NOTABLE QUOTES

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) in a Just the News interview said: The same people who tell me that fences don’t work on the border want to have this fence and turn the Capitol into a military compound. So we don’t know of any existing, emergent threat to the Capitol, but we do know of an existing, emergent threat to our nation through the border, people crossing the border illegally that are coming across.

Don Feder contributor to Frontpage Magazine wrote: The same people who told us that refusing to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance was patriotic are now telling us that complaining about election fraud is treason.

Michael Devon contributor to American Thinker wrote: So, what are you and your family’s first steps as this barbed wire curtain swiftly envelops our formerly constitutional Republic? (We do not have a constitutional Republic while there are still thousands military troops occupying our nation’s capital. We are now enduring a Kabuki government as we are being force-fed a well-crafted MSM fantasy of a lawfully and joyously elected national presidency.)

Helen Roy contributor to American Mind wrote: American technocrats see people and all of their most essential roles, from parent to citizen, as fungible. The most important thing that everyone fails to offer American families is a clear vision for what family is, and what role it and its members play in the broader political picture. Contrary to neoliberal consensus, it is not a training ground for the workforce.

Melanie Zanona & Olivia Beavers writing for Politico: Cheney’s victory also represents a big win for House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who at the start of the “family discussion” offered a full-throated defense of Cheney and made the case for her to stay in leadership — a critical boost for the Wyoming Republican

PRESIDENT TRUMP

Cortez: ‘The Navarro Report’ should be the cornerstone of the Trump defense
As I studied these bizarre returns at Trump campaign headquarters, and after decades building statistical trading models for the largest banks and hedge funds in the world, my mind fixated on the utter improbability of the results. My intuitive suspicions soon found numerical validation. […] As I have parsed and pondered this statistical impossibility over the last 60 days, my most valuable resource has been the three volumes of the Navarro Report published by the former White House assistant to the president and Harvard PhD economist. Mr. Navarro’s reports are highly sourced with hundreds of citations from thousands of documents, including court filings, county election results, and sworn affidavits. He demonstrates unequivocally that election irregularities across six dimensions in the six most contested battleground states — Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — resulted in what he describes as election theft “by a thousand cuts.”

2020 ELECTION

Trejo: Michigan Election Officials are Ordered to Hand Over Records Of Communications with Tech Giants, Dominion Voting Systems
Michigan election officials are being ordered to hand over records of communications they had with tech giants such as Google and Facebook with regards to 2020 elections that were marred with credible fraud allegations. Antrim County Circuit Judge Kevin A. Elsenheimer is forcing Michigan election officials to produce all communications with Google, Facebook, Amazon and Apple related to the 2020 elections. Elsenheimer has also ordered Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and her Bureau of Elections to produce communications with Dominion Voting System and Election Source, the companies responsible for computerized voting systems in Antrim County and much of the state.

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME

VDH: When (or If) Comes the Pushback?
When Biden made a Faustian bargain with his party’s hard-left wing of Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) to win the election, he took on the commitment to absorb some of their agenda and to appoint their ideologues. But he also soon became either unwilling or unable to stand up to them. Now they—and the country—are in a revolutionary frenzy. The San Francisco school district has canceled over 40 schools honoring the nation’s best—Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln—largely on racist grounds that they are dead, mostly white males.
Statues continue to fall. Names change. […] If Trump’s pushback tried to return to traditions ignored during the Obama years, Biden’s reset promises to become far more radical than Obama’s entire eight years. Trump likely lost his second pushback term for two reasons—neither of which had anything to do with his reset agenda.

Barkoukis: Senate Democrat Breaks With Biden on Keystone, Urges President to Reconsider
“This project has the potential to support thousands of good paying jobs, increase tax revenue into local communities, and support a safer, more efficient alternative to transporting fossil fuel by truck or railroad,” Tester wrote in a letter to Biden this week. “The completion of the Keystone XL Pipeline would be a powerful economic driver for Montana. I continue to support this project as long it is built to the highest safety standards, uses American steel, respects private property rights, and includes robust consultation with Tribes.” The Montana Democrat believes “adjustments” can be made to hold the pipeline to the highest safety and environmental standards.

Greenfield: Critical Race Theory is How Democrats Plan to Win Elections
Liberal critics of critical race theory often act as if it’s a mysterious cult that emerged out of nowhere, while its conservative critics tie it to a history of academic Marxism. That’s true, but doesn’t explain why it has suddenly become so pervasively established in our culture. Politics can be downstream of culture, but political culture is downstream of politics. The resurrection of black nationalism and critical race theory are two faces of the same electoral strategy by a political movement now inextricably tied to black voters and white elites. […] The 2020 election pitted economic fears based on globalism against economic fears based on political correctness among the white middle class. And while President Trump won the white middle class, enough of those suburban moms reading White Fragility voted their new creed. The secret of brainwashing is that the best way to feign belief in something is to believe it. […] Republicans have failed to reckon with critical race theory, not just as a set of ideas to rail against, but as an electoral reality.

SAUL ALINSKY: PICK THE TARGET, FREEZE IT, PERSONALIZE IT, AND POLARIZE IT (WHO WILL BE NEXT?)

