The blossoms on the cherry tree on my front lawn had barely bloomed when a cold snap and heavy wind-driven rain scattered the petals all over my front lawn. I stepped out front to pick up a box of herbs left there to be planted when a neighbor passed by. I don’t know him very well, but his virtue signaling was a rather good clue as to where his sympathies lay. His lawn was peppered with signs: ”Biden-Harris,” “Hate has no Home Here,” “Build Bridges not Walls,” “Refugees Welcome Here,” “Climate Action Now,” “Gun Control Now,” “Black Lives Matter,” “Defund the Police.” By their lawn signs you shall know them, I thought. Still, I was polite — waved and said, ”Hi.” He apparently had something on his chest he just had to get rid of and approached me. “It’s Trump’s doing!” he shouted. Nonplussed, I simply raised my eyebrows and let him continue.

Sperry: Ketanji Brown Jackson chose leniency even in baby sex torture cases
In the eight child-porn cases that came before her court, former D.C. District Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson heard horrifying details of “sadomasochistic” torture of young kids — including “infants and toddlers” — yet challenged the disturbing evidence presented by prosecutors and disregarded their prison recommendations to give the lightest possible punishments in each case, according to transcripts of sentencing hearings obtained by the Post. In some cases, she even apologized to some of the kiddie-porn perverts for having to follow the statutes, which she called “substantially flawed.” In July 2020, Jackson gave the bare minimum sentence to a defendant convicted of distributing images and videos of infants being sexually abused, and who had boasted of molesting his 13-year-old cousin, even though she knew the defendant refused “to take full responsibility” for his crimes, a transcript reveals. In 2018, Christopher Michael Downs was busted trading child porn in a private online chat room, “Pedos Only,” including images of adult males raping “a prepubescent female child,” according to court records. He posted 33 graphic photos, including an image of a naked female child as young as 2 years old. Downs, then 30, told the group, “I once fooled around with my 13-year-old cousin.” He also uploaded a 10-second video of “a prepubescent female lying in a bathtub and with an adult male inserting his penis into her mouth.”

A California diversity law requiring corporations to add people of color or a member of the LGBT community to their board of directors was deemed unconstitutional by a California judge Friday. The judge determined the measure violated California’s constitutional equal protection clause, according to a summary judgment obtained by Judicial Watch, a right-leaning legal group that filed a permanent injunction against the law.

As expected, the parade of lawsuits to enjoin HB2492, which requires proof of citizenship to vote, has begun. These lawsuits are neither supported by the facts nor the law. Simply put, HB2492 is a carefully crafted statute that affirms Arizona’s existing law requiring proof of citizenship for state elections. The only substantive change is that proof of citizenship is now required for Presidential elections (Senate and Congressional elections are not subject to the law). The basis for this change is that “Art. II, § 1, vests in the States the broad discretion to select their presidential electors as they see fit.” Williams v. Rhodes, 393 U.S. 23 (1968). Further, “construction of the clause has conceded plenary power to the state legislatures in the matter of the appointment of electors.” McPherson v. Blacker, 146 U.S. 1 (1892).

You can see the trajectory in (a) the increasingly open same-sex love LeFou has for Gaston in Beauty and the Beast (in the animated version, it was hero worship; in the 2017 life-action movie, it was open), (b) the lesbian cop in Onward, (c) the fish who’s also a boy in Luca, a story that all sentient people understand as a metaphor for so-called transgenderism, and (d) Disney’s Muppet Babies pushing cross-dressing. Meanwhile, Disney has also actively courted the LGBTQ++ crowd at its theme parks. […] The marketplace needs to take Disney to task to stop this madness. A good start is to cancel the Disney theme park vacation and Disney+ streaming cable and to put the kibosh on Disney movies.
