He cannot enforce it, and so the federal government has tried to ‘back door‘ a national vaccine mandate by pushing corporations to do their dirty work. With the widespread public furor about whether the Supreme Court will overturn its more-than-landmark 1973 abortion decision in Roe v. Wade, it is necessary to recognize that the Supreme Court’s abortion decisions, in their content and in their judicial methods, are without precedent in American jurisprudential, political, social, cultural, and moral history. For last 48 years—that is, 20 percent of our history—no other issue, public or private, has divided and polarized the country and the Court as its decision in Roe v. Wade. In its petition to the Supreme Court filed in July, the state of Mississippi has boldly attacked the two fundamental Supreme Court abortion decisions, Roe v. Wade (1973) and Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992), as “egregiously wrong” because the Constitution, while protecting “aspects of privacy,” does not provide for a “general right of privacy.” In addition, the Court’s line of abortion cases and their standards of review, Mississippi says, have proven to be administratively “unworkable” in state attempts to enact their own abortion laws. And overall, the Court’s abortion decisions have undermined “democratic self-governance,” and thus have “harmed the nation.” The case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, has now been set for oral argument on December 1. This essay expands on some of the arguments enunciated by Mississippi and offers additional rationales for the overturning of Roe. The dominant theme herein is not merely “constitutional” in the sense of case law, but “constitutional” in the sense of the basic premises and practices of American government and common public life. There are at least eight reasons to overturn Roe v. Wade. First, there is the sharpest dichotomy, both in the facts and in the law, between what the Supreme Court thinks abortion is and what the state governments think. But third, and most important by far, the thing that ultimately renders our elections meaningless is people like Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Republican National Committee Chairman Ronna McDaniel and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. They are the most important allies in the conspiracy to steal our elections, precisely because we expect them to be fighting on our side. Fraudulent elections cost Republicans seats—cost Republicans the presidency—so why wouldn’t the most powerful people in the Republican Party be fighting just as hard as they could to expose fraud and pass laws requiring in-person voting with ID? Here’s the secret answer:These people hate you. Sure, they’re willing to pay lip service to America as a great nation, to churchgoing values, and so forth. But they’re really just Democrats with different special interests: They want to funnel all your money to military contractors instead of environmentalists. People like Donald Trump interfere with that. People like you interfere with that. Because you want the government to mind its own goddamned business. And, on that issue, Mitch McConnell is united with Senator Chuck Shumer (D-N.Y.) against you. These people live for power. They exist for the pleasure of . . . The United States Department of Human Health Services seems to be pushing for the sexualization of young children. According to the HHS website, children are in fact “sexual beings.” This revelation comes around the same time as a group of psychologists are pushing to decriminalize pedophilia. The combination could prove to be a recipe for trouble and for the loss of childhood innocence. In the “Questions and Answers About Sex” section of the HHS website’s “Quick Guide to Healthy Living,” children and infants are described as “sexual beings.” The site indicates: . . . […]  “The idea that ‘children are human beings and therefore sexual beings’ is one of the most destructive myths of the sexual revolution. To a large extent, this myth may be traced to the ‘research’ conducted by Alfred Kinsey, including the infamous ‘Children of Table 34’ experiments, which involved the deliberate sexual abuse of children as young as 6 months old under ‘experimental’ conditions. It has also influenced the laws against sexual molestation. Alfred Kinsey was a zoologist, most famous for his sex research in the 1940’s. What is less well known is his use of known pedophiles in his experiments with children. There is evidence to suggest that Kinsey’s scientific research into child sexuality was actually molestation. 4 and 5-yr-old siblings went to an Indiana Walgreens so the kids could get a flu shot. What happened next is truly a nightmare. According to the family attorney, both children were accidentally given adult doses of the Pfizer COVID vaccination. […] Action 5 News reports – The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is only approved for people ages 12 and older. However, the companies are seeking approval for use in children ages 5 to 11 with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. […]  The family said they left the pharmacy thinking they had received their flu shots, but a Walgreens employee later called them and said they had made a mistake. The attorney said the cards were then issued since the coronavirus vaccine had been given. Tuley said the children were to a pediatric cardiologist, and the family was told both were showing signs of heart issues.

Laila: Ohio Man’s Kidney Transplant Canceled Days Away From Scheduled Surgery Because Donor Wasn’t Vaxxed
Fully vaccinated Mike Ganin, 52, was just days away from his scheduled transplant surgery when he was informed by the Cleveland Clinic it was canceled because the donor was not vaccinated. Under the Cleveland Clinic’s new policy, the donor must be vaccinated against Covid in order to donate an organ.
Desperate to find a kidney donor after doctors said dialysis would no longer suffice, Debi Ganin took to Facebook to find a match for her husband. Debi pleaded for help in a Facebook post and sure enough she found a match for her husband after dozens of people offered to take a blood test. After finding a match and months of prep, the Ganins were told the transplant surgery was canceled due to a new policy.

Gates: Boeing will require all employees to be vaccinated, despite wary labor unions and conservative opposition
Boeing management told its U.S. employees in an internal message Tuesday that with limited exceptions they must be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Dec. 8 or face termination. “Compliance with these requirements is a condition of employment,” states a Boeing internal presentation viewed by The Seattle Times. “Employees who are unable to meet these requirements, and do not have an approved accommodation, by December 8 may be released from the company.” The policy will apply to roughly 125,000 employees in the U.S., about 57,000 of them in Washington state.

They mostly keep away from the idea conveyed by the word “malaise,” with which Jimmy Carter succinctly captured America’s weakening spirit and dwindling capacity during his hapless presidency. But a sense that the country is out of whack and needs to be restored is now widespread. One hears it wherever one goes, at least among those who love America.
