NOTABLE QUOTES

Christian Adams is President of the Public Interest Legal Foundation and contributor to Gatestone Institute: The 2020 election was characterized by a revolutionary new funding stream in which private money flowed into government election offices, and the donors told the government election offices how to run the election. Characterized as “Zuck Bucks” because the majority of the money came from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, this money made the difference in 2020. Urban election offices in Philadelphia, Detroit, Lansing, Phoenix, Atlanta, Milwaukee and Las Vegas were converted into turnout machines. City officials went door to door collecting votes, all legally because they were city officials. Ad buys were made on urban and Spanish-language radio stations. Voting centers were set up inside urban areas rich in Biden votes. And it was all legal. Zuck Bucks drove Trump’s defeat, while many Republicans were distracted by confusing voting machine technology. The use of private money — much of it dark money — to fuel election-office policy was the single most revolutionary and effective characteristic of the 2020 election.

Barry Brownstein contributor to the American Institute for Economic Research: As we find our voices, the pendulum of power will shift back in a Tocquevillian direction. In America today, a decentralization movement is growing, advocating greater local control. Continued erosion of public trust in federal agencies and government experts will hasten that movement.

Athena Thorne contributor to PJ Media: The Walt Disney Company held an organization-wide virtual meeting on Monday, during which its executive leadership pledged the organization’s allegiance to the LGBTQ+ cause. Disney CEO Bob Chapek kicked off the meeting with yet another abject apology for not jumping astride the rainbow train tout de suite when the Florida legislature began working on the Parental Rights in Education bill. (Critics call it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill; I call it the “Let Children Have a Childhood” bill.)

Robert Spencer contributor to PJ Media: It all started on Monday night when Hannah-Jones tweeted (and later deleted): “Tipping is a legacy of slavery and if it’s not optional then it shouldn’t be a tip but simply included in the bill. Have you ever stopped to think why we tip, like why tipping is a practice in the US and almost nowhere else?” Well, no, actually, I haven’t. There are all sorts of customs and cultural habits that have their roots in long-forgotten beliefs and practices. But Hannah-Jones’ claim that “tipping is a legacy of slavery” strains credulity. Did slave owners tip their slaves?

Newt Gingrich for Republican Speaker of the house: : If you want a strong reason to pray for the health of the President of the United States, you are reminded again today that the reason is the Vice President. She’s not only totally incoherent… You know, he may or may not have cognitive decline problems at his age, but at her age she’s just dumb

GOP

Schlichter: The GOP Needs to Reject Losers Like Eric Greitens
Politicians are fungible – in almost every instance, one candidate is essentially replaceable by another – and this is why we must be utterly unsentimental about them. They owe us loyalty, and they have a fiduciary duty to us to win or to get out of the way in favor of someone who can. And this is why Eric Greitens, aka Kinky Todd Akin, needs to drop out of the race for the Missouri Senate seat.  Greitens is the ex-Democrat who changed into a Republican to become Missouri governor, a post he quit in disgrace one step ahead of impeachment by a GOP supermajority. There are plenty of accusations against him, including domestic abuse and tying his girlfriend up in the basement and snapping photos of her. Because Missouri is “50 shades of Red,” his “50 shades of Grey” antics and his myriad other issues make him the only Republican capable of losing this race. And if we lose this seat, we likely lose the Senate. And if we lose the Senate, we may lose America.  I’m not willing to give my country over to the left because of Eric Greitens’ ego. […]  We don’t need Greitens, but the Democrats do. They made sure to vote for Todd Akin in the primary because he was weak, and we endured six years of Senator Claire McCaskill because of it. They want Greitens as the nominee so bad they can taste it, because he’s their only chance at winning. Want proof? Go on Twitter and look at all the faux-MAGA accounts fulminating when actual conservatives point out that this guy is poison. Forty-three followers, 52 followers, 23 followers – all Democrat bots. All working to get this anchor nominated so they can hang him around the Missouri GOP’s neck right down the ballot.

