A group of military doctors alarmed by reported spikes in service members’ miscarriages, myocarditis, cancer and other serious issues in the first year of COVID-19 vaccine availability no longer trust the military’s medical database, one of them told Just the News. Lt. Col. Peter Chambers said he was now giving potential vaccine-injury cases, from his own practice and that of colleagues, directly to Sen. Ron Johnson for the Wisconsin Republican’s ongoing pressure on the Department of Defense (DOD) to end COVID vaccine mandates. Their last rendezvous was a few weeks ago in Dallas, where Chambers is based, the retiring Green Beret surgeon and Purple Heart recipient said in a phone interview this week. All service members have signed a release for their records, which include case numbers but not names, to be shared, Chambers said. he Biden Pentagon recently alerted retired Army Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn it plans to recoup from him nearly $40,000 he received for attending a dinner in Moscow in 2015, claiming he didn’t clear the speaking fee in advance and therefore violated the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause. But documents from Russia special prosecutor Robert Mueller’s investigation tell a far different story. The documents, reviewed by Just the News, show Flynn in fact alerted his former agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, ahead of the dinner and got approval to use the trip to spy on Russia’s leadership and specifically its GRU military intelligence unit. The operation was blessed in advance by senior DIA officials, including Vincent Stewart, the Marine general who had succeeded Flynn as DIA chief.

Great Britain is Russian President Vladimir Putin’s public enemy number one. In March the Kremlin branded UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson the most active anti-Russian leader. A few days ago on television, Putin’s propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov fancifully suggested Russia should drown Britain in a radioactive tsunami created by Poseidon nuclear torpedos that would leave survivors in “a radioactive desert, unfit for anything for a very long time”. Putin is upset about Britain’s stance over Ukraine, leading Europe and much of the world in aggressive sanctions against Russia; and pouring in financial and military aid plus decisive secret intelligence to help keep Kiev in the fight. Needless to say, front-line states facing Russia take the opposite view of the UK. During visits to Poland and Finland in the last two weeks, the enthusiasm for Britain was palpable — among politicians, military and ordinary people alike. As a Brit I don’t remember such a warm reception anywhere in the world except perhaps in the US when we stood firmly by their side in the aftermath of 9/11. Poles, Finns, Latvians, Lithuanians and other close neighbours of the Russian bully also appreciate the UK’s forward-leaning role in NATO’s pre-emptive deployment, positioning increased combat forces on their territory alongside other allies, predominantly the US. Promises by NATO leaders that Putin will face the consequences if any of his soldiers so much as puts a toe-cap onto NATO soil of course reassure these beleaguered countries. But are we giving them false hope? Can eastern states really rely on the US and western European NATO members to ride to their aid if they get into a fight with Russia?

The only question now is how much it will hurt. When news arrived that the nation’s real gross domestic product (GDP) declined in the first quarter, words like recession and stagflation immediately gained currency. It had long been clear that the post-Covid recovery was slowing, but such characterizations are nonetheless misplaced, at least for the moment. The quarter’s decline was more a reflection of technical matters than of economic fundamentals. Figures for the spring and summer quarters will likely show a return to growth. Still, the buzz about recession and stagflation is warranted, because not too far out on the horizon, say 12 to 18 months, recession or stagnation or both are likely. […] It is beginning to look as though such inflation expectations are taking hold in the United States today. Polls uniformly show Americans worried about continuing rapid increases in living costs. Wage growth has accelerated beyond historical norms but still fails to keep up with price increases. No matter how spin doctors in Washington care to frame the matter, Americans are aware, intuitively at least, that inflation is embedded in the economy. And well they should anticipate persistent inflation, for today’s price pressures have deep fundamental roots.

Multiple doctors and therapists pushed back against Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine’s recent assertion that “there is no argument” about gender-affirming care among medical professionals who specialize in children and adolescents. Several medical professionals told Fox News they have seen rates of gender dysphoria skyrocket among young people in recent years, but that many of their colleagues are reluctant to speak publicly against transgender ideology for fear of both professional and personal retaliation.
