Trunsky: California Cannot Enforce Coronavirus-Related Restrictions On Indoor Worship, Supreme Court Rules
The 6-3 ruling, issued just before 11 p.m., consisted of four separate statements by the justices outlining what relief each would have granted to the churches that had sued. Despite the splintered rulings, a majority of the court was willing to lift California’s ban on indoor services while remaining other, more specific restrictions in place. Justices Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch opted to grant all of the churches’ requests, including lifting the bans on singing and chanting and the restrictions that enforce a 25% capacity at most indoor places of worship. […] Justice Samuel Alito was mostly in agreement, saying . . . Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh, however, took a more middle-ground approach, writing . . . The courts’ three liberals dissented, arguing that lifting the restrictions and putting the court’s judgement before that of California public health officials was unwise.

The regime has long viewed the automated car sector as a key growth area, and its spies have stolen trade secrets from Tesla and other car companies to boost its own development.

Fang: During Pandemic, China Sent Millions of Counterfeit Masks, Test Kits to US: Customs Data
China accounted for about 51 percent of counterfeit or substandard COVID-19-related products seized by U.S. customs officials from October 2019 to Sept. 30 last year, according to a newly-released report from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Among the products seized by U.S. customs officials were over 12.7 million counterfeit masks, 177,356 COVID-19 test kits prohibited by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and 38,098 FDA-prohibited chloroquine tablets.

(ARIZONA) Neff: Maricopa County Supervisors Sue Again To Invalidate Legislative Subpoenas
A second lawsuit has been filed by Maricopa County’s Board of Supervisors (BOS) over their objections to two legislative subpoenas connected to the 2020 General Election. The civil complaint filed Friday in Maricopa County Superior Court recognizes the authority of the State Senate to issue subpoenas and to require compliance with those subpoenas. But that authority does not include “sham legislative subpoenas,” according to the 33-page lawsuit supported by seven exhibits. “The Maricopa County Plaintiffs respect the Arizona legislature, including both the Arizona Senate and the Arizona House of Representatives, and recognize their authority to issue subpoenas and to insist that all parties comply with lawful subpoenas,” the lawsuit states.
