Barto And Griffin’s Education Transparency Bill Signed Into Law
House Bill 2035 codifies into law the curriculum transparency and parental notification measures included in Executive Order 2021-11, which Governor Ducey issued on April 20. The legislation provides parents with an opportunity to participate in, review, and provide input on any proposed sex education course of study before it is adopted. This legislation also prohibits sex education from occurring in kindergarten through fourth grades. In addition, this bill requires schools to provide parents the opportunity to opt their children in to any instruction, learning materials or presentations related to sexuality, in courses other than formal sex education curricula. Under previous law, parents were only able to opt-out of this instruction. The bill ensures that teaching age-appropriate child abuse prevention is not considered sex education and can be taught without these restrictions. A separate provision enacted as part of the budget further strengthens these protections.

Vakil: Murkowski: Trump has ‘threatened to do a lot’ to those who stand up to him
During an interview that aired Friday with Alaska Landmine Radio, Murkowski, a GOP moderate, said that former President Trump has “threatened to do a lot” to his detractors, even those in his own party. The veteran senator has served in the upper chamber since 2002 but during Friday’s interview would not confirm whether she would run for reelection in 2022. Radio host Jeff Landfield said that the race for her seat in the Senate would be closely watched. “It will be. I think one of the things that I’ve learned is that none of the races that I’ve been part of have ever really been easy or ordinary. This will probably prove to be much, much along those lines,” Murkowski said. “I know that former President Trump is skeptical about me and the job that I do for Alaska, but I really think that that’s for Alaskans to judge.”

Heine: ‘We’re Coming for Your Children’ Songwriting Team Forced to Cancel Musical Accused of ‘Romanticizing’ Afghan Dancing Boys
The same songwriting team that wrote an appalling song for the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus mocking parents’ fears that they’re “coming for your children,” were forced to cancel production of a play last year about the “dancing boys” of Afghanistan after it sparked a massive outcry from Afghans who perceived it as romanticizing sexual abuse. Lyricist Charlie Sohne and composer Tim Rosser provoked a public outcry this week with their LGBTQ anthem, “A Message From the Gay Community,” which tells parents that they will “quietly and subtlely” convert their children, and “you will barely notice it.”
Their YouTube video has since been set to private. Their song, which Sohne and Rosser claim is “obviously tongue and cheek,” goes on to mock the horror of parents when they discover that their children are “finding things online.” […] Sohne and Rosser created a musical in 2016 about “bacha bazi” or “boy play,” a custom in Afghanistan involving child sexual abuse between older men and young adolescent males or boys—known as dancing boys. The boys are trained to dance seductively in front of older men at parties and are often sexually abused.

Andrew Weissmann Says the Quiet Part Out Loud
There’s an interesting aspect to an Andrew Weissmann statement on MSNBC that almost everyone is missing. Before watching the brief excerpt, let me put the comments into context. Remember, the Intelligence Branch uses intelligence silos to protect themselves; however, the Intelligence Branch also violates those silos when ever they want. First, Andrew Weissmann comes from the DOJ-National Security Division (DOJ-NSD). More specifically, in that division Andrew Weissmann was in charge of the section that used FARA (Foreign Agent Registration Act), or FARA-951 as a weapon against their political enemies.
The only targets Weissmann ever selected for FARA investigations were political opposition. […] However, as you watch this MSNBC segment, notice how casually Andrew Weissmann says that Tucker Carlson should have gone to the DOJ (Main Justice) with any concerns about his communication being intercepted by the NSA. A salient feature of their efforts has been the promotion of new opinions concerning the American Founders and their appreciation for the importance of those rights. Within intellectual circles, Progressives have tended both to acknowledge that the Founders attached great significance to property rights and to denigrate them precisely for this attachment. The harsher critics, beginning with Charles Beard, ascribed to the Founders selfish motives in establishing a constitution that provided generous protections for private property; his claim was that the principal goal of such a constitution was to protect the wealthy elite against the democratic majority. Beard’s assertion has been coupled with the claim made by other scholars that not only were the Founders selfish, but they also understood all human beings to be primarily selfish, acquisitive creatures. In his influential book, The American Political Tradition, Richard Hofstadter wrote: . . .[…] A reading of the important founding documents, however, shows clearly that the Founders held property rights to be as important as other human rights. In fact, at times they insisted that the right to acquire and possess private property was in some ways the most important of individual rights. The Space Force was created at the end of 2019. Six months later it declared war on “racism”. “Racism is an enemy,” Gen. John Raymond and Chief Master Sgt. Roger Towberman declared, disabusing anyone who might have thought the military enemy was Communist China, Iran, Russia, or any of the other antagonists that the Space Force was tasked with countering. While the People’s Republic of China was deploying its series of Long March rockets, Black Lives Matter mobs were wrecking American cities and Gen. Raymond was focused on pandering to the racist mob. As China deployed its first Mars mission, and its first reusable spacecraft, and launched communications satellites, the Space Force obsessed over diversity.

