Missouri case, in which we are challenging the federal government’s alleged censorship on social media. The Supreme Court will likely rule in June whether to uphold, modify, or strike down the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals’ injunction against five federal agencies, in what, the district court judge wrote, “arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history.” At the hearing, Justice Samuel Alito pointed out that emails between the White House and Facebook “showed constant pestering of Facebook.” He went on to comment, “I cannot imagine federal officials taking this approach to the print media. […] It’s treating these platforms like subordinates.” He then asked the government’s attorney, “Would you treat The New York Times or The Wall Street Journal this way? Do you think the print media considers themselves ‘partners’ with government? I can’t imagine the federal government doing that to them.”

These arguments for reducing or eliminating physician oversight of chemical abortions are based on four premises. First, abortion is a human right that advances the equality, wellbeing, and self-determination of women. Second, the risks of mifepristone/misoprostol abortions are negligible. Third, self-managed abortions are an effective means by which women can control their reproductive lives and achieve their goals. Fourth, physician oversight is unnecessary and counterproductive. If these four premises are true, they present a strong basis for allowing the purchase of mifepristone/misoprostol as an over-the-counter drug. In the discussion which follows, we will show that the four premises above are, in fact, contradicted by real world experience and the best available medical evidence. The first premise is ideological and not supported by data. As a counterargument, we will show that that chemical abortion is often used contrary to women’s self-determination and best interests. The first case is from Montana, where in 1991, the 52nd legislature enacted and codified House Bill 424 (originally House Joint Resolution 28) as Montana § 2-15-108, MCA. The law aimed to “take positive action to attain gender balance and proportional representation of minorities” in state boards, commissions, committees, and councils. The alleged cause of the imbalance was “bias.” In September 2023, two vacancies opened for the 12-member Board of Medical Examiners, but the governor has been unable to make appointments since the appointments must adhere to DEI. Do No Harm, an organization representing physicians and healthcare workers countering DEI in medicine, has filed a suit in U.S. District Court for the District of Montana (Helena Division), saying Montana § 2-15-108 violates the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The DNH lawsuit says one of its members (identified as Member A) has 31 years’ practice as a dermatologist, is qualified for the post, and is willing to serve — but gender and race mandates stand in the way of her appointment. During the ceremonies there was a dancing procession of Pachamama where people prostrated themselves before the two wooden statues that represented naked and pregnant women and a statue of a male phallic figure reclining on his back. Binder: New York City Council Begs Court to Authorize Voting Rights for 800,000 Foreign Nationals

In January 2022, Democrats on the 51-member New York City Council approved an ordinance to give more than 800,000 foreign nationals with green cards, visas, and work permits the opportunity to vote in citywide elections so long as they have resided in the city for at least 30 consecutive days. Following lawsuits over the ordinance, the New York Supreme Court in June 2022 ruled that giving local voting rights to foreign nationals violated the state’s constitution, which explicitly reserves voting for American “citizens.” In February, that ruling was upheld by the New York Appellate Division. On Tuesday, New York City Council spokesperson Rendy Desamour announced that council members are pleading with the Appellate Division for the Second Judicial Department of the Supreme Court of the State of New York to override both rulings and allow the council to start implementing the ordinance.
