NOTABLE QUOTES

Patricia McCarthy contributor to American Thinker wrote: Bottom line. American is no longer a free country. Our elections are not free and fair. Our formerly most trusted law enforcement agencies have been proven corrupt. And with this new administration’s overt authoritarianism made so evident in just three weeks, we should all make plans to survive what is to come. It will not be pretty nor will it be constitutional. It will be tyrannous. It is coming.

Gavin Wax contributor to American Greatness wrote: Republican or Democrat, well-intentioned or not, any federal politician proposing new policies or laws to “unify” America either should be ignored or resisted energetically. That’s not because unity is an unworthy or unworkable goal. Quite the contrary. The reality is, the federal government is a consolidating force, not a unifying one. An effective federal government is the consequence of unity, not the source of it.

Lee Smith journalist and author, in an interview regarding the second Trump impeachment, said: It is not about Trump. It’s about punishing the American voters. ‘We’ll tell you who to vote for.’ This is what happened in 2016, right? This is what Russiagate was about. ‘How dare you not vote for Hillary Clinton? … Because you didn’t, we’re going to make you feel pain. We’re going to use the president you elected as a mechanism.

Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL.): Someone said, Hey, you were at the Super Bowl without a mask. But how the hell am I going to be able to drink a beer with a mask on? Come on. I had to watch the Bucs win.

THE STOLEN 2020 ELECTION: DJT WAS RIGHT

Vadum: The Anti-Trump Election Conspiracy Goes Public
Time magazine provides a full confession. […] The shadow campaign, which was like a huge ACORN-style operation on steroids, “drew energy” from the Black Lives Matter-Antifa riots, which Ball describes as mere “racial-justice protests.” The effort eventually “reached across the aisle, into the world of Trump-skeptical Republicans appalled by his attacks on democracy,” she writes, assuming her readers agree with her baseless assertion that Trump attacked democracy. A “Protect the Results” coalition was ready to riot on a moment’s notice. “The group’s now defunct website had a map listing 400 planned postelection demonstrations, to be activated via text message as soon as Nov. 4. To stop the coup they feared, the left was ready to flood the streets.” […] The work of these “democracy campaigners,” as Ball calls them, “touched every aspect of the election.” […] Among the co-conspirators Ball identifies are the AFL-CIO, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Business Roundtable. Strangely, George Soros and Tom Steyer are left out of the article. Other groups participating in the conspiracy were: National Association of Evangelicals; National African American Clergy Network; National Council on Election Integrity; Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights; Voting Rights Lab; and IntoAction. In addition “More than 150 liberal groups, from the Women’s March to the Sierra Club to Color of Change, from Democrats.com to the Democratic Socialists of America, joined the ‘Protect the Results’ coalition.” The overall anti-Trump effort in 2020 was led by Mike Podhorzer, a senior adviser to the president of the AFL-CIO, according to Ball. […] Remnants of the ACORN voter fraud network worked to steal the election for Biden.

(Joe was in on the steal.) FLASHBACK: Fordham: Biden says in video he has created ‘voter fraud organization’
Democratic nominee Joe Biden said his team has created “the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics” in a recent video. “We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics,” Biden said in the video.

GOP

Sundance: Another DeceptiCon Taps Out, Senator Richard Shelby (AL) Announces He Will Not Run for Reelection
The number of republican senators not running for reelection just gained another name today. Senators Richard Burr (NC), Ron Johnson (WI), Pat Toomey (PA), and Rob Portman (OH) previously stated they were not going to seek reelection; now Senator Richard Shelby (AL) makes the same announcement.
They know the American electorate can see both wings of the UniParty vulture now. In the 2022 Senate races there are 34 seats up for grabs. 14 are held by Democrats and 20 are held by tenuous Republicans. [Breakdown Here] Due to vulnerability, their lack of support amid the republican base, and their insufferable 2020 behavior outing them as DeceptiCons it is almost guaranteed the GOP will lose seats in the 2022 mid-term election.

