Whether the draft opinion stands or falls, this is a great moment of moral clarity for the nation — and a time of great peril. Now we see, as we rarely have over the past five decades, the severity of what Roe inaugurated in 1973 and Casey sustained in 1992. By snatching the question of abortion from the American people and their elected representatives, and doing so with such shoddy jurisprudence that it has since distorted many other areas of constitutional law, Roe divided the nation and sowed the seeds of a constitutional crisis. The contours of that crisis are now coming into view. What’s clear already is that the left is willing to destroy every institution of American civic life to preserve their abortion regime. The day after the leak, the president of the United States, a man who once pushed for a constitutional amendment to overturn Roe but has since surrendered to the demands of his party’s ascendent left wing, took the extraordinary step of weighing in on an undecided Supreme Court case. (While he was at it, he spouted exactly the kind of nonsense we have come to expect from him.) He wasn’t alone. Nearly every leading Democrat made a statement about the case Tuesday. Some, like Sen. Chasmar: 13 states have trigger laws automatically banning most or all abortions if Supreme Court overturns Roe v Wade

At least 13 states in the country have so-called “trigger laws” banning most abortions that would take effect immediately if Roe v. Wade is overturned. According to the Guttmacher Institute, a pro-abortion research group, those states are Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wyoming, which just passed its trigger law last month. There are also five additional states – Alabama, Arizona, Michigan, West Virginia and Wisconsin – with an abortion ban still on the books from before Roe v. Wade that could be reinstated if the law is overturned, according to Guttmacher’s research.

Mittelstadt: Georgia ‘pen and paper’ signature rule is ‘voter suppression,’ left-wing lawsuit alleges

oalition of left-wing activist groups led by controversial Democrat election lawyer Marc Elias is suing the Georgia State Election Board for requiring that absentee ballot applications be signed by hand, calling it “voter suppression” unfair to minority voters. Under Georgia’s SB 202, the election integrity law enacted in the state last year, “absentee ballot applications must be signed with pen and ink in order to be valid, which is commonly referred to as a wet signature requirement,” according to Democracy Docket, an election law advocacy platform founded by Elias. “This requirement means that digital or electronic signatures are not accepted and the voter must physically put pen to paper to create a valid signature,” Elias’ website explains. “In other words, under this requirement, an individual can fill out an absentee ballot application online, but then must print out the application in order to sign it with pen and paper before submitting it online, by mail or in person.” The lawsuit, filed Monday in federal distrcit court in Georgia, argues that voters “who rely on absentee ballots and lack access to printers, scanners, or fax machines” may be disenfranchised as a result of Georgia’s “arcane rules and administrative traps.”

Musk himself responded to the letter asking who funded them: the answer being an assortment of ‘dark money groups’ like George Soros’s Open Society Foundation; NGOs founded by former Clinton and Obama administration staffers; wealthy Democrat donors and their family foundations; labor unions; and the governments of European nations. ‘Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter will further toxify our information ecosystem and be a direct threat to public safety, especially among those already most vulnerable and marginalized,’ they wrote. They warned that advertising on Twitter would see their company ‘risks association with a platform amplifying hate, extremism, health misinformation, and conspiracy theorists.’ The authors continued: ‘Under Musk’s management, Twitter risks becoming a cesspool of misinformation, with your brand attached, polluting our information ecosystem in a time where trust in institutions and news media is already at an all-time low. ‘Your ad dollars can either fund Musk’s vanity project or hold him to account. We call on you to demand Musk uphold these basic standards of community trust and safety, and to pull your advertising spending from Twitter if they are not.’

Last week, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), which is comprised of all Democrats, held a meeting with YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki to “discuss the urgency of addressing Spanish language dis/misinformation, content moderation, and YouTube’s initiatives and policies addressing dis/misinformation,” with the group arguing that “[a]ddressing the rampant spread of Spanish-language dis/misinformation remains an urgent priority for the CHC as Hispanics across the country increasingly turn to social media for vital information.”

