The ICD-10 coding system was created by the World Health Organization (WHO) and doctors are required to use it to categorize different kinds of patients. The ICD-10 codes are preserved in a patient’s electronic health record and used by insurance companies for billing purposes. The CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics maintains the ICD-10 codes. Within ICD-10 codes, there is a category known as “ICD-10-CM” codes (which are reportedly used by the CDC for tracking purposes), and this “CM” category includes the new “Unvaccinated for COVID-19” category and also the “Partially Vaccinated For COVID-19” category and the “other underimmunization status” category. The Committee made it clear that the new codes would be used to “track” unvaccinated people. At the time of the meeting, people who had adverse reactions to a past vaccine would still be categorized as unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, even if they are physically unable to get more vaccines or boosters. […] An NIH government website states: “ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes will tell the story of each patient encounter, describe etiologies of the disease process, explain the complications of care, provide a basis for medical necessity, support coverage for payment purposes, identify incidence of disease, and support statistical tracking for healthcare practices, as well as provide disease state information on medical practices across the continuum of care.”

A May 23, 2023, email from Damon Marx, senior counsel in the office of New York Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman, shows that the FBI provided documents apparently pertaining to the whistleblowers that were “very helpful” to Goldman.

A heavily criticized federal ID program, Real ID, is set to become mandatory for domestic air travel in the U.S. on May 7, 2025. Once in effect, the federal scheme will ban adults from domestic flights unless they have replaced “traditional” state-issued IDs with Real ID. And the mandate will also extend to citizens’ ability to access some federal facilities. The origin of the legislation goes back to 2005 and the REAL ID Act, which was explained by the Department of Homeland Security as standardization of the issuance of ID cards, driver’s licenses, and similar forms of identification. Starting in the spring of 2025, travelers will no longer be able to use “traditional” driver’s licenses, although passports are an option.

Congress has usurped the president’s constitutional power to curb spending through the Impoundment Control Act. Imagine if you were provided $50 million to build a tank, but you were able to do the job properly for only $32 million. In the normal world, you would be applauded for getting the job done under budget. You might even get a promotion. In Washington, D.C., you are violating the law according to many. Under the Impoundment Control Act (ICA) — as interpreted by many in Congress and the Government Accountability Office (GAO) — if the president intentionally tries to spend less money than Congress appropriates to get the job done, he is breaking the law. In 2019, the Democrat-controlled House impeached President Donald Trump, in part, because he paused the spending of about $200 million in funds for Ukraine for 60 days to conduct a policy review based on national security concerns. (Disclosure: Mark Paoletta served as OMB general counsel and issued the legal opinion authorizing this pause on these funds). The GAO determined that this 60-day pause violated the ICA because the president was prohibited from pausing this money despite these concerns. Congress used this pause as a basis to impeach the president. You could not dream up a more bizarre and unconstitutional attack on the presidency. Enacted in 1974, the ICA made it unlawful for the president not to spend every dollar Congress appropriated regardless of whether he needed to use all the funds. This law went against 200 years of history in which both Congress and the president agreed he was not required to spend every dollar of an appropriation if he could carry out a program for less money and even, in many cases, if he disagreed with the program itself.

She also spoke of the many apparent links between these drugs and seriously violent behavior in a significant minority of those who take them, and how the government, working hand-in-hand with Pharma, has gone to great lengths to suppress any information that might allow analysts to determine once and for all if there is, in fact, a causal relationship between the consumption of these lucrative pharmaceuticals and the violent actions of the children that take them.

These families cannot go in their own backyards during this event unless they want their children to see sex performers. Further, anyone who shows up at the popular Lake Erie beach without being forewarned could have their entire family outing exposed to sex acts.

Kennedy’s Instagram account includes numerous mentions of the USO and military imagery, including pictures with his apparent spouse wearing a U.S. Navy uniform.[…] While Miss USA is more of a modeling competition and Miss America more of a scholarship and career competition, both also partner with pageants for girls as young as age 4. The adult pageant winners “mentor” these young women. They are obviously role models for these little girls, and thus it matters a lot who they are.

A total of six seats on City Council were up for grabs, including Ward 2, Ward 4, Ward 7, Ward 8, and two At-large. On Tuesday, thousands of Washington, DC residents cast their ballots in the district’s local elections. For the first time, however, United States citizens were not the only ones allowed to do so after a new law that came into effect this week extending the ability to vote in local elections to noncitizens. Under the Local Resident Voting Rights Act, noncitizens can vote in local elections if they have been residents in the jurisdiction for only 30 days, meet requirements regarding age and competency, and have not registered to vote elsewhere in the country. The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigration Responsibility Act of 1996 still prohibits noncitizens from taking part in state and federal elections. The DC Board of Elections allowed noncitizens to prove their residency via any of a number of documents.

This summer, for the first time, genetically modified mosquitoes could be released in the U.S. On May 1, the company Oxitec received an experimental use permit from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to release millions of genetically modified mosquitoes (labeled by Oxitec as OX5034) every week over the next two years in Florida and Texas. Females of this mosquito species, Aedes aegypti, transmit dengue, chikungunya, yellow fever, and Zika viruses. When these lab-bred GM males are released and mate with wild females, their female offspring die. Continual, large-scale releases of these OX5034 GM males should eventually cause the temporary collapse of a wild population. However, as vector biologists, geneticists, policy experts, and bioethicists, we are concerned that current government oversight and scientific evaluation of GM mosquitoes do not ensure their responsible deployment. Coral reefs that can withstand rising sea temperatures, American chestnut trees that can survive blight, and mosquitoes that can’t spread disease are examples of how genetic engineering may transform the natural world. Genetic engineering offers an unprecedented opportunity for humans to reshape the fundamental structure of the biological world. Yet, as new advances in genetic decoding and gene editing emerge with speed and enthusiasm, the ecological systems they could alter remain enormously complex and understudied.
