A U.S. District judge in Oklahoma ruled that a federal law restricting marijuana users from possessing firearms is unconstitutional, marking the latest court decision to expand Second Amendment rights. Trump-appointed judge Patrick Wyrick ruled last week that federal law violated the Second Amendment rights of Jared Michael Harrison, who was arrested in May 2022 for possession of marijuana. He was later charged with violation of federal law “that makes it illegal for ‘unlawful users or addicts of controlled substances’ to possess firearms,” according to Fox News. In his decision, however, Wyrick wrote that “Harrison’s mere status as a user of marijuana” did not “justif[y] stripping him of his fundamental right to possess a firearm.”

This is as the Bureau takes further actions against legally recognized whistleblowers who have provided protected disclosures to Congress. Bureau sources tell UncoverDC that this is the first time FBI training has combined the two modules. It is perceived as a subtle but unmistakable sign from the FBI that protected whistleblower disclosures are considered in tandem with Insider Threat actions. “Unauthorized Disclosure” is now listed on the wheel of potential insider threats, something new to the training. The group of whistleblowers, nicknamed “The Suspendables” by its members, contacted Congressman Jim Jordan last year. They have provided a myriad of information to Congress on the Bureau’s actions and policies, many of which are antithetical to its mission statement.

However, when you overlay the expanded Dept of State mission that Obama delivered, transferring GEC intent to domestic operations, suddenly the background of Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop makes sense. Readers here are so far ahead of the curve on this story, it’s kind of cool, funny, and yet frustrating at the same time. Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop is all a wild conspiracy theory born from the oddly wired brain of some dude in the corner of the internet; until suddenly it’s not. Factually, it has been staring at everyone since the operation began in 2011, yet no one was willing to believe it. Apparently, Elon Musk is starting to realize what is inside the communication platform he purchased.

The Real J6, an organization representing individuals incarcerated for the January 6th riot, has launched the “Operation Love Wins” campaign to reunite inmates in the D.C. jail with their families. In short, they say the balloon was around 2,000 pounds and 200 foot tall. It carried a payload the size of a jetliner and may have carried explosives in order to destroy itself. Bolyard: Is Your Child Being Forced to Sit Through ‘Silent Lunch’ at School? You’d Better Find Out!

The next time someone warns me that homeschooled kids will never learn social skills, I’m going to bring up this story. A mom I know posted on Facebook last week that her daughter received detention at school for talking during lunch. I kid you not. The offending 4th-grader was cited for “excessive talking” after a boy asked if she wanted his fruit snack. The girl responded with a simple “no,” which was enough for the lunch supervisor to slap her with her first detention. Another parent responded to the post, saying that when she visited the school to have lunch with her kids, she was shocked to learn that they were forced to put their heads down on the table after they finished eating. Not only that, but at this school, the children are forced to sit in rows facing the front of the room and are not even allowed to choose their lunchmates. This is utter madness — and abusive. […] If kids are out of control, the onus is on the school to remove the disruptive kids. Instead, they punish all the children, forcing them to remain silent during lunch. (These are the same Karens who insist that homeschoolers are anti-social, by the way.) Debra Maxwell, a “former elementary teacher, MA education,” tried to explain the rationale for silent lunches in a Quora post a few years back and it sounds like a dystopian hellscape where humans are treated like cattle: . . .

Teachers are now to provide professional gender-affirming care for students without a required medical license, without parental approval or consent, without securing informed consent, and without conforming to professional standards of care. Minnesota proposes to require teachers to “ensure” that student gender-identities are “affirmed.” How would that work? Let’s say 13-year-old Katie approaches a teacher and informs the teacher that she was born in the wrong body, that she is actually a boy, that she is to be called Ben, and that she needs to have her breasts removed in order to become her authentic self. According to Item 4E of “The Proposed Standards of Effective Practice” for teachers in Minnesota, the teacher is required to ensure that Katie’s identity is affirmed. The teacher, however, has no knowledge of Katie’s mental health history, whether she is under the care of licensed gender-care professionals, how Katie may have developed her beliefs as to her identity, the persons or causes instrumental in forming her gender identity, what Katie’s parents know, if anything, and how they feel about her gender identity, and what diagnoses and treatment recommendations Katie may have received from gender-care professionals, including recommendations that a wait and see protocol be adopted or that affirmation be delayed pending further evaluation and investigation. The teacher is thus faced with a mandate from the state to affirm Katie’s gender identity in a one-size-fits-all protocol which clearly violates both the individualized treatment requirements of the 2012 Standards of Care Version 7 (page 7) published by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and the individualized treatment recommendations of the American Psychiatric Association (APA).

In an article published by Axios on Wednesday, the growing dissatisfaction with the AMA from Congress’s Physician’s Caucus was reported. Of course, Axios tried to spin the problem as falling on the backs of Republicans, stating, “Republicans break with another historical ally: doctors.” However, a closer look reveals that the problem actually lies with the AMA. […] Physician Rep. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, noted shortly after his meeting with AMA leadership, “It looks like all you care about are woke issues.” On the Senate side, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., observed that the AMA “has been very much left-wing or left-of-center for a long time” while voicing concerns regarding the misguided priorities of its subsidiary organizations such as the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. s a medical student and researcher, I staunchly supported the efforts of the public health authorities when it came to COVID-19. I believed that the authorities responded to the largest public health crisis of our lives with compassion, diligence, and scientific expertise. I was with them when they called for lockdowns, vaccines, and boosters. I was wrong. We in the scientific community were wrong. And it cost lives. I can see now that the scientific community from the CDC to the WHO to the FDA and their representatives, repeatedly overstated the evidence and misled the public about its own views and policies, including on natural vs. artificial immunity, school closures and disease transmission, aerosol spread, mask mandates, and vaccine effectiveness and safety, especially among the young. All of these were scientific mistakes at the time, not in hindsight. Amazingly, some of these obfuscations continue to the present day.

Hawkins: Clerk Opens Fire with Two Guns, Kills Alleged Masked Robber

A clothing store clerk in East Hartford, Connecticut, opened fire Thursday night, shooting and killing an alleged robber who entered the store in a ski mask. WFSB notes that police were called to the scene about 10:30 p.m. and learned that two alleged robbers, both of whom were wearing masks, had entered the store. One of them shot the clerk in the back.NBC Connecticut reports that the clerk managed to “[return] fire with two of his legally registered firearms,” hitting one of the suspects with multiple rounds. The wounded suspect was taken to a hospital, where he died. The clerk was also transported to a hospital for his gunshot wound, which was not life-threatening.

Jupiter already reigns as king of the planets — it’s the largest one in our solar system. And now, the gas giant has the most known moons, too. Astronomers have observed 12 additional moons orbiting Jupiter, bringing its total number of confirmed moons to 92.