ELECTION  2020

Conradson: EXCLUSIVE: Leaked Emails From Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer Reveal Voter Fraud Concerns Before 2020 Election
Newly released emails from November 2019 show Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer expressing his concerns about voter fraud and unscrupulous elections officials before the rigged 2020 election. […]  In 2018, Stephen Richer was tasked by the Arizona GOP with auditing the 2018 midterm election after serious concerns over fraud and elections law violations. His findings were inconclusive due to then Recorder Adrian Fontes’ failure to produce requested documents, much like Stephen Richer is doing today. The Gateway Pundit reported that the Maricopa County Recorder’s office has defied requests from the Arizona Attorney General for his criminal investigation into the sham 2020 election. Recorder Stephen Richer ran for office in 2020 on the exact same points. He told voters that former Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes is a “criminal.” One year before his election, Richer wrote, . . . […]  Was he just appealing to voters with his rhetoric, or was he paid off upon taking office? Read Stephen Richer’s explanation of how voter fraud is not a myth.

Feinstein: The Democrats Need COVID to Stay in Power
Rev up the fear over the newest COVID variant around Labor Day. Reimpose severe societal restrictions. Eliminate in-person voting completely, “for your own safety.” With the ability to totally control the handling and vote-counting procedures, the Democrats hope to once again fraudulently manipulate the outcome and retain control of the House and Senate, against all logical and historical odds. Two questions present themselves: Will the American electorate let themselves have their voting rights stripped away? Will Republicans once again let the Democrats use them as punching bags as the Democrats run roughshod over the voting process? Two good questions, with no convincing, clear-cut answers at this point.

Zillgitt: NYC to lift mandate, paving way for unvaccinated Nets, Yankees and Mets to play home games
New York City mayor Eric Adams plans to lift the private-sector vaccine mandate for professional athletes on Thursday, a person familiar with the situation told USA TODAY Sports, paving the way for unvaccinated Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving to play in home games and for unvaccinated New York Mets and Yankees players to also play in home games. The person requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about the mayor’s plans.

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING FOREIGN POLICY

Sundance: End of Petro-Dollar Begins, Russia Instructs Central Bank to Organize Payments From Hostile Countries in Rubles
It’s a smart move by Russian President Vladimir Putin.  Facing financial sanctions and economic pressures from the U.S, NATO, EU and western allies, Putin stated today that all oil and gas payments must be made in Russian rubles. The EU has few options as they are reliant upon Russia for energy products oil and gas.  If Putin organizes payment in rubles, his currency will automatically increase.  This sets the stage for other less hostile countries like the BRICS alliance to assist Putin ideologically and financially by transacting in rubles through the Russian central bank.

Sundance: Newsweek Shift – Maybe Putin Not So Bad, He Could Devastate Ukraine, but Putin Is Holding Back
Well, this is weird.  After weeks of the horrible Putin narrative, Newsweek softens the tone, perhaps sees a larger landscape where Russia is working strategically though a plan and says, “Putin’s Bombers Could Devastate Ukraine but He’s Holding Back.”  Wait, what? According to the anonymous Newsweek sources – intelligence officials who fear speaking publicly for fear of severe repercussions – it would be very easy for Vladimir Putin to level the key cities and industries in Ukraine, but he’s not doing it. The strategy Newsweek is seemingly beginning to admit is the same strategy Col Douglas Macgregor has been speaking about. […]  What the article boils down to is an acceptance, albeit couched in the U.S/NATO narrative, that Vladimir Putin is working through a careful and methodical plan to eliminate –with extreme prejudice– one severe faction of the Ukraine military (Azov battalion Nazis), and yet carefully and surgically leave intact the areas of greatest population.

Reuters: Taliban Breaks Promise, Keeps Girls’ High Schools Closed
The last time the Taliban ruled Afghanistan, from 1996 to 2001, they banned female education and most employment. The international community has made the education of girls a key demand for any future recognition of the Taliban administration, which took over the country in August as foreign forces withdrew. The United Nations and United States condemned the reported closures on Wednesday.

