NOTABLE QUOTES

Tim McAllister contributor to America Thinker: God is not dead despite our culture’s increasing trend to shun Him. If conservatism is grounded upon the Divine, then conservatism is not dead either.

Sen. Manchin (D- WV) in a debate regarding energy policies: If you want to know what’s going on in the world, there’s 667 coal-fired plants being constructed as we speak today, around the world — zero in the U.S. and 667 in the world. People need to know what’s going on so if you think you can stick your head in the sand and say, I’m going to eliminate all fossil fuel, all coal-fired plants, shut them down, that will clean up the environment, you better start looking around at what’s happening in the world.

President Biden urges more Americans to vaccinate if they want to celebrate July 4th Independence Day: To celebrate our independence from this virus on July 4th with family and friends in small groups, we still have more to do in the months of May and June.

Daniel Greenfield contributor to American Thinker summed up VP Harris’ ode to George Floyd: Goodbye MLK, hello George Floyd.

Jason Whitlock sports journalist: LeBron James, like other elites, is using racial division as a distraction as elites reshape America to be more like communist China. Elites prefer communism. Millionaire elites are protected by communism.

BEHIND THE DEEP STATE

Sundance; Eric Holder 2.0 – Merrick Garland Announces DOJ Investigation of Minneapolis Police Department to Initiate Another Federal Consent Decree
The term “JoeBama” is not a meme… It is a REALITY. Those behind the scene are using the Biden administration as an extension of the third term of Barack Obama. Same people; same policies; same agenda, and same exact goals. As a consequence U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland is duplicating the exact same policy directives as former DOJ Attorney General Eric Holder. The people in place are identical; the actions they take are identical; the purpose of their activity is identical. The DOJ is politically weaponized to achieve ideological goals. The most recent example of the synergy happens today with AG Garland announcing a DOJ civil rights investigation into the Minneapolis police department. Cut to the chase, . . .

Sundance; U.S. Postal Service Running Covert Surveillance Operation to Monitor Social Media Posts, The Program Sounds Identical to DHS Surveillance Program
Again it is important to repeat, this type of activity is one long continuum. The IRS was previously used; federal contractors for the FBI have previously been used, and now the United States Postal Service is running a covert surveillance program against Americans that sounds suspiciously like the prior DHS announcement. The Yahoo news article is filled with people saying they don’t know why. But that’s only because they have not been paying attention. The USPS has the systems in place to record every single package (sender and recipient), of every single piece of mail, sent anywhere at all times. They have a massive database of information on every single American. So when you put the USPS statutory authority together with their technical capability, and then consider they operate their own police force… and then tie it together with . . .

AN AMERICA IN DECLINE

McAllister: Not Dead Yet
As we approach the hundredth day of the Biden “presidency,” any logical, patriotic American has to wonder what more would someone do if they were trying to systematically destroy every ideal and virtue our nation has stood for in its history. From porous borders to suppressed citizen freedoms, unbridled spending yet throttled economic growth, inciting divisiveness while promoting untethered morality, our enemies must imagine themselves in an Old Milwaukee commercial, “It doesn’t get any better than this.” We’re a long ways from 1776, Toto. Our nation began with an initial declaration of independence and now every law and executive order from this administration is leading us toward dependence — debtor dependence, energy dependence, and government dependence for the begged permission to pursue life, liberty, and happiness. The list of grievances and offenses are staggering and too numerous to mention and if one does, they are censored or banned by the government’s confederate oligarchs of Big Tech. It’s a depressing situation and the truth of the matter is a sobering one. […] We’ve got some work to do.

Rossiter: The Toppling of the United States of America
In 1945, Lutheran Pastor Martin Niemoller, who survived the Nazi concentration camps, penned a document now referred to as the “Bystanders Credo.” These are significant words that reflect what happened in Germany and serve as a warning of what can happen anywhere. He looked at the situation from his viewpoint as a Lutheran pastor, others have looked at what happened in Germany from a broader perspective. Below I combined Niemoller’s words with the words of others. Niemoller’s words are in bold text. The Bystanders Credo 1930 – 1945 Nazi Germany First they came for the mentally ill, and I did not speak out, because no one I knew was mentally ill. Then they came for the physically disabled, and I did not speak out, because I was not disabled. Then they came for …] This is a prime example of apathy and the arrogance of believing “It won’t happen to me.” As I review American history since the second decade of the 20th century, I can now see that a parallel to the Bystanders Credo has been repeated in the United States of America. It has not been as brutal as the Nazi version, but it has been every bit as devastating to the nation our Founding Fathers established 240 years ago.

A CULTURE IN DECLINE

Payne: Census data show long rise in single-parent homes; experts link to wide array of social ills
According to a new census report, the share of children living in single-parent homes more than doubled over the past 50 years. […] That data, announced by the Census Bureau earlier this month, shows that “the number of children living with two parents has dropped since 1968, while the percentage living with their mother only has doubled,” the bureau said.

THE DEMOCRAT PARTY’S CORRUPT & DANGEROUS MEDIA INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

Deavel: Lies, Damned Lies, and Journalism
Though it’s commonly ascribed to the viciousness of Ye Olde Orange Manne Badde, the state of public (lack of) respect for mainstream journalists these days is pretty low because of, well, the journalistic profession. Gallup started asking Americans about their trust in mass media in 1972, when a majority still had trust in the newspapers and television networks that dominated the landscape. This finding of a majority of those claiming trust continued until 2005 when the figure dipped to 47 percent and never hit 51% again. The latest iteration of the poll, conducted in September 2020, showed that only 9 percent of Americans trust mass media “a great deal” and 31 percent do so “a fair amount,” while 27 percent have “not very much trust” and 33 percent have “none at all” in media.[*] […] What accounts for the dip in the American people’s trust in the media? Perhaps it is because our media “watchdogs” have proven over and over again that they answer to one political master: the Democratic party.

THE DEMOCRAT PARTY’S WAR ON WOMEN

Cleveland; New California Law Could Put Male Serial Rapists Into Women’s Prisons
On January 1, California’s SB-132, which mandates housing prisoners according to their gender identity, took effect. Since then, 261 transfer requests have been made under the law — nearly all men seeking transfers to women’s prisons. To date, only a few transfers have occurred, with the Department of Corrections blaming COVID. While an evergreen excuse, in reality, SB-132 created a nightmare scenario, leaving prisons unable to protect female inmates if they actually do what the law requires.

Wolfe: Louisiana gov. to veto any bills banning sex changes for minors, protecting girls’ sports
Gov. John Bel Edwards (D-LA) has announced he will oppose legislation that would restrict experimental transgender procedures for minors and preserve biological standards in sports. Louisiana state legislators have introduced two bills this session to limit children’s access to “sex change” procedures, and two bills banning gender-confused males from competing in girls’ sports. The measures are pending in committee and have not yet been brought to a vote.
