NOTABLE QUOTES

Thaddeus  McCotter contributor to American Greatness: Now ponder our Pravda media. It is also an industry, manufacturing “content” and bent on shaping and changing American public opinion. Yet, in this age of the democratization of information, the corporate media is facing pressure from what they deem to be unfair competition that must be stopped through government and industry action. That competition is you; and you must be silenced.

Josiah Lippincott contributor to American Greatness describes the Biden regime’s war against the American  people: Ritual humiliation is the point. The agents of state power see themselves as the rightful masters of the people. To these creatures of the institutions, citizens are nothing but human resources to be bent to their malformed will.

Roger Kimball contributor to American Greatness: Something to keep in mind about January 6 is when the Soothsayer came to warn Caesar about the Ides of March, he wasn’t warning about a conspiracy theory. He was warning about a conspiracy in fact

PRESIDENT TRUMP

Vakil: Trump bashes Senate Republicans, McConnell over infrastructure bill
“How about all of those Republican Senators that voted thinking that helping the Democrats is such a wonderful thing to do, so politically correct. They just don’t get it!” Trump said. On Friday, House Democrats finally managed to vote on the bipartisan infrastructure bill by a 228-206 tally to send a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill to President Biden’s desk.

Bovard: How 13 Republicans Just Betrayed The Country To Reward Illegal Immigration, Worsen Inflation, And Pay Off Democrats’ Donors
A vote for the bipartisan infrastructure bill is a vote for Biden’s reconciliation legislation — the largest cradle-to-grave expansion of federal power since the New Deal. […] . . . to claim that a vote for the infrastructure legislation was merely a vote for “roads and bridges,” devoid of any other major political context, is just willfully ignorant of the obvious and openly stated politics at work. A vote for the infrastructure bill was very clearly a vote for the reconciliation legislation. The inability to understand this reality raises not only questions of basic political acumen, but of the ability of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s leadership team to hold their conference together on consequential votes. It’s worth unpacking a few of the provisions in the reconciliation bill that this group of Republicans will help make possible. Among them: . . . […]  Regardless, the infrastructure bill now goes to the president’s desk. Eighteen Republican senators helped pass it in August, and so did 13 House Republicans, knowing full well they were also voting on the amnesty-filled, abortion-funding, financially-snooping, cheap-labor loving reconciliation bill, gave it the required boost. Betrayal, as Klein noted, is not too strong a term.

BIDEN’S UNCONSTITUTIONAL VACCINE MANDATE

Vincent: US appeals court blocks Biden’s federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate
A federal appeals court has blocked the Biden administration’s latest COVID-19 vaccination mandate, giving the government until Monday afternoon to submit a response. An emergency stay, issued Saturday from the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, prevents the White House from requiring all full and part-time workers at private-sector companies with 100 or more employees to be vaccinated or get tested weekly. In its decision, the court cited “grave statutory and constitutional” concerns about the government’s mandate, which is scheduled to take effect on January 4.

NCBI: SARS–CoV–2 Spike Impairs DNA Damage Repair and Inhibits V(D)J Recombination In Vitro
Our findings provide evidence of the spike protein hijacking the DNA damage repair machinery and adaptive immune machinery in vitro. We propose a potential mechanism by which spike proteins may impair adaptive immunity by inhibiting DNA damage repair. Although no evidence has been published that SARS–CoV–2 can infect thymocytes or bone marrow lymphoid cells, our in vitro V(D)J reporter assay shows that the spike protein intensely impeded V(D)J recombination. […]  This work will improve the understanding of COVID–19 pathogenesis and provide new strategies for designing more efficient and safer vaccines.

Shen: Over half of employees would report a coworker for violating vaccine mandates, study says
Most employees favor President Joe Biden’s efforts to mandate COVID-19 vaccines for employees at large companies, and many workers would consider reporting a co-worker for violating the vaccine rules, a new study suggests. […]  A study published Wednesday by Qualtrics surveyed 1,309 employees to see how they would feel about vaccine mandates and how it would shape workplace culture. Overall, the survey found the majority of employees (58%) support the executive order mandating vaccinations in some workplaces. And over half (55%) of employees would consider reporting a co-worker for violating the rules (23% would strongly consider reporting and 45% would not consider reporting a co-worker).

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING AMERICA

Kredo: Biden Admin Amassing Millions of Records on US Gun Owners Amid New Crackdown on Firearms
The Biden administration in just the past year alone stockpiled the records of more than 54 million U.S. gun owners and is poised to drastically alter gun regulations to ensure that information on Americans who own firearms ultimately ends up in the federal government’s hands, according to internal Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. The ATF in fiscal year 2021 processed 54.7 million out-of-business records, according to an internal ATF document obtained by the Gun Owners of America, a firearms advocacy group, and provided exclusively to the Free Beacon. When a licensed gun store goes out of business, its private records detailing gun transactions become ATF property and are stored at a federal site in West Virginia. This practice allows the federal government to stockpile scores of gun records and has drawn outrage from gun advocacy groups that say the government is using this information to create a national database of gun owners—which has long been prohibited under U.S. law.

Daily Wire News: DeSantis Moves To Stop Biden Admin From Flying Illegal Aliens Into Florida After Alleged Murder
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) said late this week that he would work with the state legislature to figure out what they can do to stop illegal aliens from being flown into the state of Florida by the Biden administration. DeSantis’ comments came in response to news reports this week that an illegal alien in his mid-twenties posed as an unaccompanied minor at the border, was let into the U.S., and then allegedly murdered a father-of-four in Florida.
