In that petition, Clement asked the entire 11th Circuit to reconsider the earlier decision by a three-judge panel holding that Meadows could not remove to federal court the criminal case Willis launched against him last year. Clement’s strong reputation signals that should the 11th Circuit deny rehearing — or grant rehearing and again hold that Meadows cannot remove the case under federal statute — Meadows’ legal team is prepared to seek review by the U.S. Supreme Court. Having Clement on the Supreme Court’s petition for review will add an invaluable gravitas to the case.

Gonzalo Lira, an American citizen and global reporter, died this week in a Kharkov prison eight months after he was arrested for the crime of speaking the truth about what was happening in Ukraine. Under Secretary of State Vickie Nuland, despised Gonzalo, as did Zelensky. People from around the world, who had been informed by Gonzalo’s reports, interviews and articles asked their governments to assist. None apparently did, and most certainly his own government – the one led by Dark Brandon and the Democrats and the war-loving, truth-hating Republicans – did absolutely nothing. Well, that’s not entirely true. The US government downplayed the arrest and the conditions, and denied that Lira was a journalist (along the lines of similar denials relating to Julian Assange). The progressive liberal Daily Beast did several attack pieces on Gonzalo before and after his detention. Oh, and he was a smoker too. Just as the Australian government has been of no help to their cruelly and wrongly imprisoned citizen Julian Assange, our own government was of zero assistance to Gonzalo Lira. He was isolated from and received no attention or advocacy by the many US State Department officers in Ukraine. Perhaps they were too busy handing out US taxpayer cash and paychecks to the Ukrainian government and Zelensky’s cronies. We may never know the truth. What we do know, and may learn from Gonzalo’s death at the hands of the Joe Biden administration and their puppet dictator in Kiev, is that rule of law and the duties of the state to its citizens that one might presume from a casual reading of the US Constitution, is dead, dry, decayed, decrepit, and damned to hell.

What a platform Democrats will have for 2024:

Make unrestricted abortion the law of the land (Make Abortion Great Again!)
Pack the court
Eliminate the Electoral College
Eliminate the filibuster
Statehood for the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico
Work towards the elimination of fossil fuels… and gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment
Provide more money for teachers’ unions
Provide more money for mainstream media outlets
Progress towards making “15-minute cities” a reality across the United States
Significantly raise taxes on ammunition so as to make it unaffordable for all but wealthy Democrat donors… thereby rendering guns—and the First Amendment—moot.
Make mail-in voting a permanent fixture in every state for every election
Lower the voting age to 16

All of this in the name of “saving our democracy,” of course.

I’m talking about the actual atomic/molecular structures and processes of chemistry because those are totally different now if you’re black. At least, that’s according to one young chemistry professor at Rice University who is teaching a new class beginning this semester called Afrochemistry, “the study of black-life matter.” […] In Chem 125, Johnson will instruct her undergrads — who are expected to pony up around $78,278 for the privilege of attending during the 2022-23 academic year — on how to “apply chemical tools and analysis to understand black life in the US,” along with her “personal reflections and proposals for addressing inequities in chemistry and chemical education.” In other words, Tom Lehrer can teach you more about chemistry for free in 85 seconds than Professor Johnson can for thousands of dollars over an entire semester.

It is now almost exclusively used to mean “benefits that the oppressor class appropriates for itself and denies to the oppressed.” White people are deemed to be “privileged” in all ways at the expense of minorities. Straight people are privileged at the expense of the supposedly marginalized Alphabet People. Privilege is theft now. It is oppression. Ironically, arguably no one in America today is more privileged than the con artists of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) juggernaut, whose apparent mission is to correct such social injustices.

Berrien: Anti-Israel Mob Targets Pediatric Cancer Hospital In NYC

On Monday, anti-Israel activists led their crowd to demonstrate in front of one of the most famous cancer centers in the world, the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. The hospital was founded in 1884 as New York Cancer Hospital, the first cancer hospital in the United States. It also contains one of America’s top pediatric hospitals for cancer care, as well as over 120 research laboratories that focus on fighting the disease. In March 2023, the Center became the first in the nation to receive the American College of Surgeons’ Level I Specialty Children’s Center in Oncology designation.

Activist Mohammed El-Kurd earned cheers and applause from a crowd of thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters in London on Saturday, when he called to “normalize massacres as the status quo” during a speech condemning Israel and Zionism. Though London police have acted aggressively against so-called “hate speech” that falls outside the Left’s ideology, the late response from the U.K.’s Metropolitan Police, which included a plan to “speak” to El-Kurd, earned much criticism.