Last week, Matt Walsh’s book “Johnny the Walrus,”which tells a story of a boy pretending to be a walrus, became the bestselling children’s book on Amazon. It topped the former bestselling children’s book “You-ology: A Puberty Guide for Every Body,” written by two scholars from the American Academy of Pediatrics. This is news because of the aggressive pushback against Walsh and his book. Libs of TikTok released videos showing Amazon employees having a meltdown over “Johnny the Walrus.” Not only do they heap all kinds of invective on the book, but they even signal their need to bring it down and hinder its popularity. True to form, Amazon has censored publicity for the book, pulling ads for it as well as changing the way it’s classified. In addition to this, hordes of leftist activists have posted videos and reviews condemning the book, often breaking into tears. Like the Amazon employees, these critics rage against the book’s anti-transgender message and believe the book and its writer should be destroyed. There are three ironies about this story that offer some important insights on today’s media culture: (1) attempts at censorship and cancelling content will often backfire, (2) books like “Johnny the Walrus” are not wrong or dangerous, but the opposite, and (3) children’s books have been dominated by blatant left-wing propaganda for some time now. Suppression Backfires.

Mathews: Normalizing Perversion

The reasons for the Left’s perverse sexualizing of very young children make sense only if you are sexually neurotic. None of it makes sense if you are a rational, healthy, sexually normal person. For example, what is to be gained by first graders learning about drag queens and transsexuality? How is a child’s life improved, how is the culture improved when children whose brains are not physically equipped to process such information get exposed to it? If it is the hope of sexualizers that children will be more accepting of perversity, to what end? No government-schooled child of any age should be taught matters of sexuality, sexual behavior, or sexual identity beyond the egg-sperm basics. There is no legitimate reason for it. Let’s back this truck up and reframe the argument: Instead of settling the debate where conservatives concede “age-appropriateness” ground to the sexualizers, reverse this polluted stream and remove all sexual material from all public and private schools and leave these matters to parents. Conservatives have been far too accommodating on this matter. Why is the Left so anxious to expose to little kids sexually explicit cartoons of two boys (or one man and one boy) engaging in oral sex, as has been depicted in some schoolbooks?

COVID-19 vaccination was “significantly associated” with a 25% jump in emergency medical services (EMS) for heart problems in 16-39 year-olds in Israel, whose vaccination rate is among the world’s highest, according to a peer-reviewed study by MIT researchers. Published last week in the Nature journal Scientific Reports, the study found no association with COVID infections, however. “While not establishing causal relationships, the findings raise concerns regarding vaccine-induced undetected severe cardiovascular side-effects and underscore the already established causal relationship between vaccines and myocarditis, a frequent cause of unexpected cardiac arrest in young individuals,” the study says.

The research adds more fuel to the legal and grassroots campaigns against compelled vaccination.

Mitchell-Sandor, Interior Communications Electrician 3rd Class Natasha Huffman and Retail Services Specialist 3rd Class Mika’il Rayshawn Sharp. […] A spokesperson for the Navy told Military.com that all sailors who wish to be rehoused off of the ship will be allowed to do so. […] Navy investigators are looking into conditions that sailors live in on board the ship as well as the culture on board. The ship can accommodate over 5,000 sailors. While the ship is in dry dock, there are close to 3,000 crew working on the Nimitz class-carrier.

The vote will be used by Democrats in many Senate midterm races throughout the country to persuade the electorate to vote blue. As of now, Democrats are projected to lose the Senate to Republicans on a slim margin.

The letter urges advertisers to make their next ad deals with Twitter contingent on changes to platform policy under Mr Musk. However, Musk is pushing back against the effort by asking, “who funds these organizations that want to control your access to information? Let’s investigate.” He then goes on to tweet, “Sunlight is the best disinfectant.”

A lone DHS agent was quickly surrounded by screaming protestors – one waving a Soviet Union flag – as he used a baton to ward them off and continually shouted: ‘back up!’

Back up.’ But the protestors swarmed him, shouting at him to ‘get the f*** out of here’ until he received support from another armed DHS agent.
