NOTABLE QUOTES
Attorney Lin Wood tweeted on 12/14/20: President Trump @realDonaldTrump is a genuinely good man. He does not really like to fire people. I bet he dislikes putting people in jail, especially “Republicans.” He gave @BrianKempGA & @GaSecofState every chance to get it right. They refused. They will soon be going to jail.
PRESIDENT TRUMP
Landsbaum: Trump’s End Game
The good news is it’s still entirely possible for Donald Trump to be reelected. The bad news is that it is likely to come down to the RINOs. […] No court was about to overturn a national election based on what are essentially only allegations in a lawsuit without testing their veracity in a full-blown trial with the accused allowed to present their case, and both sides engaging in cross examination, discovery and other requisite legal niceties to determine whether the allegations hold water. That just wasn’t ever going to happen. Certainly not by Dec. 14 when Electoral College electors were sent to Washington.
Trump’s team has known this all along. If so, things probably are advancing pretty much according to Trump’s plan. Democrats always have been aware of how unlikely it is for a court to hand Trump early victory. No doubt they made their shenanigans as complicated as possible to ensure that a quick court challenge. […] The only hope now — and it is as good, if not better, than any hope since voting ended — lies in the alternate electors for Trump sent Monday by seven states. The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives is sure to ignore the Trump alternate electors, so Trump can’t win at this stage. But the Republican-controlled Senate also will consider electors, and if they choose Trump’s over Biden’s, it’s a standoff: the House for electing Biden, the Senate for electing Trump. The rules for choosing between competing electors are vague. Congress may . . .

ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS
DuPree: Opinion: There Is No Way All Of This Wasn’t Planned And Choreographed By The Establishment
We have been a one-party country for a long time. We, conservatives did not know it. The GOP branch of the uniparty controlled who was our candidate, always a RINO. Now because of Pres. Trump, they have decided just officially to become a dictatorship. The Deep State crossed its Rubicon with this election. They are at war with us and intend to destroy us at all costs. We just have not recognized it yet. With the fraud election, they turned the government into an open dictatorship and will use it to make their chains on us clear enough to silence us. there’s a reason why I call out Republicans on my show; they deserve it. The Republican Party, like the Whigs of 1853-54, will dissolve by circumstance due to abject stupidity and hollow leadership. As with the Whigs dissolution and the outcome later – civil war, so too with the worthless, lying, hypocritical, weak Republicans who are proven garbage.

THE 2020 ELECTION
Black: The Perilous State of America’s Republic
It is one of the great ironies of modern times that the world owes chiefly to the United States the spread and comparative success of democracy and of the free market, and yet the United States is not now one of the world’s better-functioning democracies. All through this election year we heard spokespeople for both parties repeating the tired pieties about the “greatest country in human history.” By some measures it certainly is, but it now appears not really to be a functioning democracy and not really to be a society of laws. It is almost chaos, and not a chaos produced by this president, . . . Americans will have to do more than sing their magnificent anthems, repeat patriotic platitudes, and ignore the threats of minority groups to burn society down, while they “reimagine law enforcement.” Those conservatives who shared most of Trump’s views but became irrational in their hatred of him, and those nominal Republicans who have worked like termites to undermine him, will bear a heavy responsibility for the spectacle of incompetence and venality and of indulgence of national self-loathing that the present Democratic party embodies as it returns to office. If the United States cannot, in Lincoln’s words, “bind up the nation’s wounds,” and re-emerge as a strong democracy, the end of Western Civilization is in sight.

WUHAN FLU: IT’S POLITICAL
Thomas: The Wuhan Virus and Hospitalizations
Back in the early-to-mid-spring of this year, heeding the rampant Wuhan virus fearmongering, all across the U.S., hospitals shut down almost all care and procedures that they could. This was done in preparation for what we were repeatedly told was going to be a significant Wuhan virus patient surge. Of course, such a surge never materialized. Thus, U.S. hospitals were left with a massive patient shortage. In other words, the health care demands of the Wuhan virus were grossly overestimated. As I noted back in August, these demands were so “grossly overestimated” that billions of taxpayer dollars were unnecessarily spent — in other words, wasted — on “field hospitals” that were supposedly meant to help “handle” the pandemic as states fought to “flatten the curve.” Numerous hospitals that cost tens of millions of dollars each never treated a single patient. Others treated only a few dozen. Additionally, the hospital patient shortage was so massive that numerous U.S. hospitals suffered unprecedented, albeit self-inflicted, financial devastation. […] More than three dozen hospitals have entered bankruptcy this year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. In a series of reports released in May and June, the AHA projected that hospital and health system losses were expected to be at least $323.1 billion through 2020. Kaufman Hall projected that hospital margins could sink to -7% in the second half of 2020, an unsustainable level for America’s hospitals. […] . . . whether out of political pressure or misguided science, almost every hospital in the U.S. went along with the Wuhan virus fearmongering. And few, if any, are publicly admitting their mistakes. However — and tellingly — as the number of Wuhan virus cases rise across the U.S., and as hospital beds are filling up, we are not hearing U.S. hospitals tell the public to “stay home and stay safe,” nor or we seeing them turn away non-Wuhan virus patients in large numbers. Also, though hospitals in America are seeing a (welcome) increase in patients and a corresponding reduction in available beds, contrary to what many of us are hearing, this is not exclusively due to an increase in the spread of the Wuhan virus . . .