Day: Nationalizing the Capitol Police
Do we really want a nationwide federal police force accountable solely to a small number of legislators, not subject to FOIA and other citizen protections applicable to the executive branch? The Acting Chief of the U.S. Capitol Police has recently announced the expansion of their federal force into Florida and California. Two new field offices will be opening in Tampa and San Francisco, due to claims from Acting Chief Yogananda Pittman that the number of threats against sitting Congressmen has doubled in the last year. However, this isn’t D.C.’s first effort to implement a new national police force. Just last June, House Democrats voted to pass H.R. 7120, an attempt to nationalize state and local police departments across the entire country, disguised as legislation for defunding the police.

Before I get to the bad news, let me start with some good news. Christopher F. Rufo tweets that the revulsion against Critical Race Theory being taught in schools is showing results. Nine states have already banned it: Arizona, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Hampshire, Iowa, and Idaho. As more people realize this effort to divide us into what Scott Adams calls “losers and assholes” I expect we will see more states banning the teaching of this perfidious, noxious, baseless nonsense. On the other hand, there seems no backing off of it in the military, where it can do nothing but weaken our defense capabilities. Other good news is that courts are rejecting efforts to scrap voter reform. Voter Reform is winning, and it’s what the voters want: . . . One more piece of good news, . . . […] The bad news this week, is that the media is still feeding us baloney, the surveillance state is growing and we now have — with judicial acquiescence — a group of political prisoners in D.C. and a lunatic FBI dragnet against everyone who was anywhere near the Capitol on January 6.

As conservative personages compress complex realities into television soundbites, especially on Fox News, they inadvertently use words and concepts in ways false to reality, amounting to surrender in the all-important struggle over language regarding justice. What follows is elementary correction.
As conservatives strive to point out the difference between the noble word “equality” and the fraudulent word “equity,” they routinely state that the first means equal opportunity for all, which is true, while “equity” aims at equality of results—namely placing all individuals in similar circumstances regardless of ability, effort, and so on. The latter is a false definition of the term, in a way that facilitates the most unjust of inequalities through tyranny. It is perniciously false as well because it fosters a kindred falsehood—that socialism has anything at all to do with equality or with justice. In fact, “equity” and “socialism” are verbal stalking horses for power divorced from any kind of justice—from anything other than force.

COVID-19 vaccine maker Pfizer Inc will meet with federal health officials as soon as Monday to discuss the need for a booster dose of the coronavirus vaccine as it prepares to seek authorization, the company said on Sunday. The meeting comes days after the drugmaker and its partner BioNTech SE announced plans to seek U.S. and European regulatory approval for a third dose of their COVID-19 shot amid the spread of variants and data they said showed heightened risk of infection six months after initial inoculation.

A left-wing activist group desecrated the Christ of the Ozarks statue with a large banner that reads: “God Bless Abortions.” […] In the middle of the night on Thursday, Indecline activists allegedly dressed as a construction crew to gain access to the area around the 7-story religious statue. Activists purportedly used climbing equipment to scale the 67-foot statue of Jesus Christ. From the statue’s outstretched arms, agitators hung a 44-foot banner that reads: “God Bless Abortions.” […] “The project, entitled ‘God Bless Abortions,’ is in direct response to the dramatic attempts being made in Arkansas and throughout the South, to ban abortion services to women in need,” Indecline said on Friday, according to Fox News. […] The executive director of The Great Passion Play and curator of the monument, Randall Christy, said, “Lord help them. Maybe he’ll somehow touch them and make them realize how bad that message really is.”

Kaminsky: Ohio Abortion Center Reportedly Tossed Dismembered Baby Remains In Dumpster
Ohio Right to Life put out a press release Wednesday, describing how it learned an unborn child about 17-weeks gestation was discarded in a dumpster. This action would be in direct violation of S.B. 27, the Unborn Child Dignity Act, signed by Republican Gov. Mike DeWine in December 2020. The law requires the state’s Department of Health to ensure protocol is in place for the cremation or burial of unborn children who die through abortion. “This child suffered doubly at the hands of the abortion industry: first, by being subjected to a brutal death by dismemberment and second by the degradation of his or her broken body being dumped into the trash like garbage,” said Ohio Right to Life President Mike Gonidakis in a statement.
