing China’s “Old Friend” Joe Biden in the White House. Are his fellow Republicans horrified by his actions? Far from it. Ducey has just been named . . .
