For some time now, Michael Anton has been saying that the Establishment—Democrats tout court, of course, but also large swaths of the testosterone-challenged GOP—are dead set against allowing Donald Trump to run for president again. It’s been obvious from its beginnings that the January 6 committee—an illegally constituted kangaroo court—was interested in one thing and one thing only: eliminating Trump and his followers from the metabolism of American political life. The fact that its public face is Liz Cheney, a soon-to-be cashiered anti-Trump RINO, underscores Anton’s point, or part of it. It’s not just the Democrats who cannot countenance Trump. It is the entire certified political class, what Anton calls the bureaucratic “uniparty” that runs the government and maintains the Overton Window that determines what is and what is not acceptable in the political life of the country. Donald Trump is not in the picture frame. Another data point: just Friday, the New York Times gleefully reported that Fox News—Fox!—had also cut the former president loose. This fight against Great Reset communism is a struggle that many Americans did not see coming. As such, they’re just now “awakening” to the massive globalist threat of the World Economic Forum’s planned New World Order. They went to bed one night believing that most Americans shared a common sense of values, an appreciation for American history, and a patriotic dedication to liberty and freedom. They rose in the morning to discover that their Founding Fathers were now considered racist; their education system could no longer distinguish boys from girls; the national security surveillance state monitored all their moves; and socialism had taken over the free market economy under the guises of central bank money-printing, unsustainable government spending, ESG manipulation of stocks, racial redistribution programs, COVID-1984 fear campaigns, and apocalyptic tales of “climate change.” The barrage of so many crises at once is alarming. It is also intentional. Sowing rampant doubt and uncertainty among a population creates opportunity for any hostile force. A disoriented and fractured society is a society ripe for conquering. Before every great invasion, target nations are first pounded with a cacophony of cannon blasts and blinded with a curtain of sulfuric smoke to create confusion, crumble defenses, and cripple resolve. Biological systems are treated as “living software.” With each technical advance, their myths bleed into our reality. […] It’s fitting that Moderna’s mRNA vaxx was initially funded with $20 million from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2016. A Michigan jury in April acquitted two men charged with conspiring to kidnap Whitmer after defense attorneys successfully argued their clients had been entrapped by the FBI; the jury deadlocked on two other defendants. Shortly after the stunning verdicts were handed down in what the Justice Department considers one of its most prominent “domestic terror” investigations in recent history, prosecutors announced they would retry Barry Croft and Adam Fox, the alleged ringleader of the group. Apparently, Centers for Disease Control director Dr. Rochelle Walensky has been embarrassing the Biden administration. As if such a thing were possible. According to Politico: The Biden administration spent $25,750 and authorized an additional $30,500 for media training and executive coaching for the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, ROCHELLE WALENSKY, according to internal CDC expense authorization filings obtained by West Wing Playbook. […] . . . leave it to the Biden administration to blame “messaging” instead of policy for the blunders, we can see that all through the Biden administration — from Joe’s gaffes and persistent whinings that he doesn’t get the credit he thinks he deserves, to the out-of-control clownery of Kamala Harris, along with many, many more instances. It’s always a messaging problem with these people, never a policy problem. They seem to think the public is stupid and can be made to believe that $5.00 a gallon gas isn’t so bad given that it was $5.20 a week earlier, or that inflation is fine here given that it’s worse in other countries (which is only a few of them). Le Mahieu: Health Care System To Pay Over $10 Million To Workers Who Sued Over Vaccine Mandate, Lawyers Announce
Lawyers for 500 health care workers who sued a hospital system over a COVID vaccine mandate said Friday that the workers had settled for over $10 million. The workers, who alleged discrimination, had been denied religious exemptions from the NorthShore University Health Care System vaccine mandate.
“As a result of the settlement, NorthShore will pay $10,337,500 to compensate these health care employees who were victims of religious discrimination, and who were punished for their religious beliefs against taking an injection associated with aborted fetal cells,” Liberty Counsel, which represented the former and current workers, announced.

If Democratic lawmakers had to comply with federal truth-in-advertising laws, they’d all be up on charges for the blatantly false name given to the “Inflation Reduction Act.” President Joe Biden claimed last week that “this bill will, in fact, reduce inflationary pressure on the economy.” In fact, it won’t. It was never meant to. The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School examined the bill. Here’s what it concluded. “The impact on inflation is statistically indistinguishable from zero.” Worse, “the Act would very slightly increase inflation until 2024 and decrease inflation thereafter.” In other words, it would add inflationary pressure today, when inflation is already running red hot, draining worker wages, and causing pain and suffering across the land.

Families in Arizona and Wyoming have been hardest hit by the shortage with out-of-stock rates at 44 percent and 42 percent, respectively. Biden and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have made it easier for foreign manufacturers to get shipments into the country, and appealed to companies such as Nestle and Reckitt to step up production. French consumer goods company Danone on Wednesday said it had shipped more than 750,000 cans of its flagship Aptamil baby formula to the U.S. from Europe, with another 550,000 cans on the way. However, parents struggling to feed their children have slammed the administration, with one Louisiana mom alleging it seems like those in power ‘just forgot’ about the ongoing crisis. […] In-stock rates of infant formula remain far below normal levels, despite recent trends showing a rise in formula inventory. The nation reported a 30 percent out-of-stock rate on Friday, based on data from the week ended July 24. The week prior, ending July 17, the out-of-stock rate was 32 percent. Biden’s solution to the ongoing shortage has been to fly in foreign formula to try to plug the gap, but the 802,446 bottles that arrive per shipment barely line the stomachs of the 3 million babies born every year.