LOSING OUR FREEDOM: THE REALITY TO COME

Horvat: When No One Knows What Freedom Is, All Is Lost
In our polarized nation, no other word causes so much confusion as freedom. Everyone claims to fight for freedom. Each side in the political debate claims the other is an enemy of freedom. And yet, it seems we have less and less freedom. We have lost the meaning of the word. When no one knows what freedom is, it becomes whatever we want it to be. Each side understands it in a different sense and thus plays by different rules. The resulting chaos is tearing our nation apart. In his excellent book, The Cunning of Freedom: Saving the Self in an Age of False Idols, the Polish philosopher Ryszard Legutko defines two classical types of freedom. These distinctions do much to explain our present plight both on the right and the left. One category is negative and the other positive. The two are not necessarily contradictory and are generally complementary. However, when distorted and misunderstood, the two can cause conflicts like those we now see. […] Freedom is only a means, not an end. It only works when people have a sense of right and wrong. It has meaning when we follow the first and most basic principle of the natural law written on the hearts of all: do good and avoid evil. Freedom involves moral acts and therefore presupposes natural law and Divine assistance. If we ignore this aspect, we will be delivered to our obsessions and manias.

Adams: If You Thought the 2020 Elections Were Chaotic, Just Wait
H.R.1 packs into one 791-page bill every bad idea about how to run elections and mandates that the states must adopt — the very things that made the election of 2020 such a mess. It includes all of the greatest hits of 2020: Mandatory mail ballots, ballots without postmarks, late ballots and voting in precincts where you don’t live. It includes so many bad ideas that no publication has satisfactory space to cover all of them. The Senate companion bill, S.1, might be even worse. […] […] H.R.1 rigs the system for any lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of the law. All lawsuits can only be filed in one court — federal court in the District of Columbia. And all opposition must be consolidated into one brief with only one attorney being able to argue the merits. It also grants automatic intervention to any legislators who want to join in the fight against the lone opposition. It prohibits states from conducting list maintenance on the voter rolls. That means deadwood and obsolete registrations will stack up. Universal automatic voter registration has, for years, been a top priority of the institutional left. In fact, H.R.1 would do away with actual voter registration and instead make the voter rolls merely a copy of anyone already on a government list — such as welfare recipients and other social service beneficiaries. The bills would expand well beyond to federal entities like the Social Security Administration, Department of Defense, Customs and Immigration, and elements of Health and Human Services. Naturally, a giant federal database would serve as the home for this list of people who must be automatically registered to vote, whether they know it or not.

Malvasi: The State of the Union
Americans like to think of their country as unique. For a time it was. Americans were the first people to declare their independence from a European power. By 1826, within fifty years of the Declaration of Independence, most of the former colonies in the Western Hemisphere had done so. Within two hundred years, most of the former colonies throughout Asia and Africa had also become independent. At the moment of its founding in 1789 (not in 1776), the United States was the only democratic republic in the world. Less than a century later, it no longer enjoyed that exclusive status. It is ironic, even paradoxical, that American influence spread throughout the world just as the United States was becoming less distinctive. […] Ours, by contrast, is a farcical and absurd age. We have become in many respects a superficial, immature, and frivolous people for whom even the most serious matters soon enough come to resemble a mindless charade. We regard play acting as reality and dismiss reality as a sham. Millions embrace preposterous conspiracy theories and deny obvious truths. The minds and imaginations of children, and of adults who think like children, are enthralled by wizards and demons, superheros and monsters, magic, sorcery, and the paranormal. Because the mechanical worldview and progressive ideology of the Enlightenment, the foolish yet resolute conviction that the world is rational, no longer works, the United States cannot avoid the rot that a century ago had begun to torment Europe. Richard Weaver, among the most discerning critics and neglected prophets of our time, understood as much when he wrote: . . . […] The coming reality may be even worse than the experts imagine. If it is, the literary forebear will not be George Orwell but Franz Kafka. In the world Kafka imagined there is no order or stability at all. Human beings cannot find coherence or meaning in life. They suffer oppression, injustice, and cruelty as a matter of course. Their ordeal constitutes . . .

CHNIA: AMERICA’S MORTAL ENEMY

Schweizer: Chasing the Dragon
On his first full day in office, President Joe Biden signed a massive executive order that, among other things, killed the Keystone XL pipeline project. Buried in that same order were two short sentences that will allow the Chinese government to get into the American electrical grid.
Located at Section 7(c), the order reverses a previous directive by the Trump administration last May, which found that “foreign adversaries are increasingly creating and exploiting vulnerabilities in the United States bulk-power system, which provides the electricity that supports our national defense, vital emergency services, critical infrastructure, economy, and way of life.” [Emphasis added.] The Biden order on its surface suspends the previous order for 90 days and directs the US Secretary of Energy and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to determine whether it should be replaced. In practice, suspending the rule launches a window of opportunity for Chinese businesses to sell equipment into the US market for bulk-power systems, the crucial infrastructure that stores and delivers electrical power to the entire country. Bulk-power systems refer to everything from electric power substations, transformers, high-voltage power lines, capacitors, and other equipment necessary to move electrical power from plants where it is produced to end users, whether for civilian, government, or military use. These systems are, of course, highly computerized and the Trump administration’s goal was to prevent the Chinese, America’s greatest geo-political and economic rival, from having their hands in it. Biden’s order strips that protection with the stroke of a pen.

