NOTABLE QUOTES

David Horowitz & Danile Greenfield contributors to FrontPage Magazine: An American president and commander-in-chief loyal to his country and its citizens would never have made the decisions that Joe Biden did, which have put every American’s life at risk. A loyal general staff would never have gone along with them. A decent set of leaders would have hung their heads in shame at the result of their decisions, and been grateful that treason is no longer punished by firing squads, and departed political and military life forever.

Jay Whig: Contributor to American Greatness: The national government of the United States is a gerontocracy. The president is nearly 79, the speaker of the House is 81, the Senate minority leader is 79, and Senate president pro tempore is 81. The Senate majority leader is the youngest of the senior elected officeholders at 70. The chain of succession for the presidency under the Constitution is president, vice president (who is incompetent, despite her youth), speaker, president pro tempore. Interrupted only by a cackle, it is liver spots all the way down. A gerontocracy requires the cooperation of the middle-aged and young, who cannot conceive of themselves wielding power and so defer to the old.

David Cole ACLU legal director & Daniel Mach ACLU’S director on freedom of religion: “Vaccines are a justifiable intrusion on autonomy and bodily integrity. That may sound ominous, because we all have the fundamental right to bodily integrity and to make our own health care decisions. But these rights are not absolute.”

Jennifer Margulis contributor to The Epoch Times: After admission, I spoke to the nurse on the COVID ward. She was suited up in a plastic yellow disposable gown, teal gloves, and two masks underneath a recirculating personal respiratory system that buzzed so loudly she could barely hear. The nurse told me that she had gotten both vaccines but she was feeling worried: “Two thirds of my patients are fully vaccinated,” she said.

Brian C. Joondeph contributor to American Thinker questions why of hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin are castigated: Medical treatment involves balancing risks and benefits. When FDA approved medications are used in appropriate doses for appropriate patients, prescribed by competent physicians, the risks tend to be low, and any benefit should be celebrated. Instead, the medical establishment, media, and regulatory authorities are taking the opposite approach. One has to wonder why.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D – WV) in his WSJ 9/2/21 op-ed: The nation faces an unprecedented array of challenges and will inevitably encounter additional crises in the future. Yet some in Congress have a strange belief there is an infinite supply of money to deal with any current or future crisis, and that spending trillions upon trillions will have no negative consequence for the future. I disagree.

President Joe Biden expressed his outrage of the US Supreme Court’s 5-4 Texas abortion heartbeat law decision: “One reason I became the first president in history to create a Gender Policy Council was to be prepared to react to such assaults on women’s rights. Hence, I am directing that Council and the Office of the White House Counsel to launch a whole-of-government effort to respond to this decision, looking specifically to the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Justice to see what steps the Federal Government can take to ensure that women in Texas have access to safe and legal abortions as protected by Roe, and what legal tools we have to insulate women and providers from the impact of Texas’ bizarre scheme of outsourced enforcement to private parties.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) following the US Supreme Court’s 5-4 Texas abortion heartbeat law decision: “Republicans promised to overturn Roe v Wade, and they have. Democrats can either abolish the filibuster and expand the court, or do nothing as millions of peoples’ bodies, rights, and lives are sacrificed for far-right minority rule. This shouldn’t be a difficult decision.”

PRESIDENT TRUMP

Vakil: Trump endorses Hershel Walker for Georgia Senate seat
“Herschel Walker is a friend, a Patriot, and an outstanding American who is going to be a GREAT United States Senator. He embodies ‘America First’ and the winning spirit of Georgia. Herschel is tough on Crime and Borders, and he will always stand in support of Law Enforcement, Military, and our Vets,” Trump said in a statement issued through his Save America PAC. “He will fight hard for our Second Amendment and Voter Integrity. Herschel Walker will never let you down. He was a great football player and will be an even better U.S. Senator—if that is even possible. He has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

BEHIND THE DEEP STATE

Hoekstra: Is the U.S. Intelligence Community Putting the World at Risk?
The recent release of an unclassified summary by the Intelligence Community (IC) of its investigation into China’s role in the COVID pandemic leaves one feeling that there is nothing there. Like Sergeant Schultz in the old TV series “Hogan’s Heroes,” the IC seems to be protesting “I know nothing! Nothing!” The report provided no real substantive insights into the origins of the pandemic. Yet the Intelligence Community’s COVID Summary is dangerous; infinitely more dangerous than it appears. Without saying so directly, it encourages us to discount China’s significant culpability in this disaster, downplaying its responsibility for the pandemic unleashed on its territory and its role in the deadly spread of COVID around the world.

2020 ELECTION

Conradson: Professor David Clements Gives A HUGE Audit Update On The Pete Santilli Show – MARICOPA: “It’s Far WORSE Than Anything I Could Have Imagined. Oh,It’s TERRIBLE.”
Professor David Clements is a law professor at New Mexico State University. He’s the former Deputy District Attorney, 12th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, a former Senior Trial Attorney for the 3rd and 6th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and the founder of The Professor’s Record website. […] And I’m encouraged enough because we’re on the cusp of having the Maricopa report published, and it’s going to be a bombshell. I mean, there’s just no doubt about it. I’ve been privy to some of the findings that are going to be released and people aren’t going to believe just how bad Maricopa is. People are expecting it to be bad. It’s far worse than anything I could have imagined. Oh, it’s terrible.