Political language manipulates political debate. Abortion opponents who define themselves as “pro-life” semantically render abortion proponents as “pro-death.” Abortion supporters who define themselves as “pro-choice” semantically render any opposition as “anti-choice.” Who wants to be “pro-death” or “anti-choice,” after all? Such is the nature of politics. Words are weapons: when wielded deftly, they shape the battlespace for our minds. So what does it mean when Western leaders these days speak so much of democracy but so little of individual rights? Or that they preach the virtues of international institutions, while demonizing nationalism as xenophobic and dangerous? It means that national sovereignty and natural, inviolable rights are under direct attack throughout the West. […] When presidents and prime ministers make and enforce their own laws under the pretext of “emergency powers,” then citizens should not be surprised when their leaders discover an endless supply of “emergencies” requiring urgent action.

In Genesis, Adam names all the creatures of the earth. “God formed out of the earth all the wild beasts and all the birds of the sky and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that would be its name.” There are lots of explanations for why this is significant, depending on your theological viewpoint. To me naming things is not insignificant in everyday life. How you call something shapes the meaning in your mind and manipulates your point of view. […] So to me it’s not a small thing that this administration is changing the definition of so many things like women, vaccines, recession, and illegal immigrants. The press plays along. […] There’s a movement afoot seeking a new name for monkeypox on the grounds that it is offensive to gay men who are the principal sufferers of this disease, particularly when they engage in unprotected sex with large numbers of partners. […] Under the pretense that we can avoid stigmatizing disease by renaming it, I think we exaggerate its reach and at the same time fail to take appropriate measures to stem actions known to spread it. Remember with AIDS we knew that the San Francisco bathhouses were a major disease vector but we never shut them down because… you know. […] The misnaming of things is not just out of Washington. Many local communities are playing the game as well. Take Los Angeles, for example. . . .

Definitions make order of our lives. Imagine if the definitions of right and left or up and down could vary based on the whims of our leaders and their pet agendas or causes? This is especially true in science, where everything relies on a solid framework of truths and accepted terms. Economics is one such science and has a host of definitions. One such term is “recession” and here is the definition from the appropriately named publication, The Economist: . . . […] Based on the GDP number released last week, by the conventional quantitative measure of two consecutive quarters of negative GDP, we are officially in a recession. Yet the White House and their media fanboys and fangirls are now trying to redefine recession, ignoring the quantitative definition used for more than half a century. How convenient. […] We define words for a reason, to provide clarity and precision. Unfortunately, the left wants to define everything as it chooses, a state of anarchy where reality is determined by those in charge. How Orwellian.

Of all the uncertainties that college freshmen must face, none is more sensitive than the issue of roommates. You might become best friends. You might go to war over who ate the leftover pizza in the fridge. There’s nothing to be taken for granted when it comes to living with a virtual stranger, except that men room with men and women room with women. At least, for now. If the Biden administration gets its way, schools could force biological female students to live with biological men who identify as women and vice versa. […] A biological man who began identifying as a woman at age 13 could be treated the same as a biological man who began identifying as a woman an hour ago. Both could be allowed to room with a woman who has no say in the matter, nor could the school be obligated to alert her in any way that her roommate is not, in fact, biologically female.

Jesse Jackson demands owner of Sesame Street theme park hires black board of directors and funnels money to African American businesses to make amends for ‘racist characters snubbing black kids’
Civil rights campaigner the Reverend Jesse Jackson has written to Sesame Place urging it to hire more black executives and mandate racial sensitivity training carried out by black instructors. Jackson, 80, wrote to parent company SeaWorld some suggestions in the letter to remove the ‘stain’ of ‘racism’ after black children were filmed apparently being ignored by Sesame Street characters at parades at the Pennsylvania theme park. The former presidential candidate wants them to bring black Americans into their board of directors and spend money on black-owned business. He wrote: ‘Without sincere action from corporations, discriminatory acts always return. Sesame Place, which is owned by SeaWorld has not provided solutions that I trust will eradicate the culture that has stained this theme park with discriminatory practices. We need SeaWorld to take a stance against past practices and do what is necessary to end discriminatory acts at their theme parks.’ Jackson also wants SeaWorld to give the Philadelphia theme park an African American firm to handle sensitivity training for workers and what he phrases as ‘doing right by’ the family affected.

Lockhart, Matthews & Pleasance: Now Russia cuts off gas supply to Latvia amid growing energy panic in Europe after supplies to Poland, Finland, Netherlands and Denmark were axed – and some cities go dark to save power
Russia’s state-owned gas giant Gazprom cut off gas to Latvia today because the country refused to pay in roubles. In a short statement, the company said it was halting its gas deliveries to Russia’s small neighbour because Latvia broke ‘terms for extraction of gas’, which is believed to refer to the EU country’s refusal to pay in roubles. This week Russia also reduced the amount of gas coming through the Nord Stream 1 pipe – the main route into Germany – to 20 per cent capacity. Officially, Moscow says flows are being choked off because of repairs to turbines which pump the gas but Germany said this was just an excuse. Most believe Putin is exacting revenge on European leaders for defying him over the war in Ukraine. […] Putin appears to be betting that European unity over Ukraine will break before the worst effects are felt back home.
