Kellogg, former National Security Council chief of staff under Trump, made the remark on the John Solomon Reports podcast when asked who should negotiate with Putin. “What about Trump?” asked Kellogg, currently cochairman of the Center for American Security at America First Policy Institute. “You know, Trump’s the art of the deal. He knows Putin, he could probably — they won’t do it, by the way. I guarantee you that’s not gonna happen. Blitzer: NY judge holds Trump in contempt, issues daily $10K fines until he complies with AG
A New York Supreme Court judge held former President Donald Trump in civil contempt on Monday, ordering him to pay $10,000 every day until he fully complies with New York Attorney General Letitia James’s subpoena in her investigation of the Trump Organization. James has been seeking various financial records after former Trump attorney Michael Cohen told Congress that Trump had exaggerated the values of various assets on statements in order to get more advantageous terms for loans and for tax purposes. Earlier this month, James’s office requested the daily fines and argued that Trump should be held in contempt for failing to meet a March 31 deadline to turn over documents. Trump attorney Alina Habba argued that any materials that Trump had not turned over were in the possession of the Trump organization, not Trump personally.

Justice: Left-Wing Group Demands Apple Preemptively Nuke Truth Social
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) sent a four-page letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook on Wednesday urging the American tech executive to nuke former President Donald Trump’s new platform, Truth Social, from its digital marketplace despite no violations of company guidelines. “The events of January 6, 2021 highlighted not only democracy’s vulnerabilities, but also the risks associated with the current ecosystem of online speech,” wrote CREW President Noah Bookbinder in the letter. “Every company that now enters into business with Trump must recognize that it is essentially endorsing this dangerous and anti-democratic conduct.” With not a single post from the entire platform cited or a single company policy violated to justify the app’s removal, Bookbinder argued Truth Social’s association with Trump was enough reason alone to ban the product from the Apple marketplace.

Blankley: U.S. Supreme Court to hear arguments seeking reinstatement of Remain in Mexico policy
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt are heading to the U.S. Supreme Court again on Tuesday, arguing the Biden administration must follow federal law and fully reinstate the Migrant Protection Protocols, otherwise known as the Remain in Mexico policy. It’s the second time they’ve argued before the court in a lawsuit they filed against the administration since last April. Last August, the Supreme Court rejected the administration’s request to stay a lower court’s ruling requiring it to reinstate the MPP.

Supreme Court justices have temporarily reinstated a woke admissions policy at one of America’s top schools despite a federal judge previously ruling it was racist. The high court did not explain its order Monday that allows the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology to continue using its admissions policy, while the Fairfax County School Board appeals the lower court’s February ruling. Fairfax County School Board changed its admissions policy in the wake of the killing of George Floyd in May 2020 to boost ‘equity’ at the school. Black and Hispanic students made up a very small portion of the student body. That has now changed – but Asian-American parents say it has come at the expense of their children, and that it is racist. […] Justices Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas said they would have granted the request from the parents’ group, Coalition for TJ, to suspend the admissions policy.

A judge indicated Monday that he will grant over 20 Republican attorney’s general request for a pause on the Biden’s administration’s decision to end Title 42, according to the judge’s notes that were obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. “For reasons stated on the record, the Court announced its intent to grant the motion. The parties will confer regarding the specific terms to be contained in the Temporary Restraining Order and attempt to reach agreement,” Judge Robert R. Summerhays noted.

Lendrum: Utah Democrats Vote to Ditch Nominee, Back Evan McMullin for Senate Instead
On Saturday, the Utah Democratic Party voted to jettison its own nominee and instead throw its support behind independent candidate Evan McMullin in the race for the state’s U.S. Senate seat this November. CNN reports that, at the party’s occasionally chaotic convention, delegates voted by a margin of 57 percent to 43 percent in favor of the motion, rejecting Democratic candidate and former State Department official Kael Weston and officially endorsing McMullin. This will be the first statewide election in Utah’s modern history where the Democrats did not run a candidate in the general election.
[…] A former CIA agent, McMullin first made a name for himself as a leading figure of the failed Never Trump movement, running for president as an independent candidate in his home state of Utah in 2016; he garnered just under 22 percent of the vote in the state, at roughly 240,000 total votes, behind Hillary Clinton’s 27 percent. In the overall election, McMullin received just 730,000 votes nationwide, amounting to half of one percent.