ELECTION INTEGRITY

Mittelstadt: GOP intervenes in Democrat lawsuit against Arizona election integrity laws
The Republican National Committee (RNC) and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) announced a joint legal intervention on Thursday against a Democratic lawsuit attacking Arizona’s election integrity laws. The RNC and NRSC are intervening in Mi Familia Vota v. Hobbs, which is “a lawsuit filed by left-wing dark money organizations challenging two common-sense laws protecting the integrity of Arizona’s elections,” according to their statement. The Democrats’ lawsuit is in regard to a recently enacted Arizona law “that ensures ballots are mailed to their intended recipients by removing voters from a permanent vote-by-mail list if they don’t vote over a period spanning two general elections.”

PEACEFULLY & PATRIOTICALLY HAVE YOUR VOICES HEARD

Berrien: FIERY VIDEO: Woman Blasts CA School Board, Says Of Leftist Teachers, ‘We Want You Out. Now.’
On Wednesday night, after a high school teacher at Inderkum High School in the Natomas Unified School District in Sacramento, California, had been exposed claiming he tried to indoctrinate his students in leftist politics, irate parents confronted the school board, slamming the local teachers association as well as the California Teachers Association for attempting to subvert America and also berating the school board for initially putting the teacher on paid leave instead of firing him. […] Before the parents spoke, Superintendent Chris Evans announced that Gipe had been “placed on paid leave because of his actions and choices in the classroom.” […] “I believe that masks, they’ve been going from mostly two years now, this is going to be the third year of my high school career that’s compromised,” student Austin Knapp told ABC 7. “I want a normal high school career there. If you are scared you could stay home.”

Lifson: Dallas mayor and city council sucked in by citizen mocking them in hilarious parody of mandatory vaccine policies
Whoever the man is in the video below, addressing the Dallas mayor and city council by video in an open microphone session, he is one gifted comedian. He pretended to be a resident of the very expensive Highland Park neighborhood, fully supportive of mandatory vaccinations, and then took the logic farther and farther, all the while parodying the mentality of rich, white liberals who seek to force the lower orders into compliance with their diktats.

LIFE

Duffy: Hemingway: Past Time For SCOTUS To Allow States To Protect Human Life
Federalist Senior Editor Mollie Hemingway said the Supreme Court’s decision to allow the Texas Legislature to protect human life is long overdue on Fox News’ “Special Report” Wednesday. “The Supreme Court has a history of having had bad decisions,” Hemingway said, but their inaction on the Texas legislation is an “opportunity” for the court to allow states to once again “set appropriate limits and protect these unborn children and their mothers.” [NOTE: Chief Justice Roberts sided with three liberal justices.]

CHINA: AMERICA’S MORTAL ENEMY

Beyrer: Chinese Ambassador Warns of ‘Disastrous Consequences’ if US Takes Hard Line on China
“It would be absurd and dangerous to apply the ‘Cold War playbook’ to today’s China-U.S. relations,” Qin Gang, who was appointed by Beijing on July 28, said Tuesday in his first major speech as ambassador. “Many countries are reluctant or concerned about being forced by the [United States] to pick sides. I hope American politicians would seriously consider: Does suppressing China really serve their purpose? Does it really meet America’s own interests? Who can bear the disastrous consequences to China-U.S. relations and the world? Dealing with China from a position of strength—the Chinese people simply do not accept it.” Qin also called on the Biden administration to reverse the “extreme China policy” of the Trump administration.

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING FOREIGN POLICY

Chamberlain: ‘Tell the State Dept. to f–k themselves’: Taliban’s taunts to desperate evacuees
One Afghan-American who worked with the office of Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) said the Islamic fundamentalist group’s fighters “were creating as much problem as they could.” The man recalled being told by the State Department to go to the Interior Ministry in Kabul, where he was confronted by a Taliban guard. After the man explained the situation, the Taliban fighter responded: “Go and tell the State Department to f— themselves.” The Examiner reports that lawmakers, staffers and would-be evacuees found that the Taliban did not want to let Afghan-Americans through the checkpoints, even when people brandished their dark-blue US passports.

