Fleetwood: Lawsuit: David Weiss, DOJ Are Withholding Records On Hunter Biden’s Alleged Sex-Trafficking Crimes

The Heritage Foundation filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Special Counsel David Weiss on Monday after the latter refused to forfeit records related to Hunter Biden’s alleged sex-trafficking crimes. Filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, the suit asked the court to order the DOJ and Weiss’s office to comply with a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by Heritage earlier this year that sought to obtain documents regarding authorities’ investigation into whether Hunter Biden violated the Mann Act. That law outlaws the transport of “any woman or girl for the purpose of prostitution or debauchery, or for any other immoral purpose.” Communications between high-ranking DOJ officials, provided to the House Ways and Means Committee by IRS whistleblowers and released to the public in September, indicated nine probable cases in which the younger Biden “communicat[ed] with prostitutes and coordinat[ed] their travel across state lines,” actions that would violate the Mann Act. Two alleged incidents flagged by Justice Department Tax Division prosecutor Jack Morgan in an email to Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf, for example, involved two “likely” escorts who “traveled from Los Angeles and New York to meet with Hunter in Boston.”

There is as usual no evidence to support this claim, but that doesn’t matter to climate whackos; they just make up data and research and they always have fake models to fall back on. One of the most unfortunate and inconvenient facts for the hysterics is that Antarctic ice extent and mass are quite variable and while there has been a minor average ice loss over recent decades, there are years of gain and years of loss, also known as natural variability. This article discusses the amount of ice mass gain in the 2021-22 winter and attributes it to unusual amounts of precipitation, i.e. snow. (Ant. Study) There is no reason to think that the fluctuations have anything to do with increases in atmospheric CO2. And here are some actual numbers. Antarctic ice mass is estimated at over 24 million giga-tons. The supposed average annual loss over the last two decades was about 150 gigatons (a reader alertly pointed out that I wrote the tons number wrong, it was much smaller). Most of that supposed loss was occurring in West Antarctica, on the peninsula, while East and Central Antartica are gaining mass.

State Reps. Amy Walen and Liz Berry authored a bill to be considered in their state’s upcoming legislative session that would ban “gasoline-powered and diesel-powered landscaping and other outdoor power equipment,” a group that includes common lawn care tools like lawn mowers, weed whackers, pressure washers and snow blowers, among others. Violating the new law would be punishable “by a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for up to three hundred sixty-four days, or by both for each separate violation.” The authors of the bill justified their proposed ban by arguing that outdoor power equipment is “contributing to climate change and negatively impacting public health.”

Notably, the memo gave prosecutor offices a hard deadline and required a report back to Washington after the meeting took place, including a requirement to identify the specific local law enforcement agencies that participated. The Oct. 20, 2021 memo, provided to Just the News by the watchdog group Protect the Public’s Trust, was obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.

Pushback against antisemitic mobs at U.S. universities is often countered with cries of “It’s free speech!” But the sudden converts to the cause of free speech, like the presidents of Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, and MIT, who testified before Congress last week about not being able to define calls for genocide of Jews as actionable due to First Amendment concerns, are not engaging in good-faith debate. Having been part of several free speech-focused campus organizations at UC Berkeley, I know the law is clear: The right to free speech does not extend to threats and inciting violence. Harassment, death threats, and exclusion based on religion are not permitted in educational settings as a civil rights issue. Title IX and Title IV protect the rights of students to participate in campus activities without fear of aggression or harassment. The discussion around free speech by campus presidents is misleading because the issue is not the law itself. Rather, college administrators have been weaponizing the First Amendment when it suits them, and blatantly disregarding it when it doesn’t.

he Supreme Court on Wednesday said it will hear a case on whether to restrict access to the common abortion drug mifepristone, even in states where abortion is still legal, in the first major abortion cases since the justices overturned the right to abortion more than a year ago. Mifepristone, when used in conjunction with another drug, is one of the most common abortion methods in the U.S., and it is still available without restrictions. The drug has been subject to an ongoing legal battle involving its original approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2000. The justices discussed the case at their Friday conference, The New York Times reported.

The latter category refers to men and women who are foreign nationals but come to the United States to hire an American surrogate to bear their child(ren). The rent-a-womb industry is disproportionately fueled by Chinese nationals (13.4 percent), followed by France (2.9 percent). Of these foreign nationals, which come mainly from China, many are men over the age of 42 (33.9 percent compared to 26.2 percent of domestic intended parents). Are we fighting in Ukraine in order to “queer the Donbass”? In the meantime, the European Court of Human Rights ruled in June 2023 that two Ukrainian men seeking a marriage license had been illegally discriminated against and, as a signatory to the European human rights convention, Ukraine must pass a law that grants them equal treatment.

Argentina’s new government says it will weaken the value of its currency by more than 50% against the US dollar. It is part of the “economic shock therapy” that President Javier Milei says the country needs to fix its worst crisis in decades. Economy Minister Luis Caputo also announced deep cuts to public spending.
