Silverstein: CNN op-ed calls for repeal of the Second Amendment: ‘Let’s just get rid of it’
Longtime liberal radio host Bill Press wrote an op-ed Thursday calling for the Second Amendment to be outright repealed. “The only effective way to deal with the Second Amendment is to repeal it — and then replace it with something that makes sense in a civilized society,” Press wrote for CNN in an article titled “There’s no way to fix the Second Amendment. Let’s just get rid of it.” “I’m hardly the first person to say that the Second Amendment has been a disaster for this country. In fact, two Supreme Court justices — justices appointed by Republican presidents — have said as much,” he added. Press cited former Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger, who in 1991 told PBS that “If I were writing the Bill of Rights now, there wouldn’t be any such thing as the Second Amendment.” Burger, who also presided over Roe v. Wade, is quoted as calling the Second Amendment “one of the greatest pieces of fraud” in American history.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation, of which I am President, has sued Secretaries of State across the country to remove deceased and duplicate registrants from the voter rolls. In Pennsylvania, we won litigation that resulted in removing over 20,000 deceased registrants from the voter rolls. We have similar ongoing litigation in Michigan to remove over 25,000 deceased registrants from the voter rolls. Now, we are exposing New Jersey’s disastrous voter rolls.

The ink was barely dry on the not guilty verdict for Michael Sussmann, just one of many figures who acted as a pass-through between Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the FBI to manufacture the Russia collusion hoax, before the same players were up to their old tricks. Members of the January 6 select committee blanketed the Sunday news programs last weekend promising bombshell revelations would shake the nation during a primetime hearing Thursday night. Representative Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) told CBS News’ Robert Costa the committee would present findings to show an “extremely broad . . . extremely well-organized” conspiracy to overthrow the government that day. What the committee uncovered related to the alleged conspiracy, Cheney warned, is “really chilling.’ Roughly 24 hours after Cheney’s interview aired, Matthew Graves, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia handling the January 6 criminal prosecution, announced seditious conspiracy charges against five members of the Proud Boys, the so-called militia group involved in the Capitol protest. The new indictment, handed down by a D.C. grand jury 13 months after its initial indictments in the case, made instant headlines. But the 32-page indictment contained no new information aside from a few irrelevant details; . . .

In the latest revelation regarding the Democrats’ mishandling of security and intelligence ahead of January 6th, a staffer for Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) received warnings about the possible events of that day, even though Capitol Police leadership and frontline officers were never given the same information. According to Just The News, new documents show that top Schumer aide Kelly Fado was emailed by Capitol Police Deputy Chief Sean Gallagher on January 5th, 2021. In the email sent at 9:40 PM, Gallagher said he wanted to “provide you visibility” with intelligence that had been received by the FBI’s threat analysis center. The information sent to Fado – who is now the Senate’s Deputy Sergeant at Arms – allegedly warned of a plan by protesters to block Democratic members of Congress from entering the Capitol building, using the underground tunnel system to block possible points of entry and exit.

Chinese Communist Party-controlled Xinhua News Agency trumpeted a quote from congresswoman and self-proclaimed socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) in an effort to characterize “the rate of school shootings in the United States as a mark of global shame.” “We can’t even keep our kids safe from their school being turned into a war zone,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a push for increased gun control at a Wednesday House hearing. Xinhua’s article showcases the Ocasio-Cortez quote in bold underneath the congresswoman’s official portrait. Ocasio-Cortez has a long relationship with Chinese state-controlled media, the Washington Free Beacon reported last year. She thanked the newspaper Sing Tao, whose owners are members of a Chinese Communist Party advisory group, for covering a June 2020 roundtable discussion. She also paid the paper that month and in April 2021 to run ads.

The people who created the Fourth Branch of Government used every tool in their arsenal to outlast and remove Donald Trump; then they turned to the one cognitively challenged candidate who would not be a threat to the construct, Joe Biden, and installed him through fraud and mail-in ballots. Everything is downstream from this construct. Prior to 9/11/01 the greatest threat to government was considered to be from outside the U.S, vis-a-vis terrorism. After 9/11/01 the greatest threat was redefined, Americans were now considered the threat, the enemy tracking radar was turned around to look inside America.
In the era shortly after 9/11, the DC national security apparatus was constructed to preserve continuity of government and simultaneously view all Americans as potential threats. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) were created specifically for this purpose. DHS and ODNI were created because Americans were now the threat to government. Stop. Pause. Think. You are taking off your shoes at the airports because YOU are the threat. You pass through body scanners because YOU are the threat. Stop. Pause. Think. How does that define your relationship with government?
Brown: Inflation Blows Past Estimates in Worst Report Since 1981
Consumer inflation ticked up one full percent in May, according to new data from the Department of Labor released Friday morning, meaning inflation in the last year has soared 8.6 percent as rising costs blew past consensus estimates that inflation would only increase 0.7 percent to remain even with April’s 8.3 percent year-over-year increase. May’s inflation report is the worst for consumers since December 1981, coming the same week President Biden continued to claim that he was leading the United States in its best recovery in history.

The document asserts: “Unequal development in different countries in the promotion of health and control of diseases, especially communicable disease, is a common danger.” On its especially creepy “infodemic” webpage, WHO lectures that free speech challenges government control of events, whining that “too much information … during a disease outbreak … causes confusion and risk-taking behaviours that can harm health.” Unrestricted information “also leads to mistrust in health authorities and undermines the public health response.” […] Biden’s IHR amendments would bestow on WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, an Ethiopian communist and kowtower to the Chinese Communist Party, the power to declare a public health emergency in any country on earth on a mere whim. The bundle of Biden amendments proposed in Geneva would “give WHO the right to take important steps to collaborate with other nations and other organizations worldwide to deal with any nation’s alleged health crisis, even against its stated wishes,” according to Peter Breggin and his wife, Ginger Ross Breggin. Dr. Breggin is a psychiatrist by training, a former U.S. Public Health Service officer, and former National Institute on Mental Health consultant. Mrs. Breggin is a medical reform advocate.

DeSantis noted there was “graphic language” used at the Dallas drag show, including a neon sign that read, “It’s not gonna lick itself.” “You had these very young kids, and they must have been like 9, 10 years old, at a ‘drag show’ where they were putting money in the underwear of this—and that is totally inappropriate,” DeSantis said in a news conference in Fort Myers on Wednesday. “That is not something that children should be exposed to.”
