Ryun: An Urgent Call to Action for the 2024 Elections
We cannot afford to be complacent. The left is not going to hand us this election or even allow for a fair process to unfold. They are preparing for an all-out battle, and so must we. […] So I would humbly submit that it’s time for us all to firmly plant ourselves in reality; no more kumbaya, rainbows and unicorns. A lot of people are excited about positive national polls. Please stop. News alert: it’s 2024, not 1984. It’s great to see President Trump leading in the polls—something that didn’t occur in either 2016 or 2020—but I hope this verbal 2×4 upside the head tempers your optimism with realism. The increasingly freakish left, whose “precious” is political power and who conducted a Stalinistic Star Chamber show trial of the leader of the political opposition, are not going to simply roll over and concede defeat. How do people not comprehend this? The left will not meekly accept Trump’s potential victory. They view him as an existential threat to their status quo, the administrative state, and the ruling class elite. The stakes are too high for them to surrender without doing what they do so well when threatened: scratch, claw and cheat. Most Republicans are Marquis of Queensbury types and are seemingly confused by the back-alley street brawling and win-at-all-cost tactics of the left. Don’t be. In fact, stop whining and grow up. The Trump era has seen a new election phenomenon: Modern-day American Bolsheviks in blue cities have been distorting local elections by counting votes well past election day. Fortunately, there are ways to combat this election distortion plague. Remember how the Democrat mantra was “every vote must be counted” rather than every legal vote being counted? In my August 1, 2023 essay, Beware the ‘Long Count’, I discussed the mechanics of this new phenomenon. With modern computer technology and high-speed scanners, we’re told we must count votes well past election day, even with early voting available long before election day. This is true in many jurisdictions, particularly and notably in big, “blue” Democrat cities. We know that, in November 2024, Democrats will inevitably re-employ long counts in these cities in hopes of again creating enough chaos to distort the process and enable counting until our corrupt, doddering, senile “President” might again miraculously be declared “victorious” after lightly campaigning around naps, feedings, and diaper changes. In “Beware the ‘Long Count,’ I also introduced the concept of the “bogey,” another of the keys to voter fraud. The bogey represents […] So, what to do? The American military that could not be defeated by global nuclear powers was conquered by a band of people dedicated to sexual disorder. Since the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT) in 2010, the Department of Defense (DOD) capitulated to the revolutionary cause of Pride Month with nearly the speed of Kabul’s fall to the Taliban. Can this get worse than Biden’s $6 billion Iran hostage deal? Even as the Biden administration is still trying to undermine Israel by pushing its proposed deal which would save Hamas and leave it in charge in Gaza, the administration is also considering a private deal with Hamas. Biden administration officials have discussed potentially negotiating a unilateral deal with Hamas to secure the release of five Americans being held hostage in Gaza if current cease-fire talks involving Israel fail, according to two current senior U.S. officials and two former senior U.S. officials.
Such negotiations would not include Israel and would be conducted through Qatari interlocutors, as current talks have been, said the officials, all of whom have been briefed on the discussions. Qatar is the state sponsor of Hamas and other Islamic terror groups. The last time we negotiated through Qatar, the Taliban ended up in control of Afghanistan. The only question is what would Biden offer Hamas?

Back in 1979 — not long after the general election that first brought Margaret Thatcher to power — Ian Dury And The Blockheads released the chart-topping single Reasons To Be Cheerful, Part 3. The song is an irresistibly uplifting list of nice (and naughty) things in British life, from ‘Health service glasses’ and ‘Gigolos and brasses’ to ‘Saying okey-dokey’ and ‘Coming out of chokey’. Today, as the nation limps towards another encounter with the ballot box, it’s somehow harder to think of reasons to be cheerful than it was 45 years ago. For Conservatives, it is difficult to see how this election will result in anything other than a Labour majority north of 150, and hundreds of former Tory MPs in search of gainful employment. Indeed, it might be even worse than that for the Tories. One eye-popping poll I have seen puts Labour on 443 seats after July 4, the Tories on just 143 — in Tony Blair‘s 1997 landslide, the difference was 419 to 165. Such a rout would imply a Labour majority of 236, the largest any government has enjoyed since 1935!
