June 6, 1944: It was perhaps the most pivotal day in World War II. More than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily fortified French coastline, to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France, with the support of 5,000 ships and 13,000 aircraft. The Normandy beaches were chosen for D-Day because they lay within range of air cover, and were less heavily defended than the obvious objective of the Pas de Calais, the shortest distance between Great Britain and the continent.

This year, the topics for discussion include geopolitical realignments, NATO challenges, China, Indo-Pacific Realignment, Sino-U.S. Tech Competition, Russia, Continuity of Government and the Economy, Disruption of the Global Financial System, Disinformation, Energy Security and Sustainability, Post Pandemic Health, Fragmentation of Democratic Societies, Trade and Deglobalization, and Ukraine. […] While the official statement is that there is no “detailed” agenda, this does not mean that there is no agenda. An examination of the topics for discussion essentially establishes the globalist agenda of the group. For example, this year they are discussing “disinformation.” The fact that President Joe Biden attempted to establish an office of “disinformation” in the Department of Homeland Security — and that the Biden Administration considers opposing viewpoints on issues such as gun control and climate change to be “disinformation” — gives us a pretty good idea of what Biden’s fellow internationalists consider “disinformation.”

Winters: EXC: Zuckerberg Group Spending $80M to Hijack Local Election Practices and Help Liberals.

The Center for Tech and Civic Life – a nonprofit group that controversially used funds from Mark Zuckerberg to boost turnout for Democrats in the 2020 election – launched a new $80 million initiative targeting local election departments. Under the leadership of Tiana Epps-Johnson, the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) overruled local election officials and increase turnout in almost exclusively Democratic districts through mail-in voting in 2020. Proving the partisan conflict of interest, the CTCL supported many election offices’ shifts to vote-by-mail and allegedly accessed mail-in ballots ahead of the election using funds from the Facebook founder’s Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Though the group purports to be nonpartisan, following several exposés into the group’s left-wing bias, the CTCL appears to be launching a new $80 million initiative to extend its influence over America’s election departments.

Announced in April of 2022, the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence is described as a “nonpartisan collaborative that is bringing together election officials, designers, technologists, and other experts to help local election departments improve operations, develop a set of shared standards and values, and obtain access to best-in-class resources to run successful elections.” The alliance’s website provides scant details on how it plans to accomplish its aforementioned goals.

I wrote this essay some weeks ago, but I kept waiting to publish it til tragic mass shootings were no longer in the news. But that day looks as if it will never come, so I am publishing it anyway, with grief and mourning for those lost to gun violence, as we must nonetheless have this difficult conversation. The last thing keeping us free in America, as the lights go off all over Europe- and Australia, and Canada – is, yes, we must face this fact, the Second Amendment. I can’t believe I am writing those words. But here we are and I stand by them. I am a child of the peace movement. A daughter of the Left, of a dashingly-bearded proto-Beatnik poet, my late dad, and of a Summer of Love activist/cultural anthropologist, my lovely mom. We are a lineage of anti-war, longhaired folks who believe in talking things out. By the time I was growing up in California in the 1960s and 1970s, weapons were supposed to have become passe. When I played at friends’ houses in our neighborhood in San Francisco, there were posters on the walls: “War is Not Healthy for Children and Other Living Things.” Protesters had iconically placed daisies in the rifle barrels of unhip-looking National Guardsmen. We were obviously supposed to side with the daisies. Weapons were archaic, benighted — tacky. A general peace was surely to prevail, in the dawning Age of Aquarius. My young adulthood too unfolded in a context that reviled all guns all the time. […] We assumed all gun owners were driven by fear or by rage. […] I have evolved my view about firearms, and I understand that doing so is in fact in alignment with the Constitution. And the thing about really supporting the Constitution is that you do not get to pick and choose. I can’t choose my favorite Amendment, the easy one, the First Amendment, and then shy away from the glass-clear directive of the Second Amendment, simply as a result of my own cultural discomfort. You have to stand up for it all, if you are to call yourself a supporter of the Constitution. In part I am addressing this difficult, tender topic because I now know people who “keep and bear arms.” And they do not match the stereotypes I had long taken for granted.

Navarro said he sent the FBI a letter on Wednesday offering them a modus vivendi, which was ignored. He said he also spoke with an agent that same day and told him “you don’t have to come banging on my door like you did last week, getting me out of bed.”

When did it become trendy to take children to sex events? Kamhi: Should We Normalize Sexual Deviance?

At the recent National Art Education Association convention, the presenters of a session dealing with “LGBTQ+ artists” began with the rather startling declaration that “we owe it to our kids to normalize these identities.” Not one of the more than 230 other registrants for the session questioned that assertion. I find it deeply troubling, however. To normalize means to cause something previously regarded as anomalous (that is, as deviating from the normal or common order) to be accepted as normal, thereby altering the accepted norm. Do we really want to do this with LGBTQ identities (much less the unknown identities subsumed by the plus sign I omit here)? Or would doing so constitute a fundamental denial of reality, with ultimately destructive implications for humanity? The perpetuation of our species, after all, depends on the binary male-female sexuality that LGBTQ individuals deviate from. The very term “queer,” represented by the Q in the abbreviation, signifies deviating from what is expected or normal. If such deviation were the norm, how long would humanity have survived?

The ultra-leftist Biden Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, appears on ABC with George Stephanopoulos to discuss the solutions to the massive economic collapse that looms all around us. Within the interview Buttigieg states the Biden administration goal is to use the high cost of living (policy driven inflation) as an opportunity for the government to take over household expenses and create equity via government distribution.

In a speech on Monday, Hochul informed the crowd that her intentions were in motion to utilize big tech social media firms to monitor private citizens. Last month, Hochul unveiled what she called a “comprehensive plan to combat domestic terrorism and prevent gun violence”, in the wake of a mass shooting at a Buffalo grocery store.

Beam: California lawmakers mull buying out farmers to save water

After decades of fighting farmers in court over how much water they can take out of California’s rivers and streams, some state lawmakers want to try something different: use taxpayer money to buy out farmers. A proposal in the state Senate would spend up to $1.5 billion to buy “senior water rights” that allow farmers to take as much water as needed from the state’s rivers and streams to grow their crops. If state officials owned those rights, they could leave the water in the rivers to benefit endangered species of salmon and other fish. […] . . . he is hopeful the program will work because he said there are about six native fish species that are “on life support right now because we don’t have enough water flowing through the Delta.” “So anything that can be done to address that problem is appreciated,” he said.
