Barbara Gehrett, MD; Chris Flowers, MD; and Loree Britt: Report 93: Pfizer’s ‘Post-Marketing Surveillance Report’ Reveals That Pfizer Manipulated Data and Wrongly Tabulated Adverse Events, Which Concealed Them.

We evaluated Pfizer’s 38-page “5.3.6 Cumulative Analysis of Post-Authorization Adverse Events Reports of PF-07302048 (BNT162b2) received through 28-Feb-2021,” commonly known as “5.3.6,” starting in September of 2022. Patterns emerged across the System Organ Classes (SOCs). These patterns included Pfizer’s apparent concealment of various cases of adverse events, as well as unexplained causes of death. Because we saw these patterns, we shifted our attention from Pfizer’s descriptions of adverse events and reviewed each SOC on its own. Thus, we found many data discrepancies. We saw that Pfizer manipulated data by setting various different “thresholds” for counting adverse events in each SOC. In addition, Pfizer frequently assigned adverse events to SOCs that were inappropriate, which obscured adverse event signals. We dedicated a year to this intensive analysis of this report, which contains 42,086 patients (“cases”) and 158,893 adverse events. Pfizer clearly did not expect this thoroughgoing analysis, which exposes data manipulation. […] Pfizer Attempted to Hide Some Diagnostic Trends. In 5.3.6, we saw that diagnoses were either combined or split apart in ways that obscure the total number of adverse events. For instance, in Table 7, “neurologic” diagnoses are split apart into three separate classes:

“Neurological”: 501 cases (69% of adverse events were seizures).
“Facial Paralysis” (or “Bell’s Palsy”), with 449 cases.
“Stroke,” with 275 cases.

Of course, this amounts to a total of 1,225 neurological cases. However, that is not apparent if one reviews the “Neurological” SOC alone, which contains only 41% of the total. Similar trends arose with other diagnostic categories, such as cardiovascular disease.

Summaries of the deal state Microsoft would provide China Daily with technology that lets the paper target potential readers and gave the People’s Daily access to an artificial intelligence bot specially designed to be controlled and censored by the Chinese Communist Party.

It is basic logic that society should punish behaviors it discourages (e.g., tobacco taxes) and encourage virtuous acts (e.g., tax-deductible charity). However, is the Biden administration, contrary to this common sense, now encouraging brutal slaughters, accompanied by taking innocents – not soldiers – hostage? It certainly seems so. After America just recently valued each of its citizens at over $1 billion apiece, for five Iranian-held hostages ($6 billion total), does our pressure on Israel to pause fighting endanger not just Israel, not just our Mideast allies, but also America? Put differently, is our pressure on Israel to release hostages, in exchange for a cease-fire, invaluable to both Hamas and Iran, a continuation of a Biden Administration policy which encourages hostage-taking?

Many of the officials managing the Palestinian Authority (PA) are the same ones who helped establish it in 1994 and were responsible for its rampant corruption. This corruption is one of the main reasons why Hamas won the PA parliamentary election in 2006, when the Islamist movement ran under the banner of “Change and Reform.”
Mahmoud Abbas and senior PA officials have been stirring up bloodlust for Israel both before and after Hamas’s October 7 massacre. Palestinians hear these messages and vote for Hamas when given the opportunity, as we saw in the recent student council elections at a number of Palestinian universities in the West Bank. This is exactly what Abbas feared when he cancelled the PA’s presidential and parliamentary elections that were slated to take place in 2021.
The assumption that, three decades later, the Palestinian Authority is going to embark on any serious reforms is a mirage. Abbas and the PA leadership will not change unless they are pressured to do so… One thing is clear: the Palestinian Authority is in no way, shape or form up to this job.

US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken used the phrase “revitalized Palestinian Authority” to express support for placing the Gaza Strip, currently ruled by the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group, under the control of the PA, headed by Mahmoud Abbas. On December 2, Vice President Kamala Harris became the latest official to promote the idea that “we have to revitalize the Palestinian Authority” to prepare it for ruling the Gaza Strip after the war.

Represented by Alliance Defending Freedom, Joe and Serena Wailes are calling on the Colorado-based Jefferson County School Board and Jefferson County Public Schools Superintendent Tracy Dorland to clarify “whether JCPS will continue this practice of intentionally withholding information about rooming accommodations from parents like the Waileses, who object to their children rooming with a student of the opposite sex, regardless of the other student’s gender identity.” “This practice renders it impossible for these parents to make informed decisions about their children’s privacy, upbringing, and participation in school-sponsored programs,”. . .

A pair of transgender women won first and second place in a female race at the Illinois State Cyclocross Championships over the weekend, sparking fury among advocates for women’s athletics. The championships were held on December 3 and were comprised of some one dozen different competitions divided into men, women, and junior athlete categories. But it was two biological men who placed atop the podium for the Women’s Singlespeed category. Kristin Chalmers, the bronze medalist, was the sole biological female on a podium that included Tessa Johnson and Evelyn Williamson. [Note: In any sport, REAL women should stop showing-up to compete if a biological man pretending to be a woman is in the lineup.]

Israeli Health Ministry officials tell a Knesset hearing that Hamas gave hostages drugs before releasing them so they’d appear calm and happy in their propaganda videos.

Lost confidence. Well shame. I stepped back into Manhattan and Brooklyn last week, down to the city from my life in the deep upstate woods. I was revisiting the world of privilege that had ousted me in 2021, and that had been so confident and even smug right up until and into the “pandemic.”

It’s haunting, what that world seems like now. Brian and I attended an evening gathering of New York City thought leaders, and old-school society leaders. It was in a private home, and convened by the same glamorous group that had dis-invited me from its “list”, due to my naughty vaccine status, in 2021. I felt that it was important to show up now, and see what had happened to this world in the meantime.

The Ireland of today is very different to the Ireland of yesteryears. Irish eyes are not smiling, and for good reason. Today, my homeland is a horrific place to live: riots on the streets, vehicles ablaze, innocent children being stabbed, and women being raped and murdered. Crime statistics released earlier this year by the Garda Síochána, Ireland’s national police force, paint a rather troubling picture. Since 2019, serious criminal offenses, including murder, rape, and sexual assaults, have skyrocketed. As the statistics show, in the space of four years, reports of rape have increased by 13 percent. Moreover, over the past 12 years, the number of sex crimes have increased by a whopping 75 percent. Last year, 44 cases of murder or manslaughter were recorded. In 2021, 25 cases were recorded. That’s a significant jump. What’s going on?

Had I known that Australian social scientists Jordan McSwiney and Kurt Sengul found the use of humor and ridicule to be an insidious attack on our democracy, I would certainly avoid even a trace of sarcasm or humor in my articles! Abstract This paper critically examines the use of online humor and ridicule to promote and normalize far-right exclusionary discourses. Through a critical qualitative study of the Please Explain miniseries, a series of thirty-four short web cartoons produced by Australian far-right populist party, Pauline Hanson’s One Nation, we explore the strategic use of humor in the communicative arsenal of the contemporary far-right. Drawing on critical discourse analysis and thematic analysis, we examine how humor is used to soften articulations of exclusionary and supremacist ideas, including racism, misogyny, and queerphobia. Our findings suggest that the frivolity and irony of the online animated genre works to stretch the boundaries of the sayable, potentially making the content more palatable to non-far-right audiences. We argue that the strategic use of exclusionary humor forms part of a wider project of far-right discursive mainstreaming that simultaneously (re)legitimizes everyday expressions of exclusion.