Goodman: Afghanistan fiasco may have been the result of blackmail
Our political pundits are focusing on Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan as a political blunder by the president and our military leaders, but what if the root cause for Biden’s withdrawal is much more ominous and sinister than mere stupidity? The following questions demand an answer.
Why would our military commanders willingly give up Bagram, a strategic airport built by the Russians, and why would they willingly leave $85 billion in military hardware behind? Why would they leave thousands of Americans stranded behind enemy lines while providing the Taliban a “kill list” of those Americans left behind? Unlike previous withdrawals, where it is customary upon withdrawal to first evacuate our citizens, and then destroy the equipment and blow up the bases, we did the opposite. We did not evacuate our citizens. We did not destroy the equipment. And we did not blow up the bases.
We have learned that the Biden administration cut off all communication with the anti-Taliban resistance group, the National Front. Although Ali Nazar, head of foreign relations for the group, has said he “tried to reach out,” there has been no response from the Biden administration. Glenn Beck recently reported that his mission to rescue Afghan Christians has been blocked by our State Department and the White House, and he fears that they may be burned alive or crucified by the Taliban. Are we to believe that our military leadership, led by four-star generals, is so naïve and incompetent? Highly unlikely!
A more likely scenario is . . .

Credo & Goodman: Republicans Blame Pentagon Planner Colin Kahl for Bungled Afghanistan Strategy
Pentagon strategy chief Colin Kahl is in the hot seat over his role in the Biden administration’s bungled Afghanistan withdrawal, four months after Senate Republicans unanimously opposed his nomination and warned that his appointment would be disastrous for national defense policy. Kahl, the civilian head of policy planning at the Department of Defense and third highest ranking department official, has been a key player in planning for the Afghanistan withdrawal and the day-to-day policy decisions on the ground. […] Sen. Bill Hagerty (R., Tenn.), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told the Washington Free Beacon that Kahl “should never have been nominated by the president or confirmed by the Senate” and should be held responsible for the Biden administration’s failures in Afghanistan, including for the hundreds of Americans who have reportedly been left behind. “In Kahl, we have someone not even qualified for a security clearance at the center of President Biden’s incompetently planned and disorderly withdrawal from Afghanistan.” […] Calls for Kahl’s resignation come just months after his bruising confirmation battle, during which he faced scrutiny for his Twitter attacks on Republicans, his advocacy for the Iran nuclear deal, and his record of inaccurate foreign policy predictions. Kahl was confirmed in a divisive, party-line vote after he apologized for his years of inflammatory tweets, including blasting the GOP as the “party of ethnic cleansing” and a “clown show.” Kahl, who served as Biden’s national security adviser during the Obama administration, was a top advocate of the nuclear deal with Iran and has spoken at multiple events hosted by the National Iranian American Council, a pro-Iranian regime lobbying group.

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING AMERICA

Brown: ‘Big Miss’: Weak August Jobs Report ‘Terrible News’ for Economy
The Bureau of Labor Statistics released its August jobs data on Friday morning showing a much weaker than expected 235,000 jobs were added while the unemployment rate dipped .2 percent from July to 5.2 percent, missing expected job growth by 500,000. While it was estimated that the unemployment rate would fall to 5.2 percent, August’s jobs numbers are a significant miss from the 720,000+ new jobs economists predicted would be reported. […] Reported job losses in retail along with restaurants could be partially explained by the Delta variant of the Wuhan coronavirus and the restrictions many liberal cities and states snapped back in place.

Raju & Diaz: Manchin upends Democrats’ push to enact Biden’s agenda this month, calling for ‘pause’ on $3.5 trillion bill
In a strongly worded op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, the moderate senator called on fellow Democrats to “hit a strategic pause on the budget-reconciliation legislation,” referring to the bill that can be approved in the Senate by just a simple majority — meaning all 50 members of the Senate Democratic Caucus have to support the bill or it will collapse since all 50 Republicans are expected to oppose it. “Instead of rushing to spend trillions on new government programs and additional stimulus funding, Congress should hit a strategic pause on the budget-reconciliation legislation,” he wrote in the op-ed. “A pause is warranted because it will provide more clarity on the trajectory of the pandemic, and it will allow us to determine whether inflation is transitory or not.”

FAUCI’S VIRUS: IT’S POLITICAL

Joondeph: Why all the fuss about Ivermectin?
First hydroxychloroquine, now ivermectin, is the hated deadly drug de jour, castigated by the medical establishment and regulatory authorities. Both drugs have been around for a long time as FDA-approved prescription medications. Yet now we are told they are as deadly as arsenic. […] Ivermectin was FDA approved in 1998 under brand name Stromectol, produced by pharmaceutical giant Merck, approved for several parasitic infections. The product label described it having a “unique mode of action,” which “leads to an increase in the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions.” This suggests that ivermectin acts as an ionophore, making cell membranes permeable to ions that enter the cell for therapeutic effect. Ivermectin is one of several ionophores, others including hydroxychloroquine, quercetin, and resveratrol, the latter two available over the counter. These ionophores simply open a cellular door, allowing zinc to enter the cell, where it then interferes with viral replication, providing potential therapeutic benefit in viral and other infections. […] The FDA says ivermectin “can be dangerous and even lethal,” yet they approved it in 1998 and have not pulled it from the market despite it being “dangerous and lethal.” Any medication can be “dangerous and lethal” if misused. People have even overdosed on water. […] Does ivermectin work against COVID? That is the bigger question and worthy of investigation, rather than reminding people that they are not cows. A study published several months ago in the American Journal of Therapeutics concluded, . . .