What are we to make of a comment Monday from Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin that the Biden administration’s goal in Ukraine is “to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine”? Austin made the remark in a press conference with Secretary of State Antony Blinken after the pair met with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, in what was the highest level visit by U.S. officials since Russia invaded Ukraine in late February. One obvious conclusion we can draw from Austin’s comment is that the Biden administration has now committed openly to a policy of escalation in Ukraine. The White House intends to keep the war in Ukraine alive, with the stated goal of weakening Moscow by continuing to pour new and more advanced weaponry into the war-ravaged country. […] We can’t know what will happen exactly, only that if the United States continues down this path — sending Ukraine increasingly advanced weapons systems, training Ukrainian troops, underwriting Ukraine’s defense — it will lead, as it has already led, to ever-increasing U.S. involvement in the war. At some point, it won’t matter that back in March President Biden said he wouldn’t send U.S. troops to Ukraine. The logic of U.S. escalation is already at work, moving us toward direct engagement. […] To bring it back to Defense Secretary Austin’s remark about the U.S. wanting to see Russia “weakened” to the point it cannot field a military capable of invading a much smaller country, one has to ask: how does Russia, a country with the largest nuclear arsenal in the world, get weakened to that point? Do Austin and his generals really think that a U.S.-backed Ukraine is going to be able to do that? Or do they have something else in mind? The evidence suggests they have something else in mind, and that something else is direct U.S. and NATO involvement.

In 2013, PolitiFact awarded Obama its Lie of the Year award for repeatedly promising the American people that “if you like your health care plan, you can keep it.” Obama made this false claim repeatedly as he promoted his signature piece of legislation: the “Affordable Care Act.” After its passage, millions of Americans were sent cancellation letters from their insurance companies. Nonetheless, Obama, the decorated 2013 liar of the year, stood behind the podium at Stanford and admonished, “You just have to flood a country’s public square with enough raw sewage. You just have to raise enough questions, spread enough dirt, plant enough conspiracy theorizing, that citizens no longer know what to believe.” Obama was right, except that it’s Democrats like himself who have flooded our country’s public square with raw sewage.

[…] Kim Jong Un has reportedly ghosted the Biden regime despite its repeated attempts at contact, after the historic negotiations of the Trump years brought the U.S. and North Korea together for a first-ever summit. The Hunter/Joe Biden scandal isn’t going away. We just filed a FOIA lawsuit against the U.S. State Department for messages sent through the SMART (State Messaging and Archive Retrieval Toolkit) system that mention Hunter Biden (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:22-cv-01066)).
We sued after State failed to reply to a February 11, 2022, FOIA request for: All cables/teletypes and email messages sent via the SMART system that reference Hunter Biden, excluding any records that consist solely of media articles or compilations. […] In December 2020, we uncovered Obama-era State Department records showing that the Ukraine prosecutor general was pitched “high-level” access to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign by a firm linked to Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy firm. We also uncovered records showing that former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie “Masha” Yovanovitch had specifically warned in 2017 about corruption allegations against Burisma Holdings. During her November 2019 testimony in the impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump, Yovanovitch told lawmakers that she knew little about Burisma.

Francis’ goal is the stripping down of the Roman Rite to a Bauhaus like austerity. Francis, the iconoclast, is well on his way to relegating the Traditional Latin Mass to an archival footnote in Church history, and now it seems he has taken aim at a little congregation of traditionalist nuns in Fairfield, Pennsylvania. […] Enter Pope Francis, who in 2016 authored a document, Vultum Dei quaerere, a design plan to overhaul cloistered women’s communities. Francis’ revolutionary screed was followed by 2018 document released by the Vatican’s Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, titled Cor Orans (‘praying heart’), which would give control of a monastery to a religious federation outside the community. Cor Orans grants Vatican henchmen generous oversight into the daily life of the Carmelites, which of course would spell doom for the 25 nuns (soon to be 27) and their Traditionalist lifestyle.
