Then, the city and DCF conduct a nighttime grab with no warrants or legal precedence. These are two little boys, that were taken out of their beds, and from their parents. It won’t counteract the trauma, but hitting the city squarely in the wallet should wake them up and serve as a warning against unacceptable bureaucratic behavior by other cities and rogue agencies. Sue their butts off and use the money to enhance the boy’s lives down the road.

The magic begins with the headline and subheadline, and then refuses to let up: Pete Buttigieg Loves God, Beer, and His Electric Mustang Sure, the US secretary of transportation has thoughts on building bridges. But infrastructure occupies just a sliver of his voluminous mind. Indeed, Heffernan informs us, Buttigieg is compelled to hold much of his intellectual powers “in reserve” because a “cabinet job requires only a modest portion of his cognitive powers.”

Ken Martin, chair of the state Democratic Party organization, called the melee that erupted Saturday night “unacceptable.” Video circulating on social media shows that the disturbance began after supporters of incumbent Aisha Chughtai took the stage to seek delegates’ backing for the Ward 10 City Council seat. That sparked an uproar among backers of her challenger, Nasri Warsame. Some jumped on stage, shouting, banging on tables and waving signs. At least two people were injured, and the convention broke up with no endorsement.
