Jean Carroll wrote her bizarre story in New York Magazine in June 2019. Carroll said she kept the dress in her closet after the alleged assault. She says she never wore it again and that “I have never had sex with anybody ever again.” But there was one big problem with this woman’s story. The Donna Karan jacket dress was not even made or sold in 1994. […] Carroll subsequently changed her story, suggesting the attack may have occurred in 1995 or 1996. This is not the first time Carroll lied about the case. It is also clear that Carroll lied about who was funding her lawsuit. E. Jean Carroll originally said no one was funding her lawsuit against Trump. Later, her attorney admitted that billionaire Never-Trumper Reid Hoffman was funding Carroll’s lawsuit.

The Epoch Times: Legal Group Alleges DOJ Official Had Improper Role in Trump Mar-a-Lago Raid

America First Legal (AFL), an organization founded by former senior White House adviser Stephen Miller, filed a complaint on Thursday with the DOJ’s Office of Professional Responsibility, alleging improper bias on the part of Associate Deputy Attorney General Austin Evers. The complaint states Mr. Evers was a political appointee at the U.S. State Department during President Barack Obama’s administration. After the Obama administration, he went on to work as the executive director of American Oversight, a nonprofit organization that repeatedly investigated the Trump administration and other conservative figures over alleged abuses of power. Mr. Evers returned to government work in 2022 after the start of the Biden administration and was appointed as an associate deputy attorney general in July of 2022, days before the Mar-a-Lago raid.

Brown: The Supreme Court Just Took a Side in the Biden Border Crisis

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined the liberal wing constituted by Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson to grant the Biden administration’s appeal. As Fox News Channel’s Bill Melugin noted on X following the Supreme Court’s ruling, this is “potentially setting up a significant state vs federal showdown.” That’s because most of the razor wire installed by state officials in Texas lies in Eagle Pass’ Shelby Park which was seized by Texas as it fights to secure the border amid Biden’s failures. Texas booted federal agents from the park, but the SCOTUS order means Border Patrol needs access to the park to cut the razor wire.

Loudermilk said in his letter to Thompson that the Mississippi Democrat acknowledged over the summer that the select committee “did not archive all Committee records as required by House Rules” and had “sent specific transcribed interviews and depositions to the White House and Department of Homeland Security but did not archive them with the Clerk of the House.” […] One recovered file detailed an individual whose testimony was not archived, but “most of the recovered files are password-protected, preventing us from determining what they contain,” Loudermilk also said. Huff: Why did Congress help craft a bill last summer called the “Disease X Act” – do they know another bioweapon is about to be released?

Some devised even more authoritarian solutions for the “problems” that humanity faces. Gates, for his part, said he was working on vaccine patches so that uptake for shoddy pharmaceuticals will be even higher next time around.

To the WEF crowd, “Rebuilding Trust” often meant doing a better job to silence people by filtering out what they deemed “misinformation” and “disinformation.” In short, the problem isn’t them, it’s the people who are in the way. The most telling example of this change is Taiwan. The conditions that Taiwan faced in previous periods of crisis with the mainland are not what it faces today. There are two major changes to these conditions that have dramatically altered the status quo, to which leaders in Taipei and Washington had falsely believed Beijing would adhere. First, the growth and capability of the PRC’s conventional and nuclear military that threatens Taiwan, U.S. allies Australia, Japan, the Philippines, and South Korea, and the U.S. military, territories like Guam, and the American homeland. Second, a relatively weaker U.S. deterrent due to decades-long reductions in conventional capabilities and nuclear force structure and infrastructure is not what is needed to deter two major nuclear powers, the PRC and Russia.

Johnstone: Biden Has Started Another US War

“The Biden administration is crafting plans for a sustained military campaign targeting the Houthis in Yemen after 10 days of strikes failed to halt the group’s attacks on maritime commerce, stoking concern among some officials that an open-ended operation could derail the war-ravaged country’s fragile peace and pull Washington into another unpredictable Middle Eastern conflict,” the Post reports. The Post acknowledges that “sustained military campaign” means “war” in the ninth paragraph of the article, saying the anonymous US officials cited in the report “don’t expect that the operation will stretch on for years like previous U.S. wars in Iraq, Afghanistan or Syria.” Which is about as reassuring as a pyromaniac saying he doesn’t expect he’ll be burning down any more houses like all those other houses he’s burned down. This bizarre refusal to just call a war a war also appeared in a recent press conference with Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh, who acted shocked and aghast that reporters would even ask if repeatedly bombing a country would qualify as being at war with them.

King: VA ripped for helping pay migrant treatment as over 400K veterans, their families wait

The Department of Veterans Affairs is facing blowback for helping pay out millions of dollars to medical providers who treat illegal immigrants while they are in federal custody — while a backlog of hundreds of thousands of claims from veterans has grown. The VA’s Austin, Texas-based Financial Services Center (FSC) has been contracted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since 2002 to process reimbursement claims by providers who offer services to detained migrants. In fiscal year 2022, which ended Sept. 30 of that year, FSC processed 161,538 such claims, with the ICE Health Services Corps (IHSC) paying out an average of $584 — a total of $94.3 million in taxpayer money, according to a July 2023 Department of Homeland Security report on “Healthcare Costs for Noncitizens in Detention.”

Her warnings went up the hierarchy, only to be met with the response, “You are imagining it.” A senior IDF officer scorned such warnings as “fantasies” and refused to act on them. Testing a person’s blood for a type of protein called phosphorylated tau, or p-tau, could be used to screen for Alzheimer’s disease with “high accuracy,” even before symptoms begin to show, a new study suggests. The study involved testing blood for a key biomarker of Alzheimer’s called p-tau217, which increases at the same time as other damaging proteins — beta amyloid and tau — build up in the brains of people with the disease. Currently, to identify the buildup of beta amyloid and tau in the brain, patients undergo a brain scan or spinal tap, which often can be inaccessible and costly. But this simple blood test was found to be up to 96% accurate in identifying elevated levels of beta amyloid and up to 97% accurate in identifying tau, according to the study published Monday in the journal JAMA Neurology. “What was impressive with these results is that the blood test was just as accurate as advanced testing like cerebrospinal fluid tests and brain scans at showing Alzheimer’s disease pathology in the brain,” Nicholas Ashton, a professor of neurochemistry at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and one of the study’s lead authors, said in an email.
