Police reportedly found ‘explosives’ in car near former President Donald Trump‘s rally site on Long Island ahead of his speech Wednesday evening. If it is confirmed, it would be the latest shocking security breach and comes just three days after a would-be assassin was arrested at his Palm Beach golf club. Sources in the Nassau County Police Department allegedly told One America News Network journalist James Lalino that the rally site ‘perimeter was breached and a blue barrel was removed.’

The group requested an investigation into what it says are “apparent scientific violations” in relation to how NOAA reports on climate-related disasters that exceed $1 billion in damages. […] The numbers receive a lot of media attention every year, and media often present the numbers as evidence that extreme weather events are becoming more destructive as a result of climate change. […] Pielke showed that NOAA periodically added and removed events without providing any documentation or justification for the changes. The agency lacks any transparency of its sources, input data or methodologies used for the annual report, according to Pielke’s study, and this makes it impossible for an independent researcher to verify the agency’s findings.

Heat pumps can, indeed, generate heat, but at what cost? Like all “green” measures, they are absurdly inefficient and therefore expensive. If you haven’t heard much about heat pumps yet, you should start paying attention. They are right up there with wind turbines in the Greens’ plan to downgrade your standard of living.

A group of Iranian hackers hacked into Trump’s and Biden’s presidential campaigns this summer, in what the FBI labeled last month was an attempt to influence the 2024 presidential election. The FBI, Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), said the hackers have also tried to send private information from the Trump campaign to the U.S. media, but did not indicate whether any of the information was ever published.

Rally goers met with hateful rhetoric and unexplained chemical burns to eyes. Last week, former President Donald Trump held his first post-debate rally in Tucson, a predominantly left-leaning city. The event took place at the Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, drawing attention to Trump’s new policy announcement and the controversy surrounding the rally before and after. Before the rally, Pima County Supervisor Adelita Grijalva sparked backlash by posting a profane sign on social media. The sign, which read “F you MAGA, no more Orange” in Spanish, was captioned, “Welcome to Tucson.” […] While the rally drew a large and enthusiastic crowd, it ended with an unexpected turn of events. Approximately 20 attendees, primarily members of the “Latinos for Trump” group who had been onstage, reported becoming ill with mysterious symptoms shortly after the rally concluded. ‘Muzzling Christians’: Governor unilaterally makes it illegal to talk kids out of sex changes
Democratic Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear issued an executive order Wednesday that bans “conversion therapy” for minors, but did not include a prohibition against sex change treatments. The order states that it would be illegal to use state or federal funding in providing conversion therapy for minors, and would give licensing boards the ability to take action on licensees if they are caught performing conversion therapy on a minor. Beshear vetoed a bill banning sex changes for minors in 2023 that was eventually overridden by the state Legislature. “Kentucky cannot possibly reach its full potential unless it is free from discrimination by or against any citizen – unless all our people feel welcome in our spaces, free from unjust barriers and supported to be themselves,” Beshear said in a press release. […] “He can’t just issue an executive order and prescribe law,” Chris Wiest, an attorney in northern Kentucky that is suing against the order, told the Lexington Herald Leader. “This is really basic Con Law 101 stuff, and I think the governor knows it, frankly. He’s not stupid, but he gets the headlines and he excites the base.”

The Norwalk Police Department announced Monday that it had arrested Margaret Anderson after being made aware last week of a “potential threat” to Oviatt Elementary School, located in Norwalk, Iowa. In a release, the department said that Anderson has been charged with a “Threat of Terrorism” under Iowa Code 708A.5, and had been processed into the Warren County Jail. […] Anderson is a 19-year-old female who identifies as a transgender man […] The revelation comes more than a year after a trans-identifying shooter killed three children and three adults at Covenant Christian School in Nashville in March 2023. News that the shooter identified as transgender caused many in the mainstream media to suggest, even as families were newly mourning the victims, that the shooter’s transgender identity was irrelevant and that the LGBTQ community was in danger from reprisals.

Adams: Yale divinity students forced to read from witch’s ‘spell’ at orientation
After this show of inclusion, we as students were led to read aloud, line by line and one by one, from Adrienne Brown’s “Radical Gratitude Spell.” Brown (pictured) has been described by Meeting of Minds as a “mixed-race Black queer American writer, community organizer, facilitator, witch and- may I say- goddess.” Brown herself ascribes to witchcraft, and it informs her public work. Her website describes her as someone who “grows healing ideas in public” through “her writing, which includes short- and long-form fiction, nonfiction, spells, tarot” and “her music, which includes songwriting, singing and immersive musical rituals.” This context of Brown, her work, and her particular spiritual inclinations was not given to students before participating in the reading. As such, the group reading of the spell took on an undeniable coven-like feeling, with students unable to fully consent to the pseudo-ritual knowingly, despite the Circle Rules. […] They were unsurprised at the inclusion of the spell into orientation. Apparently, it is a popularly known fact amongst more conservative and religious circles in the Yale community that there is little still “divine” about the Divinity School.

The American Economic Association found space for at least 45 panels on DEI at its upcoming conference – but had no room for a discussion about economist Friedrich Hayek. Chapman University Professor Mark Skousen revealed how he wanted to organize a discussion about Hayek, a Nobel Prize-winning libertarian economist famous for his book “The Road to Serfdom,” and other writings. “Earlier this year, economist Tawni Hunt Ferrarini and I proposed a session for the January meeting honoring the free-market Austrian Friedrich Hayek on the 50th anniversary of his winning the Nobel Prize,” Skousen wrote on Monday in the Wall Street Journal. But Harvard University Professor Lawrence Katz said he was “unable to include this session in the program,” according to Skousen. Katz is the incoming president of the economist group (which is run by Democrats).

Jerkovich: Report Shows Decrease In LGBTQ Characters Represented In Films, Per GLAAD
A new report from GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) claimed that there’s been a decrease in what it labeled LGBTQ representation in films, down from a high the previous year. According to the advocacy group’s 2024 Studio Responsibility Index, the study — which tracks the “quantity, quality and diversity” of LGBTQ characters in movies — found that of these 256 films in 2023, 70 contained an LGBTQ character. The report bemoaned that this was down from the 100 LGBTQ characters that appeared in 350 movies the organization tracked in 2022. […] In one section of the report, the organization bemoaned the fact that there hadn’t been enough LGBTQ characters in kids/family entertainment, writing that “the overall lack of representation in the kids and family genre is disappointing.”
