NOTABLE QUOTES
George Washington Founding Father and first U.S. president: Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself.
Adolph Hitler German dictator and mass murderer: The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow subjugated races possess arms.
President Joe Biden, on 4/7/2021 called on DOJ to establish framework for “red flag laws” and then said: But no amendment to the Constitution is absolute.
Jen Psaki WH Press Secretary: Today, the administration announced initial actions to address gun violence. There will be more. That is absolutely his commitment, and he also will use the power of his presidency, his voice, his political will to advocate for actions in Congress.
Tucker Carlson Fox News host: Anyone who tries to restrict your legally owned firearms is not trying to make America safer. The point is to disarm you and strip you of your autonomy, your power, your right to self-defense. Gun control is not about guns. Gun control is about who controls America. Is it the population, as in a democracy, or does all control go to a small group of authoritarians, as in an oligarchy? Those are the stakes in the gun control debate. It’s not about guns, it’s about who runs the country.
Steve Feinstein contributor to American Thinker: The essential difference between the woke revolution and a legitimate revolution such as the American War for Independence is this: The Woke-ists are risking nothing. They have no skin in the game. Being woke is risk-free. It’s easy. Too easy.
Rev. Franklin Graham: If we’re not careful, the coronavirus pandemic could turn the entire world into a police state. I’m not saying we should break the law, but I’m saying that we must be careful to defend our rights and our freedoms—or we will lose them. We have seen this happen throughout history.
Brian Dease Biden’s National Economic Council Director on Fox News Sunday: I think we really need to update what we mean by infrastructure for the 21st century,
Sen. Kristen Gillibrand (D-NY) tweeted on 4/7/2021: Paid leave is infrastructure. Child care is infrastructure. Caregiving is infrastructure.
Jen Psaki WH press secretary, on Tuesday: The country has been shut down in one form or another for more than a year now and people have missed birthday parties, weddings, baseball games, going out to restaurants. It is difficult, it is hard, and what he’s asking people to do is to sacrifice a little bit longer, and he will continue to make that case and make that argument.
PRESIDENT TRUMP
Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America
Stephen Miller is a fearless, principled fighter for the America First movement. He has backbone, integrity, and never gives up. As we know, the Radical Left has been relentless in waging their battles in court. Conservatives and America First supporters badly need to catch up and turn the tables, which is why I applaud Stephen and Mark Meadows for rushing to fill this critical void. The era of unilateral legal surrender must end—and I hope all America First patriots will get behind America First Legal.

Rykowski: Trump Criticizes “Watered-down,” “Too Weak” Georgia Election Law
In two separate statements, the former president criticized the law for not doing enough to combat voter fraud and Georgia officials for not pushing for stronger legislation. Trump’s first statement, issued on April 5, decried the law as “watered-down” and stated: “Too bad the desperately needed election reforms in Georgia didn’t go further, as their originally approved Bill did, but the Governor and Lt. Governor would not go for it.” Trump went on to criticize the lack of “Signature Matching and many other safety measures.” In a statement the following day, Trump again blasted the bill as “far too weak and soft to ensure real ballot integrity.” He then elaborated on the bill’s problems: Election Day is supposed to be Election Day, not Election Week or Election Month. Far too many . . .

FIGHTING FOR ELECTION INTEGRITY
Hamilton: [AZ] Senate Passes Legislation To Prevent Private, Outside Funding Of Government Election Operations
On Wednesday, the Arizona State Senate passed HB 2569, legislation targeting the Big Tech companies that targeted swing states during the 2020 election cycle. The bill sponsored by Rep. Jake Hoffman prohibits government entities from receiving private monies to conduct elections. The vote fell along party lines, with Republicans supporting the bill and all Democrats voting against it. “Nearly half a billion dollars in private funding was spent by out of state Democrat billionaires to influence the administration of county and state elections operations nationally, including millions here in Arizona,” said Hoffman referring to entities like the Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL), which spent in the neighborhood of $1.4 million to influence the election in 2018 and over $350 million in 2020.