Tobin: Why Democrats Will Never Stop Talking About ‘Insurrection’
As their choice of language, the broad scope of their accusations, and the measures beyond impeachment that they are considering as a response indicate, Democrats have more ambitious goals than further shaming or disqualifying Trump from a future presidential run. The rhetorical inflation of a dangerous riot by a mob to a full-blown “insurrection” is more than political hyperbole. By retroactively transforming the riot at the Capitol into an armed rebellion conducted by white supremacists and then linking it to not just Trump but to everyone who attended his Jan. 6 rally, supported his questioning of the 2020 election results or even those who voted for him, the goal to the exercise is more far-reaching than most GOP officeholders still seem to understand. What Trump’s opponents have done is to launch a campaign that seeks to treat the “insurrection” as not just the fitting culmination of the Trump administration but the prism through which to view the Republican Party as disloyal, authoritarian, and violent.

Key: Ilhan Omar: Republican Base Is Now ‘Cowards,’ ‘Grifters,’ ‘Looney Tunes’
Discussing calls to remove her from committees, Hayes asked, “Did you expect that you would be pulled into this? Because you have become kind of a go-to figure in these moments for the Republican Party.” Omar said, “Sadly, this is the Republican playbook. We saw it with Donald Trump. Any time they are faced with consequences for their actions to undermine our democracy, they blame Muslims, they blame immigrants, they blame Black people, they blame women. I just happen to embody all of these identities. […] Omar said, “The Republicans truly have lost their way. Their party is destroyed. Their base now is conspiracy theorists. It’s cowards, it’s opportunists, it’s grifters, and sadly they’re becoming the Looney Tunes. These are people we can’t take serious.

CHINA: AMERICA’S MORTAL ENEMY

Boyle: Exclusive — Sen. Bill Hagerty: ‘China Is Singing All the Way to the Bank’ Thanks to Joe Biden’s Policies
Hagerty, in an exclusive interview on Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM 125 the Patriot Channel, said that Biden’s orders closing down the Keystone XL pipeline and shutting down leases for drilling on federal lands embolden China and undermine the United States. “Broadly look at what the Biden Administration is doing on energy,” Hagerty said. “By canceling the Keystone XL pipeline, Biden is giving a huge gift to China. Look at what it did to Canada. If Canada can’t move their oil through the XL pipeline, they’re going to sell it to China. Well, guess what? China now has a huge store of oil headed its way courtesy of the Biden administration. And this Paris Climate Accord that they want to get back into? That’s going to put an immediate burden on the U.S. economy. China is not going to have to comply anywhere in the near term. Theirs was the only economy that grew last year. Ours didn’t. They’re going to put more burden on us while China is singing all the way to the bank thanks to the Biden administration. So we have some real reasons to be concerned.” The Chinese have another friend in Biden’s selection for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas Greenfield, Hagerty said. A speech that Greenfield gave to a Confucius Institute event in 2019 that surfaced last week saw her…

Hayward: China Built Three Times as Much Coal Power in 2020 as the Rest of the World Combined
As Voice of America News (VOA) delicately observed, this tremendous surge of coal-burning power plants, which are ostensibly one of the worst sources of global warming emissions, would seem to “undermine” China’s loudly declared “short-term climate goals” and Chinese dictator Xi Jinping’s promises to make his country “carbon-neutral” by 2060.

PEACEFULLY & PATRIOTICALLY MAKE OUR VOICES HEARD

Widburg: North Carolina’s Lt. Governor shows how to fight back against a corrupt media
In 2018, Mark Robinson stood up before the city council in Greensboro, North Carolina, and gave an impassioned defense of the Second Amendment. That video went viral and led to him entering politics. Last year, Robinson became North Carolina’s Republican Lieutenant Governor. This year, when a local paper published a cartoon calling the entire North Carolina Republican party a KKK entity, Robinson (who is black) ferociously attacked the newspaper for its dishonesty and ignorance. He needs to give master classes in handling the media.

Jacobs: If You Think The Riots Are Bad Now, Wait Until America Goes Bankrupt In A Few Years
Two data points explain the current debate in Washington on more rounds of COVID spending. The Biden administration’s repeated statements that “the risk is not…going too small, but…going not big enough” reflects a position Joe Biden publicly articulated while serving in the Obama administration a dozen years ago: As to the cumulative effects of these policies, the budget resolution itself tells the tale, with its projected estimates of the total national debt over the coming decade: . . . To provide some sense of perspective, the most recent gross domestic product estimates show the size of the American economy at $21.5 trillion on an annual basis. In other words, our total national debt (including IOUs placed in the Medicare and Social Security Trust Funds) already exceeds the size of our economy. A decade from now—after an additional $13.6 trillion in deficits under the Democrat budget—our debt will approach twice the size of our economy now. Contra Biden circa 2009, that’s not “spending money to keep from going bankrupt”—that’s already bankrupt. […] Three Inconvenient Truths Daniels cited the “noble lies” that politicians have used over the years to avoid making necessary but unpopular fiscal choices. To correct three of the most popular misnomers: . . .
