Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas honored Avideh Moussavian, chief of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service’s (USCIS) Office of Policy & Strategy, and her team for expanding legal processes for migrants to enter the U.S., the agency said in a statement Wednesday. Moussavian tweeted in 2018, before she began her tenure with the Biden administration, the hashtag “abolishICE,” saying the agency was “misleading the public and making our workplaces less safe.”

[…] If ICE can threaten to expel a family of German Christians who moved to the U.S. fifteen years ago because Germany forbids homeschooling, certainly something can be done to protect our toddlers from people who teach their toddlers to hate non-believers and to idolize jihadists. […] Think of it. Is it all that far a psychological journey from participating in celebrations of terrorist butchery to carrying out terrorist butchery? Why is it so hard for so many Americans to recognize the very real possibility that this month’s terror in Israel could be next month’s terror in America? Will Americans refuse to act on this issue until, one fine weekend morning, a few dozen middle-class families in, say, Grosse Pointe, Michigan, are getting ready for breakfast when armed men from Hamtramck burst into their homes and proceed to shoot, rape, burn, dismember, and defile the parents and their precious children? Do Americans really want to wake up to that nightmare? And don’t neglect this point: . . .

I was hoping against hope that Joe Biden would totally and irrevocably expose the evil of radical Islam in speaking of the dastardly Hamas attacks. But once he asserted that “we must also, without equivocation, denounce Islamophobia” in bis October 2020 speech to the nation, it was patently clear that he had fallen into the clutches of those who would demand utter capitulation to Islamists and thus destroy free speech, and independent thinking. Islamists would assert that “Islamophobia is “an allegedly irrational fear of losing life or liberty to Islamic rule merely because the laws, sacred texts, and traditional practices of Islam demand the submission of culture, politics, religion and social expression. But, in the real world, it is a product of rational observation.” After all “[a]n ideology that has as its stated goal to put the entire world under its eternal rule, by force if necessary, and to kill those who stand in its way, criticize it or leave it, is genuinely dangerous. Having some healthy doses of fear and skepticism of such a force is perfectly rational.” […] Sadly, “[i]t appears that the inventors and purveyors of ‘Islamophobia’ have succeeded beyond their dreams in silencing criticism of Islam. In fact, those who would criticize Islam include such Islamophobes as . . . […] Consequently,, it truly isn’t Islamophobia when they really are trying to kill you. Why didn’t Biden just recite Hamas’ beliefs in their own words?

Kinnett: Jewish Students at NYC College Cornered by Pro-Hamas Protesters, Told to Hide in Attic

Jewish students at Cooper Union, a private New York City college, were locked inside a library Wednesday as pro-Palestine and pro-Hamas protesters beat their fists on the doors, screamed, and tried to gain entry. New York police, however, told The Daily Signal that officers didn’t intervene because “no threats of physical violence were made.” […] Vernikov said Cooper Union faculty members not only canceled class to accommodate a walkout for the protest, but “encouraged students to participate and even offered extra credit” for participating. She also noted that faculty members joined the protest.

The Daily Signal sought comment from Cooper Union, including information on which classes were canceled and which faculty members encouraged students to participate. College officials didn’t respond by publication time. The Jewish students barricaded in the Cooper Union library were evacuated through tunnels Wednesday evening, while the university and police left the protesters alone, Vernikov and others said.

Costescu: Meet the Student Leader of the Group Behind the Viral Anti-Semitic Incident at George Washington University

The president of the student group that projected pro-Hamas and anti-Semitic messages onto a George Washington University library gave a speech in May glorifying Palestinian terrorist “martyrs” for making the “ultimate sacrifice” and called for violent “resistance” against Israelis, according to a video of the event.

Lance Lokas—a junior at the Washington, D.C., university—as of February served as president of the school’s Students for Justice in Palestine chapter, which took credit for the Tuesday evening library stunt. Lokas made his “martyr” speech during a May “Nakba Day” rally held near the Washington Monument. Lokas during his speech glorified Palestinian “martyrs,” calling their “ultimate sacrifice” a “compass guiding our work towards liberation,” a video obtained by the Middle East Media Research Institute shows. Lokas also defended Palestinian “resistance” in “all its forms” and criticized those who condemn terrorism against Israel. […] Following the Tuesday library demonstration, some congressional Republicans argued that George Washington University should expel the perpetrators. Utah senator Mike Lee, for example, said the students responsible for the display should be “severely punished.”

“These are genocidal messages displayed on a building at George Washington University,” Lee said. “Genocide isn’t hip, cute, or in any way acceptable. GWU—do the right thing NOW!”

Not even the off-the-charts uptick in antisemitic incidents in Germany (240 percent), the United States (nearly 400 percent), and London (1,353 percent) convinced me. It was, rather, one of those realizations that so many generations of Jews before me have experienced. A realization that they, like me, surely tried to push out of their minds until the reality became unmistakeable. This war is not simply between Hamas terrorists and Israelis. It is a war against the Jews.

Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger explained in an interview recently that Europe had made a serious mistake by creating within itself, through mass immigration, populations that reject all its norms, values and a “constitutional basis”.

Video from Tuesday night shows dozens of people crowded outside Kelly High School unable to get inside with many taking up a chant of ‘open the doors’. Meanwhile inside the meeting quickly grew heated with some residents opposing the city’s plan to turn a site in the Southwest Side neighborhood into a tent shelter for asylum seekers. Cheers and boos erupted from the crowd, while outside, residents who had not been allowed in pounded on the doors.
