He told Rob Crilly of the Washington Examiner that “We’ll do something, but not just yet.” Trump was dining at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida when he made the comment. The comment was similar to what he said Wednesday morning in his last hours in office, just before leaving for Florida, when he said that he would be back “in some form.”

Winters: Biden Rescinds Trump Order Banning Chinese Communist Involvement In US Power Grid
President Biden has revoked a Trump-era executive order that sought to keep foreign countries and companies out of America’s bulk power systems – principally entities associated with the Chinese Communist Party – as part of his “Executive Order on Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis.” The executive order, which executes key tenets of President Biden’s climate change agenda, was released on the former Veep’s first day in office. Section 7 of the massive order, which includes the revocation of the permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline, also revokes several climate and energy-focused executive orders penned by the Trump administration. Don’t we remember how hipster Apple idealists once fought stodgy Microsoft? Or how liberal techies at Microsoft earlier took on dour, big blue, coat-and-tie IBM and “print” media? Surely, good Harvard drop-out tech revolutionaries cannot possibly have become bad, trillion-dollar corporate cartels? Serious Big Brother was never coming to America kicking and screaming in a suit and in a mile-long tie, but rather eagerly welcomed in with jeans and sneakers without socks. The First Amendment could always survive a crude, inebriated Joe McCarthy, but not so easily a social justice ex-barista, doing vanity selfies about diversity, egged on by the “progressive” media, while saving the planet, and “reining” in a hurtful, racist media. Wednesday marked the four-year anniversary of the Capitol Inauguration Day riots. That day, cars were set ablaze, rioters blocked a bridge. There were well more than 200 arrests and dozens of injuries. […] What began with suppression of cynical conspiracies quickly grew into suppression of inconvenient facts. What started as shadow-banning morphed into outright banning. Independent, outsider fact-checks became arbitrary and unexplained internal decisions. Eventually, legitimate scientific and political views pushing back on COVID mandates were targeted. As four years wrapped up, criticizing the riots and Russia hoax graduated to reporting on inconvenient primary documents that indicated corruption in the Biden family — none would be allowed. Thousands of people whose names few knew eventually became names like Alex Jones, and then became the third-largest newspaper in the country, all the way up to the person we once thought was the most powerful man in the world. It was an incredible display of power, and none of it came from our government. In fact, Trump’s White House seemed powerless to stop it. The Republican Senate alternated between toothless threats and shrugs to “free markets,” while elected Democrats and their media friends either openly cheered or remained silent. Silicon Valley’s courage has grown steadily as each step it took to silence and deplatform met weakness from the right and applause from the left.

Unlike Machiavelli, however, who conceded that wickedness is still wickedness even though it may sometimes be necessary, our 20th century revolution-makers held that wickedness (e.g., propaganda lies, mass murder) is not wicked if it contributes to the success of the revolution. On the contrary, it is virtuous. Little fascists patrol the public square looking for dissent to whatever contrived politically correct nonsense the cultural Marxists conjure up next. Members of Congress malign those who don’t submit to the left’s delusions as Hitler clones reborn, while the news media and tech behemoths goose-step right behind our Big Government overlords, finding new ways to demonize ordinary Americans who want nothing more than just to be left alone. And too many Republican Party officeholders (who were elected to fight the good fight) have hidden under their desks while the socialist monster grew, sprinted in the opposite direction far from the fields of battle, or already submitted their résumés and bona fides to the new Soviet class taking over. Our tormentors will not leave us alone. Worse, we know that our children and grandchildren will be fighting once again the battles we hoped would stay secured away in the past. To fight for freedom is no easy thing, and we are now painfully reminded that preserving freedom is just as hard. California is a political and financial stronghold for the progressive oligarchy that controls America. But California also has some unique characteristics that could result in it becoming a center of opposition to this progressive oligarchy. To begin, California has a critical mass of voters who understand exactly what they’re up against and will fight enthusiastically for change. California delivered 6 million votes for Trump in 2020, more than any other state. Texas, still a red state, only had 5.9 million Trump voters last year, and battleground Florida had only 5.8 million Trump voters. Within California, the Trump contingent may be a minority, but there is a hell of a lot of them, and they’ve all had it with Gavin Newsom and everything he represents. The Golden State has another advantage . . . […] Oligarchy in America, hiding in plain sight behind progressive nostrums, is approaching its high-water mark. Where will the tide turn first? Don’t be surprised if it’s in California. This is why the movement forming to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom may have been initiated by Republicans but has gathered support from everyone.