Laila: NEW: Tennessee Governor Signs Constitutional Carry Bill Into Law
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee (R) signed a constitutional carry bill, also known as the permitless carry bill, into law on Thursday. “I signed constitutional carry today because it shouldn’t be hard for law-abiding Tennesseans to exercise their #2A rights. Thank you members of the General Assembly and NRA for helping get this done,” Governor Lee said.

(What are red flag laws? From 2019) Sortwell: Why ‘red flag’ laws are more dangerous than you think
So-called “red flag” laws — a direct violation of multiple constitutional rights that would allow the government to seize a person’s property by force, following nothing more than an anonymous accusation. This fundamentally changes our system from “innocent until proven guilty” to “guilty until proven innocent.” It is fundamentally and unacceptably un-American. Even worse than other forms of gun control, red flag laws don’t just violate the Second Amendment; they also violate the Fourth Amendment, the Fifth Amendment and the Sixth Amendment.

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING FOREIGN POLICY
Continetti: Biden Builds Back Obama’s Middle East
That didn’t take long. One week after piously and erroneously repudiating the Commission on Unalienable Rights established by his predecessor Mike Pompeo, Secretary of State Antony Blinken revealed the hollow selectivity of this administration’s commitment to human rights and democratic reform.
On April 7, Blinken said he was “pleased to announce” the reinstatement of tens of millions of dollars in aid to the West Bank and Gaza and of some $150 million to support the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). “All assistance will be provided consistent with U.S. law,” Blinken added. […] For all of his “transformative” ambitions at home, Biden’s Middle East policy is remarkably backward-looking and uninspired. By denying aid to the Palestinians and UNRWA, the Trump administration recognized that the Israeli-Palestinian peace process had become a counterproductive sideshow, and that U.S. aid wasn’t contributing to the resolution of conflict, but incentivizing it.

DEMOCRAT PARTY PLAYBOOK: MARXIST IDENTITY POLITICS
Lifson: Harvard Medical School doctors advocate race-based discrimination to favor minorities, calling it ‘medical restitution’
Ruling class members are starting to state out loud the heretofore tacit punitive anti-White discrimination they seek in order to atone for ‘structural racism.’ Two professors at Harvard Medical School, Drs. Bram Wispelwey and Michelle Morse, have published an open call for racial discrimination in the delivery of medical services in the name of remedying “structural racism.” The article, titled “An Antiracist Agenda for Medicine,” has attracted criticism from conservatives, but so far no rebuke from Harvard Medical School or Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the Harvard-affiliated hospital, where they practice. The authors openly state that they are drawing on “Critical Race Theory” and advocate for reparations to paid to (all? Including Barack Obama and Kamala Harris, both of whose Black ancestors were slave-owners) Blacks, but see that measure as insufficient. They want open discrimination against Whites (and maybe Asians) in order to favor Blacks and what they call “Latinx” (a patronizing label favored by progressives but shunned by most Hispanics).

FAUCI’S VIRUS: IT’S POLITICAL
Cvrk: Part II – Have Americans Needlessly Died from the ChiCom Virus? Think Ivermectin
Part I of this two-part series covered the failure of the US public health system to properly message the lifesaving benefits of vitamin D and mineral supplements to bolster the immune system against the ChiCom virus (and other pathogens), as well as discussion of obesity as a key risk factor present among those hospitalized or in an ICU. […] Part II focuses on the suppression of therapeutic treatments that actually work against the ChiCom virus. Here are some summary points from Dr. Cole’s presentation on that subject: . . . […] Ivermectin provides proven anti-viral prophylaxis and treatment of the COVID virus – for prevention, early treatment, immune modifier treatment during hospitalization, and after-treatment to avoid reinfection. In world clinical trials, it has been shown to decrease death rates of virus-infected people by a minimum of 75% (up to 86% if treated early). It is also inexpensive. These facts have been known and suppressed by US public health authorities in government. So why haven’t public health messages been pushing the use of Ivermectin? An analysis from Mika Turkia (Helsinki, Finland) entitled, “A timeline of ivermectin-related events in the COVID-19 pandemic,” provides potential explanations and motivations behind the decision-making process. Here is an excerpt: . . . […] The latter paragraph almost certainly contains a key reason why Ivermectin (and other therapeutics) were suppressed by the US government – follow the money!
