We live in a world in which our right to keep and bear arms is constantly under attack just about everywhere: Hollywood, the news media, social media, public schools, universities and legislatures. There are multi-pronged assaults that scheme to disarm us through lies and deception.

Little is said about the use of arms in furtherance of the natural human right of self-defense. In any given year in the United States, there are untold millions of crime victims who have used guns to defend themselves from predators. In their honor, I hereby proclaim June as National Defensive Gun Use (DGU) Awareness Month. As gun owners, we must unite to create awareness and end crime and victimization through the lawful, defensive use of firearms. We should not have to live in fear that we can be victimized at anytime, anywhere. Here are some ways you can participate in National Defensive Gun Use Awareness Month: Wear your favorite Second Amendment group’s hat or shirt or other apparel. There is absolutely nothing controversial or embarrassing about owning guns. It’s a matter of pride. You are a member of a rare breed of human: an American. You constitute only 4% of the world population and are blessed with this natural right that governments lording over the remaining 96% of the world population don’t trust with. Whether it’s the National Rifle Association, Second Amendment Foundation, Gun Owners of America, Firearms Policy Coalition, National Association for Gun Rights, National African American Gun Association, Pink Pistols, AAPI Gun Owners, or other group, wear your apparel with pride.

Almost half a million intermodal containers sat on cargo ships unable to dock at Los Angeles ports. A train carrying thousands of tons of hazardous and flammable chemicals derailed near East Palestine, Ohio. Air Traffic Control cleared a FedEx plane to land on a runway occupied by a Southwest plane preparing to take off. Eye drops contaminated with antibiotic-resistant bacteria killed four and blinded fourteen. While disasters like these are often front-page news, the broader connection between the disasters barely elicits any mention. America must be understood as a system of interwoven systems; the healthcare system sends a bill to a patient using the postal system, and that patient uses the mobile phone system to pay the bill with a credit card issued by the banking system. All these systems must be assumed to work for anyone to make even simple decisions. But the failure of one system has cascading consequences for all of the adjacent systems. As a consequence of escalating rates of failure, America’s complex systems are slowly collapsing. The core issue is that changing political mores have established the systematic promotion of the unqualified and sidelining of the competent. This has continually weakened our society’s ability to manage modern systems. At its inception, it represented a break from the trend of the 1920s to the 1960s, when the direct meritocratic evaluation of competence became the norm across vast swaths of American society.

Why do so many liberal climate-activist grandees fly on private jets? Or why do those who profited from Black Lives Matter have a propensity for estate living? Or why do the community-activist Obamas prefer to live in not one, but three mansions? The answer is that calls for radical equity, “power for the people,” and mandated equality are usually mostly sloganeering for those who enjoy power and the lucre it brings, and their wish is to augment both for themselves. The result is that the issue du jour of mandated equality often becomes secondary if not irrelevant. There is neither fear of inconstancy nor hypocrisy, given the central theme that governs a leftist party line is political utility—or the ends of power always more than justify the hypocritical means used to obtain it. Spout racialist nonsense for 40 years? Harass women and young girls by blowing in their hair and squeezing them too tightly? Create a family grifting syndicate to leverage foreign cash in quid pro quo fashion? Praise racial segregationists? Joe Biden did all those things and more. But he also did them in service to a supposed noble cause, sort of like the current board president of the NAACP promoting a black travel ban on Florida, while he lives—in Florida!

Keep political utility in mind and the baffling hypocrisy of the Left makes all too perfect sense.

He detailed how he uses a VPN, burner phones, encrypted communications, and “sock puppet” accounts to dox people.

The operations occurred from March 6 to May 8 at four ports of entry and at two checkpoints. With two milligrams considered a lethal dose, one ton of fentanyl, or 2,000 pounds, is enough to kill 453,592,400 people.

The ban ultimately amounts to a withdrawal of approximately 336,404 acres of public lands from mineral leasing near the site some Native Americans consider sacred.

Alex Soros chairs the Open Society Foundations network, which was founded by his father, and has visited the White House at least 17 times since 2021, visitor logs show. He was most recently there for three meetings between Feb. 8 and 10, and was joined by Jon Finer, the principal national security adviser; Jordan Finkelstein, special assistant to the president; and Mariana Adame, the adviser to the counselor of the president. It is not clear who else Alex Soros might have met with during these visits. A White House official previously admitted that the younger Soros met with former chief of staff Ron Klain on multiple occasions, even though Klain’s name was never listed on the official logs.

The lawsuit, which was filed on May 25, alleges that the attack happened on October 26, 2022, at approximately 7:15 a.m. The parent suing, Theresa Gooden, alleged that at the time of the attack, the school district knew that the male student was choosing to identify as female and that he “regularly used the girl’s bathroom and not the boy’s bathroom.” The lawsuit points to a law Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) signed in August requiring public school students in Oklahoma to use restrooms that match the sex on their birth certificates. Students who claim to be transgender and who do not wish to comply must use a single-occupancy restroom or changing room provided by the school, according to the law. The complaint further notes that the law contains a cause of action clause for a parent of a student attending a school that does not comply. The lawsuit alleges that the transgender student had a previous history of violence.

Families need a plan of action during pride month. My husband and I outlined how to encourage our children in the truth this June. “Look, Mommy! A rainbow flag!” My 4-year-old daughter excitedly pointed at a suburban front porch as we drove home from a luncheon with friends.