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING AMERICA

Balch: Before Going to War, Consider Who’s in Charge
Our Uncaptained Ship of State To further encourage that sobriety, I’d like to raise two concerns about going to war with Russia that haven’t been sufficiently addressed—although Tucker Carlson glanced at the second on his Monday evening show. They involve the competency of any war’s conduct and how war would affect our own position as a group despised by America’s elites. Point one: Even if the enthusiasts for sharply raising the military ante are in principle right, even if Ukraine today is equivalent to Czechoslovakia in 1938, even if “appeasement” would invite later Russian aggression against Poland, the Baltics, or other NATO members, do we want to court a superpower war if it will be led by the same people who gave us the Afghan debacle, the Iranian giveaway, and the vaccine mandates? Our friends pushing confrontation seem to have forgotten what they knew only yesterday: our ship of state is virtually uncaptained. And its crew consists of a clamor of zealots, as arrogant as they are ignorant of war and history in general. What’s more, they thoroughly detest the nation whose military operations and war diplomacy would be theirs to direct. They don’t even identify with traditional national interests, including our country’s political autonomy and institutional heritage. Assuming the world survives superpower conflict reasonably intact, the process of a postwar settlement would provide our elites an unparalleled opportunity to reset the world according to their globalist reveries. Our rulers’ notions of what victory requires would be vastly different from our own. This assumes that they could in fact win a war. In Ukraine, . . .[…]  Point two: . . .

Spencer: The Border Is Open, and Al-Qaeda Is Calling on Jihadis to Come In
And most Americans don’t even know there’s a jihad threat from which they need to be saved. Old Joe Biden’s handlers have essentially erased the Southern border, and as a result, illegals are streaming in at a rapid clip. […]  Terrorists are watching, too. On Wednesday, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), an al-Qaeda group called Hurras Al-Tawheed (that is, Guardians of Monotheism) published an issue of the online magazine “Mujahedeen in the West.” The lead article is an extended defense of the Islamic concept of hijra (moving to a non-Muslim land in order to expand the scope and influence of Islam) and a refutation of claims that this was a duty for Muslims only in the time of Muhammad but not today. The concept of hijra is based in part on the Qur’an, which tells Muslims, . . .

Brownstein: It Takes a Village of Bureaucrats to Implement Despotism
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is committed to a vaccine solution for COVID-19. Bureaucrats at the CDC believe you can’t be trusted to see “critical” data on COVID hospitalizations or the effectiveness of the COVID vaccine boosters; you might “misinterpret” the findings and be less inclined to get vaccinated or boosted. The NewYork Times reports, “The performance of vaccines and boosters, particularly in younger adults, is among the most glaring omissions in data the C.D.C. has made public.” Perhaps the withheld CDC data mirrors recent Israeli data, which shows, for the second booster, vanishing efficacy. When the new FDA Commissioner Robert Califf, says his top priority is to fight “distortions and half-truths,” he wasn’t referring to misinformation coming from government bureaucrats.

Jenkins: Oklahoma House passes near-total ban on abortions
Under the bill, doctors in Oklahoma would be banned from performing an abortion at any point during a woman’s pregnancy, except in a case that would save the woman’s life, local news outlet KFOR reported. Citizens of Oklahoma would be able to sue doctors who perform abortions and could also file civil suits up to $10,000 against anyone else who may try to perform an abortion, according to KFOR. The bill will be voted on by Oklahoma’s state Senate and could become one of the nation’s strictest abortion bans if it is passed, KFOR noted.

Nichols: Scoop: Ernst places “hold” on Biden India nominee
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) has placed a “hold” on Eric Garcetti’s nomination to be ambassador to India, demanding details about how the Los Angeles mayor handled allegations of sexual harassment by his staff — and whether he’s been honest explaining them to the Senate. Why it matters: India has tried to remain neutral in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, frustrating the White House. It’s also a vital ally for the U.S. in its efforts to contain China. Yet more than a year into the Biden administration, the United States has no ambassador to the world’s largest democracy. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) had placed his own hold on Garcetti’s nomination, meaning Ernst’s decision to join him erects another procedural — and political — roadblock for President Biden’s pick.

The Right Scoop: UGH: Good Morning America does segment on “Trans Joy”
American culture has become increasingly corrupt over the past two decades with the rise of the LGBT movement and here’s the latest example of the MSM playing their part in trying to normalize this transgender garbage. Good Morning America did a segment today on ‘trans joy’ where a dude proudly claims he’s a woman and the GMA hosts go right along with it as if it’s completely normal and wonderful. It’s bad enough that men claim to be women and vice versa, but the MSM pushing all of this garbage is just one more reason to shut them off for good.
