Mr. Yuri Bezmenov was a Soviet informant and KGB operative who defected to the United States in the early 70s. Within the interview [full video here] Bezmenov lays out the four stages of “ideological subversion” created by radical Marxists to indoctrinate and weaken nations from within.
It is my contention the Chicago Marxists aligned with Barack Obama (revolutionary communists) were/are following this ‘four stage’ roadmap. Piper: Top Republicans demand answers from FBI for ‘quasi-investigation’ of conservative women’s group
The FBI used a bureaucratic workaround to investigate a women’s group with a socially conservative agenda, despite having no “particular factual predication” for wrongdoing, according to a document disclosed under the Freedom of Information Act. The revelation outraged top Republicans on the House and Senate Judiciary committees, who are demanding an explanation from FBI Director Christopher Wray. The July 2016 review of Concerned Women for America (CWA) for the “possibility of fraudulent activity” was based on its two-star rating (out of four) by Charity Navigator, which evaluates nonprofits for their financial health and transparency, according to the FBI “charity assessment.” […] “This document raises serious questions about the FBI’s targeting of domestic civil society organizations on the basis of a third-party opinion, and not any credible allegation of a crime,” House Judiciary ranking member Jim Jordan of Ohio wrote to Wray Wednesday.

Howe: Court partially blocks New York eviction moratorium
A divided Supreme Court on Thursday night granted a request from a group of New York landlords to lift part of a state moratorium on residential evictions put in place at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ruling in Chrysafis v. Marks came three days after a federal district judge in Washington, D.C., heard oral argument in a challenge to the Biden administration’s newly enacted federal moratorium on evictions in most of the country. […] In a brief unsigned order on Thursday, the Supreme Court granted the landlords’ request to block New York from enforcing the portion of the COVID Emergency Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention Act that generally allows tenants to ward off eviction, without a hearing, simply by certifying that they have suffered financial hardship as a result of the pandemic. Such a scheme, the court explained, “violates the Court’s longstanding teaching that ordinarily ‘no man can be a judge in his own case.’” However, the court continued, tenants can still raise financial problems resulting from the pandemic as a defense in court.

The Right Scoop: Texas Senate passes elections bill after 15-hour Democrat filibuster
The Texas state Senate passed Senate Bill 1, an election overhaul bill that would add new restrictions and criminal penalties to the voting process, Thursday morning on a 18-11 party line vote. The final vote was taken fewer than 20 minutes after a 15-hour filibuster of the bill from state Sen. Carol Alvarado concluded. Alvarado, wearing a back brace for support and using a catheter, spoke on the bill for 15 hours and four minutes on her feet without sitting, leaning, eating, drinking or using the restroom — in accordance with Texas rules. The Houston Democrat concluded her filibuster, surrounded by several of her colleagues who took turns asking questions throughout the night, on the Texas Senate floor just before 9 a.m. CT. And now the bill heads to the Texas House . . .

With Afghan cities falling to the Taliban day after day, the U.S. is sending in more troops — to help evacuate American diplomats. Driving the news: The State Department announced today that it will shrink down to a “core diplomatic presence” in Kabul due to the deteriorating security situation. The Pentagon is sending 3,000 troops to Afghanistan’s international airport to assist in that mission and help get Afghans who worked with U.S. troops out of the country. Behind the scenes: President Biden brought together his senior national security team last night for a briefing on Afghanistan, and by this morning, there was a unanimous decision to send in troops and partially evacuate the embassy. What they’re saying: State Department spokesperson Ned Price attempted to downplay the announcement, insisting that it “shouldn’t be read as any sort of message to the Taliban.” This is not abandonment. This is not an evacuation. This is not the wholesale withdrawal. — Ned Price The Biden administration continues to insist that the Taliban will sacrifice any future international legitimacy if it takes power by force and points to the negotiating table in Doha, Qatar, as the true path forward.
Such statements sound increasingly futile as the Afghan government’s hold on the country evaporates by the hour.

U.S. President Joe Biden will convene a “Summit for Democracy” with other world leaders in December, the White House said on Aug. 11, in an effort to shore up faith in democratic governance and defend “against authoritarianism.” The action is widely seen as a response to the Chinese Communist Party and its leader, Xi Jinping, who in his speeches has vowed to see that the ruling totalitarian party in China shapes mankind’s common future by promoting “socialism with Chinese characteristics.” Taiwan, an independent self-ruled liberal democratic island that the Chinese regime wants to claim as part of its territory, expressed its wish to participate in Biden’s democracy summit after the White House’s announcement.

Cases have increased 1,829 percent over the last two weeks, while hospitalizations have jumped 157 percent.