Winters: Biden Quietly Revokes Trump’s Ban On Chinese Communist Propaganda In Schools
The policy – “Establishing Requirement for Student and Exchange Visitor Program Certified Schools to Disclose Agreements with Confucius Institutes and Classrooms” – was proposed on December 31st, 2020. “The rule would require colleges and K-12 schools that are certified to have foreign exchange programs to disclose any contracts, partnerships, or financial transactions from Confucius Institutes or Classrooms (the Confucius Institute offshoot for primary and secondary schools),” Axios noted. And the Trump administration’s proposals were well-warranted: . . . Records from the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, however, reveal that Biden nixed the policy on January 26 . . .

Biden’s CIA Pick Was President Of Think Tank That Took Millions From Chinese Communist Party-Tied Entities: Report
President Joe Biden’s nominee to be the next director of the CIA, William Burns, was the president of a think tank that reportedly took millions of dollars from entities linked to the Chinese Communist Party. “As president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Burns also invited nearly a dozen congressional staffers to attend a junket to China, where they met with a communist party operative and a president of a Chinese front group,” The Daily Caller News Foundation reported. “Burns, who was paid $540,580 last year as president of Carnegie, will appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee for a confirmation hearing likely to be held this month.” Burns, who has been president of the think tank for nearly six years, . . .

Robbins: How ‘Socio-Emotional Learning’ Became Another Vehicle For Anti-White Racism In Schools
Parents normally send their children to school (or park them at the computer for pretend school) to learn academic disciplines, including English, math, science, and history. But in most public and some private schools, more and more time is being redirected from academic instruction to “social-emotional learning” (SEL)—the cultivation not of knowledge but of the “correct” attitudes, beliefs, opinions, and behaviors. If this weren’t worrisome enough to parents who thought that is their job, SEL proponents such as the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) are now brazenly trumpeting an even more troubling aspect of SEL: the opportunity to turn impressionable students into leftist activists. To some extent, socio-emotional learning has always been a vehicle for introducing leftist propaganda in the classroom. CASEL counts among its funding partners the NoVo Foundation, which is “dedicated to . . . moving [society] from a culture of domination to one of equality and partnership.” NoVo focuses especially on abortion rights, LGBT interests, and left-wing economics. Other SEL enthusiast groups include . . .

Clark: Mellon Foundation Shells Out $72 Million In ‘Anti-Racist’ Curriculum Grants
According to the Mellon Foundation’s website, 16 “multidisciplinary, university-based teams across the US who are committed to racial justice and social equality” received up to five million dollars to work on “anti-racist” projects. Projects were supposed to be “ambitious” and address racial inequality in “bold and imaginative ways.” The Mellon Foundation is the largest funder of the arts and humanities in the United States. The organization has a total endowment of nearly $7 trillion. One of the winners, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, proposed creating a curriculum to advance “anti-racist” pedagogy in science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine (STEMM) The University of Michigan offered the most controversial proposal — addressing and offering . . .

CLIMATE CRISIS: IT’S POLITICAL

Delingpole: Study Disputes That Earth Is in a ‘Climate Emergency’
There is no “climate emergency”, according to a study for the Global Warming Policy Foundation by independent scientist Dr Indur Goklany. Goklany concludes: While climate may have changed for the warmer: • Most extreme weather phenomena have not become more extreme, more deadly, or more destructive. • Empirical evidence directly contradicts claims that increased carbon dioxide has reduced human wellbeing. In fact, human wellbeing has never been higher. • Whatever detrimental effects warming and higher carbon dioxide may have had on terrestrial species and ecosystems, they have been swamped by the contribution of fossil fuels to increased biological productivity. This has halted, and turned around, reductions in habitat loss. The report will make hugely depressing reading for all the prominent environmental activists — from the . .
